just came over the twitter wire from the Washington post awaiting further details and link.
smoke is coming from the Madison building in the library of congress
there are no links at the moment , this story is breaking , will report with updates.

building has been evacuated

So, no thoughts or opinions? Just a basic headline with no links to sources or anything?

With all due respect you really should have waited until you have the links and sources and then included an opinion of your own. Thoughts etc....

Again, maybe you should have waited until there were links?

At the very least it is expected of members to include thoughts and opinions and avoid minimalistic threads.

So.... until you at LEAST have an opinion or thought in the issue you posted about... There is not much anyone can say. I am sure you understand.

until more info is releases i have no thoughts on this , i cant speculate what it is , im sure more details will emerge alot of people get there news from here so i thought i would put it up, this is ongoing

ok update, building hasd been evacuated. at the moment.

The first Twitter post of this came from @dcfireems, in this order (top to bottom):

Madison Bldg - Library of Congress - 101 independence Av SE - report of smoke in bldg

Update - LOC - report of smoke on 6th floor - FFs investigating

Update - LOC - Independence Av SE - some evacuations - smoke in bldg - possible HVAC (heating unit) - light smoke 6th fl - no inj

Update-LOC- traffic issues in area US Cap PD controlling traffic - FFs searching for source of burning odor on several floors & smoke on 6th

update - LOC - Madison Bldg - all smoke clear (disspated) - burning odor appears to be coming from air handler - FFs investigating

smoke is coming from the sixth floor. www.rollcall.com...

Did anyone say what color the smoke is? Perhaps they're picking a new Senate
