Their days are numbered, peolple are sick of them and getting less tolerable of their filth. I honestly can't believe someone hasn't beat the crap out of them yet, cop or no cops. I will be part of the patriot gaurd if they show up in my neck of the woods, I suggest others that ride do so also. If they do decide to protest this 9 yr olds funeral, I have a feeling that someones going go ape chit on them and hope they do cause at this point they really do need a good old fashion arse kicking. The hatred they teach is sickening. I wish someone would buy out every piece a property they own and turn them into homeless shelters for our vets

i grew up being forced to attend a baptist church and this guy isn't far off from your typical southern baptist 15 years ago. Man, i can't stop laughing at the guy... the only thing more ridiculous than these people are mormons and jehovahs witnesses. please don't post stuff like this in the future. i used to be so hateful against it and seeing stuff like this makes me excited to bash it. honestly i mean no insult to christians it's just hard for someone with my background to not type something.

That's an absolute BS post. Westboro is nothing like your typical S Baptist church As matter of fact I don't even consider them a church and neither does ANY Baptist Org. Maybe the one you went to was like them but to catagorize Westboro as a typical Baptist church is wrong. My Father was a S Baptist Minister and I've been in more churches than I could ever remember, none of them were remotely close to the teachings of Westboro, they don't teach hatred. I'm not a Baptist so I have no horse in the race besides the truth of my experience.

My first girlfriend was a Baptist. I'm pretty sure the average Baptist cringes when guys like this get the microphone.

I'm not a religionist myself, but I wouldn't call this guy a "christian" at all.

Should he be stopped? I don't think so. He can say what he wants, to a point. If it turns out the guy does incite some violence, and it can be proved, then let the laws dealing with that shut him up.

Personally, I would think at some point he could be open to a lawsuit, maybe from Morris Dees or some other lawyer-low-life, who sees this old beast as their next lunch ticket.

How people would ever want to put money in the plate to help support that guy is the real mystery.

It's likely that they also receive donations from people who share similar views on homosexuality. It could be that every time they appear on tv, they get more donations.

There is a line between ' freedom of speech ' and treason, isn't there? As it was stated, if an islamist prattled off such venom, he'd be strung up on the nearest tree and beaten like a birthday pinata. If these creatures ( sorry, I can't bring myself to call them even remotely human ) are so disgusted with this country, they need to be deported. I don't care where, or how. Perhaps we can send them to sudan, or iran, perhaps north korea? If there are lawyers in their midst, then they ought to know that they have it pretty damn good here in the USA, no matter what. We the public have endured enough of their foolishness.

Hate breeds hate.
source www.military.com...

Authorities arrested a wounded, decorated Army veteran after he followed members of a controversial Topeka church and he was found in a vehicle stocked with weapons outside Wichita City Hall on Tuesday, sources said.

In the man's vehicle, which was backed into a spot in the City Hall parking lot, investigators found items including a rifle, a handgun and more than 90 rounds of ammunition, said a source close to the investigation who asked not to be named.

By Tuesday evening, the man, in his 20s, was booked into the Sedgwick County, Kan., Jail on suspicion of stalking, false impersonation and driving with a revoked license, records showed.

Although it goes against my morals, I'm not so sure that I wouldn't have looked left if I was the cop. I don't think killing is the answer but you reap what you sow. Karma will catch up to them soon enough anyway. The confrontations at their protest are getting more aggressive, just a matter of time before they're dealt with in some fashion. Nobody likes these people, lots of Patriot Guard riders, and 1% MC members in AZ. Patriot Gaurds ignores them but not so sure about some of the other 1% clubs which have their fair share of vets.

yeah westboro is a typical baptist if you look at the civil rights era, they are stuck in the 50's and 60's. But...yes they are not typical i just like to pick at relgion since people like these are asking for it. A typical baptist that i grew up in were pacifist and only preached to help not to retaliate in hate or violence.

No offense, but this is non-news.

Not much else to say...of course they will picket it.

Well for one were not in the 50's and 60's. and no the typical Baptist church back then was nothing like the westboro church. I don't think you can single out and generalize the Baptist church as being racist and hateful (I assume thats where your going with this) in that era because they weren't. My Father in between Ministries during the late 40's up till his death a yr ago also did church bond programs all over the country to raise funds for churches of all religions and races. I don't ever remember him once having racial issues with any church he ever worked with, matter of fact the predominately black churches he said were some of the best and friendliest he ever worked with. I'm not saying there wasn't racist Baptist back in the day (I know there was) but you could say that about society and any religion in general back then, it was a dark era for America in a racial respect. My Grandfather was also in the ministry after he left congress/ House of Reps and his law practice, so I have a fairly good understanding of religious mentalities thru the yrs.. I can't hardly walk in a church now and don't consider my self religious but I think your view of the baptist church is somewhat skewed to me. Anyway it's all good RM and I don't want to wander OT anymore than I have, cheers. I do see a correlation between Phelps and Hitler though.

I dont know about this, but I just started thinking about ol Fred here and his 'views' and after reading 4 pages so far, I was just wondering how to take advantage of Fred, and his actions, and his openly spewed opinions and positions,
He can and does print, say, video tape, preach, put on banners, some of the nastiest stuff, some of the most shocking stuff, I mean he JUST NOW called for MORE killing, and and and !, nothing gets done about it,
NOTHING,
not by police, or courts, or any government agency, not by any religious sect, not by anyone,
YEAH WE FIND HIM TOTALLY NUTS AND OFFENSIVE, but, nothing gets done to him.
AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So here we are, visiting a web site full of some of the most far out there theories on conspiracies, on government takeover of rights and liberty and global conquest and loss of humane compassion and financial meltdown,
end of days, 2012, etc etc and FRED, crazy old Fred, operates as an untouchable, how?
If he can call on more deaths, rejoice in murder and little kids getting killed, if he can disrupt a family during one of their most sensitive moments, a funeral, and cause them even more mental anguish and emotional pain,
AND nothing can be done about it,
WHY are WE so worried that SOMETHING will be done to US if we speak out against truly valid issues,
why would we need to be worried about joining enmasse to picket, carry banners, march against government, etc etc etc.
Is Fred (not only crazy twisted sick but) braver than most? within his rights? more organized? more certain of his beliefs? more willing to take actions?
Is Fred our last extreme example?
Seems DHS isnt bothering him, or FBI or anyone else for that matter, and his message is openly KILL.
Is FRED extreme on one end, and a minority in numbers
and
Is the rest of the nation silently timid and tolerant and a majority in numbers.

Other than this dude and his clan are wacked, there's something to be learned here.

Fred and the WBC need their own forum here at ATS.

No I do not subscribe to his lunacy or any of his Church's followings (brainwashing), but they are always up to something ridiculous. I just think the amount of material they cover warrants it's very own board. A mod can put Fred's little head next to the link

If we're lucky he will show up and create an account and tell us all that God Hates us!

They fund themselves through jobs, you can't deny anyone based on religion that is segregation. I understand people don't these people but we can't break the constitution to suit the needs of other people.

god is good, but everyone is god in my opinion. not santa clause, jesus, allah, bigfoot, etc.. god is the spirit of a man....aww screw no use talking about this as it's meaningless although the proof is still out there, like a buddhist monk setting himself on fire in protest of vietnam and not screaming. Another example i like to use is the hindu priest that are able to practically control their heartbeat. The man that lies on a bed of nails. The list goes on and on. All this says to me the bible is possibly distorted history just like every religous text. The spirit is god. It's the most convincing evidence. Not a book written and altered by man.
