Having lived my entire life in the immediate Fort Worth area, I couldn't stop banging my forehead with the palm of my hand and repeating "d'oh, d'oh, d'oh" over and over when someone matter of factly launched a conversation on the plausibility of a deep underground military base at what used to be Carswell Air Force Base. Makes perfect sense when I think about it.

The problem is there seems to be a lack of literature and detailed research available. About the extent I can find so far is simply the possibility of Carswell being interconnected with the underground system reaching at least to and of course including Dulce and the probable underground use of the facility 40 plus years ago for disposal or temporary storage of nuclear waste.

I humbly and respectfully am putting out a request for information, literature, research, evidence, etc if anyone can point me. I will be happy to report back with highlights as soon as I can accumulate enough information of substance. In fact, I may post seeking input and opinions regarding reliability and validity of what I am able to gather together.

Thanks for any help in advance.

You live in the area, you say, surely you are most qualified of your request? After all, you can visit the area, interview the neighbors, try and locate any known military personnel in the area. Cameras, always leave a known (hidden, I might add) note of where you 're going and with whom you're going or whom you are meeting, notebooks, pens, coffee (lol)... if you seriously want information, you are the most qualified to find it.

A assume your note is less than sincere, (if otherwise, please accept my apologies) but I am prepared for cynicism. I can assure you there are many, many people far more qualified than I who can do the subject considerably more justice. However, I AM prepared to give all I can and am confident I am capable of rendering a comprehensive and meaningful report.

I will take your suggestions to heart, and I want to stress that at this point I am only performing some due diligence. Preliminary. I have immense, unwavering confidence in the ATS community as the absolute best resource on the planet for what I asked for. I do not anticipate this to be a 24 hour project. I am prepared to invest as much time as it takes, stretching into months/years if necessary. There are other, more noble causes but as you stated, since I live here there is no reason why I can't take this bull by the horns (Texas slang). I simply want to contribute to the community.

Rest assured, I will embark on first and second and third hand interviews and observation as soon as I gain enough insight to not butcher the subject in the process.

Thanks for helping me realize I should have explained myself better.

That seems to be a common thing about secret underground bases. If there was literature and detailed info they would be secret.

Suggestion: Take a tent and stake out a little camp on the main access road to the area. Start Monday morning and hang out for a week. If you see no odd traffic in that time frame there may be nothing there. We always know something big is up at Area 51 when the catering trucks head out there, like they had food delivered during the recent lockdown at Dugway

Follow the kitchen... it always works

Old Carswell Air Force Base Weapons Storage Area

This was the nuclear weapons storage and assembly area, commonly known as the "Q Site" for Carswell. See www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/facility/q_area-intro.htm for more information. Note, the actual boundaries of this site are only approximate, and based on the visible site features and the perimeter road. An underground tunnel is/was rumored to exist between this area and Carswell Air Force Base to the East. At the Weapons Storage Area (WSO) a removal action consisting of scabbling concrete to remove low-level radiation from a bunker was conducted. Radiation was intended to be removed to background levels. However, some residual remains. The final recommendation will likely be to leave the residual contamination in place with no further removal, but with a use restriction on the contaminated bunker to prevent unsafe exposure.

I don't know about an underground base there, although it is/was large enough for
that possibility. I posted a thread earlier tonight on the radiation data base in the USA; not much
for you there on this base however this is noted:

"Carswell AFB *
contaminated site
Carswell AFB, TX"

"NPL Site
Pipe disposal site"

That thread was posted here: abovetopsecret.com...

S & F to the OP for your efforts.

Thanks for the info. Will be looking into it and see if it can lead to more. Of course you are correct about no literature such as a brochure with a map that says "Aliens here" or "spacecraft in E6", etc. I am hoping there is more written about it that I have seen so far, and continue to appreciate the great input.

I am sorry I cannot help you with your search for information on this particular, possible, DUMB.

I will share a strange experience with you though. When I was a teenager, grwoing up in Suburban area of Knoxville, TN - in the town of Seymour, we (my mischevious friends and myself) would frequently take backroad trips, looking for isolated areas to hang out cause the teenage problems that suited us.

During one trip we decided to go to Bluff Mountain, near Wears Valley, TN - very near to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN - (Sevier co.) This mountain was not particularly tall, but the roads we were traveling were not daily routes for commuters or resident, as there were no homes on the road at the time and there may still not be to this day.

Once on top of the mountain you can climb and abandoned fire / lookout tower and see for miles and miles in all direction, where the mountains didn't block your view in the distance. You can see Knoxville, Alcoa/Maryville, and Gatlinburg, including Mt. Leconte.

After hanging out at the top of this mountain for a couple hours we decided to leave. On the way out of the firetower drive we could have went out the way we came in or we could have taken a one lane, gravel road that seemd to go down the mountain, but in the opposite direction.

After travelling down this road for awhat seemed like a couple miles, but probably wasn't very far as the winged fly, because the road kept crisscrossing back and forth, to compensate for the steep grade of the mountainside terrain. We came to the end of this small road and were very suprised at what we found.

At the end of this supremely low travelled road we ran into no less that 1 dozen Earth moving machines, what you might see when tunnel construction is being done so that a new road can pss through a tough stratch of mountain terrain. This wasn't so odd, but what they appeard to be building was even more strange to us.

The entrance was approx. 50ft wide and 10-12ft tall, completely concret base, walls and ceiling. Ver imposing structure to be in the middle of nowhere like this.

there were hinges set in place on both sides of the massive entrance-way, but no doors on them. The hinges were made of concrete, or appeared so. there was no door in the area that might be later installed, so I assumed, at the time, it was an addition put in place at a later point of construction.

We got out and climbed the chain link fence, that was locked with chain and masterlock, connecting this area with the road. Walking to the front of this tunnel we could start to see that this complex went deep into the ground. We walked at least 125-150ft into it before it began getting too dark. Our teenage nerves getting the best of us we returned to the original entrance.

There were no signs of anyone being there at all on the outside or, from what we could see, on the inside. It was obvious that work had been going on here recently, the concrete still had the wet, un-cured, look to it and was very cold and still very clean. Going down into the tunnel there were no doors on the sides of it and it seemed to go deeper and deeper, though I can't be certain.

There are no military, current or former, in the area that I am aware of that could account for such a structure. There are no thru roads, or main highways anywhere near this structure.

That was 13 years ago now and since then I have been back, many times with one or more of the friends that were on that first trip, though things have changed.

You can no longer travel the full distance down the road and are stopped about 1 half mile away by dead-end, private drive, and no trespassing signs stopping you. We walked down to it again and found the chain-link gates were not there, but trees were planted in front of the structure, or had began growing, where the road once came to the chain-link gate.

The front of the structure was now sealed with the massive doors that have to be a minimum of 20ft wide and 10ft tall or more. They feel like they are incredibly, thick, solid concrete doors that match the exterior of the structure. The hinges we once saw by themselves now held the massive doors tightly and the entire facade of the structure seemed to now be one unit, though you can make out the outline of the doors. I mean it all flows together like it was built all at once. If I hadn't seen it without the doors off I would have thought it was just a giant retaining wall of some sort.

There is some type of hole on the front of one of the doors. It looks like you could insert some type of tool there and possibly wedge open, or lever open the door, but we never tried.

In the passing years I have never really thought much about the place or what might be going on there, if anything. However, when I see threads about DUMBS, or hear other people talking about hidden underground bases, it crosses my mind, every time, that this could possibly be one of them.

Also, the last time I went there was about 3 years ago now, but even then the area where the gravel road cut a path is gone and it is covered with undergrowth. Knowing where the road once was you can still make an outline of the path and you can still find gravel on the ground, but it looks like it was there from 50 years ago, not just over a decade.

Makes me wonder, but I wouldn't even know where to start in looking for information on it, or other possible DUMBS in the area.

If you run across any for the area mentioned I would love to take a look.

Sorry for the long winded response.

I was looking for a submarine base in Hawthorne Nevada.... I found my best leads looking at EPA concerns, county records for silly stuff like trash disposal, and other small government agencies. Some of the info was coded with other names but the address was the same... stuff like that.

One piece of luck came when the local little town had a Veteran's Day parade... just a little one... but one year the base I was looking for took first prize float in that parade

A friend of mine's spouse is highly placed. So I did a little snooping and found an internal non classified newsletter that mentioned a recent promotion...
When I told her she said "How the heck did you know that?"

THAT is how you find info

As to that sub base under the desert... we drove by and saw a little sign, so took a picture of it. The guards came out and took the camera (a cheap instant one) So next time we didn't stop the car as we snapped.

Now I have all the proof I need

Wanted to thank you for the help. I will be taking it all in and have recently managed to receive the assistance of a quite experienced, very well known researcher. I have been asked not to disclose a name, but there can be no doubt this project took a tremendous leap forward.

You are correct that seemingly innocent, meaningless, or otherwise insignificant resources can lead to great discovery. Unfortunately for me, there hasn't been very much interest in Carswell as it has been historically viewed as relatively boring and uninteresting. However, according to my new research mentor the very fact that Carswell was the supposed first place that Roswell materials and evidence went to suggests that perhaps the base has gone somewhat out of it's way to avoid attention. That scenario is part of what brought this person to my aid because apparently there is a building contention that Carswell is considerably more than meets the eye or the military would not have wasted the fuel to come here and went straight to Wright-Patterson. The natural extension of this line of thought insinuates that there could potentially be anything ranging from a benign incident involving a tossed aside lid from a nuclear waste barrel to a fully fleshed underground research and retention facility exceeding any other in existence. Of course, that is probably unlikely, but unless we question and do our homework, we will never know what we can all learn.

Note: the researcher that has approached me with the offer of assistance has intriguing information leaning towards the latter and some almost unbelievable artifacts and documentation supporting that conclusion. I am cautiously optimistic that should this evidence survive the requisite scrutiny of serious investigation, the ATS community could lead us all into new territory with incredible potential.

Will share as I am able, and thank you again.

Yes, I still live in the area... and I can't imagine it would be a nuclear bunker, being that it was under construction just 13-14 years ago... Would be a very deep bunker and it didn't go straight down into the ground, but more of a gradual slope into the mountainside, no where near a government facility, actually no where near anything. I can't figure why they would build anything and then let the wildlife overtake the area.

To the other poster... I apologize for trying to give a detailed account of what I saw. I know that if I had given not as much detail I would have been flamed for that as well. So, between too much description, too little, or not sharing at all, which would you prefer?

Can you provide any more specific details in reference to the trail/roadway that you took coming off of Bluff Mountain? Name of the raod (if there is one), trail direction or intersecting roads, etc? I live not to far from there and you have peaked my interest. Thanks!

Gee, that looks like Walker Lake. By the way, when I took care of a patient while stationed in N.M. her husband worked for the DOE at Los Alamos, and has Q clearance. I asked him if he had been down to the tubes recently,
He looked at me sternly for a second while leaning towards me, sitting in his chair. He stated,"what?" So I repeated the question looking directly in his eyes,"you know, the tubes." He eased back into his chair and gently shaking his head stating,"No, not recently."
D.U.M.B.S exist, and the tubes exist.

A word of caution, be nice to the guys in the white vans and pick-up trucks, they can turn your day into a bad one or good one.
When we went to Dulce, www.abovetopsecret.com...
we were in a GI Black Suburban. When we ran into a guy in a white pick-up, he saw that we were all in uniform, and we all looked at each other and drove on past. I not sure if you would be so lucky.

We were the first couple to be married there when it reopened.

You seem genuinely surprised that you can't find information in the public domain about a top secret military base hidden deep underground.

I agree with other repliers. If it's in your local area, why don't you go check it out and post your findings here?
