I've slept on this now and comeback to view the video again! and i have to admit you really do have to watch it in HD and many many times over to get the full effect of what this object actually does. I've tried watching it in lower resolutions and it could easily be played off as some of the other suggestions above. However I'm lucky enough to be able to view this in 720p and on a big screen at that, this really is where it starts to baffle me!

I also want to point out that this UFO shoots upwards when first seen, From bottom to top, NOT from the top of the screen down, like a meteor.

I too spotted this and thought it was on a flat trajectory, however the idea that it's moving upwards seems plausible to me as well. I think which ever way it's viewed it certainly rule's out it being a meteor etc for me.

This is absolutely consistent with the flight behaviors of seagulls.

I have my doubt's with this suggestion and did considered it before posting. Other videos that I've seen that have been debunked for this reason just don't seem to behave in the same way. The object seems to perform too sharp a drop and turn for me to consider this, also the luminosity isn't consistent with the reflection of feathers in my opinion. I feel for a seagull to perform this at the speed that it would need to in the video it would have been very close to the camera, which i reckon would of been picked out more clearly in the stills. On top of this if as it's suggested above that it's climbing vertically at 7.18 i feel it further throws this theory into doubt.

Regardless of whatever there going to try shove down our throats with this one, this is definitely some compelling footage. HD quality for the win!

The object does seam to come through the atmosphere in a straight line and then curve away into the distance.
If it was a meteor then why does'nt it come right down and hit the ground or burn up in view, instead of turning and shooting off into the distance?

I must admit I'm starting to think were not ever going to really know what this object is without specialist analysis. It really is a difficult one to debunk! I feel this may be one for the archives. My verdict for now despite the suggestions presented is still a UFO.

This to me is a great video of a UFO. It seems to have some kind of intelligence, because after looking at it in HD full screen closely many times and seeing exactly what it does, it's amazing.

When the video cuts to the bow of the boat at 7:27, a pair of quite fast birds can be seen, they're either similar to swifts catching insects just above the water. They're seen in the middle of the right hand side. Could it be a similar agile bird that you guys are investigating.

Ummm "try shove down our throats"
You DO realize its a documentary about Russia and the cameraman didn't even pay attention to it? So how are they "trying to shove it down our throats"?

great find! a similar thing happened the other night on a live TV show in the UK called star gazing, a meteor shot by on the outdoor cam.

anyway... if you slow it down, it looks like a plane coming in from the distance, banking sharply then descending to land. the object looks speeded up to me, I think there's some video editing going on with the scene. The reason I say this is because if you skip back a bit before the ufo appears, a bird flies from the small dwelling at the waterside at the bottom left of the shot. The bird appears speeded up IMO. Is it possible the whole scene has been speeded up and due to the subject matter, it still looks natural?

it's also possible that some post processing effects have been added to gloss up the scene a bit, which may have affected the object too, making it more shiny....

very interested to see what others make of it.

I've acquired another copy of this documentary now which is actually better quality than the you tube 720p. The object is still there in this copy and can be seen slightly earlier than the you tube version, also the distortion of the cloud's has become much more visable. I'll examine this futher and respnd to previous post's tommorrow when i get a chance to look into this more.

Excellent stuff.

If the camera had been panning or tracking the boat, it could've been suspected of a reflection arcing across the lens, but the camera is still. It doesn't look to me like a bird and looks more like a light. The trajectory arc doesn't rule out a meteor in my opinion.

Here's a quick gif to show the camera stays still. It isn't great quality. If someone hasn't uploaded a better gif, I'll add a better one later today.

So far it's unidentified and hopefully someone will ID it later on? If not, it's a good catch.

Can you please point me in the direction of the video? I want to see the UFO go below the clouds.

It's available on Amazon and torrent sites. I especially wouldn't endorse Isohunt in this incident.

I understand you think it may be a meteor...possibly. It seems you didnt see it actually start from the bottom moving upwards. If you did see that, please explain why that is not of importance to you. Basically I would like to know your thoughts on the bottom moving vertically upwards...if you seen it.

You're right, I can only see its descent and nothing before it. I've watched it at full res without success. That doesn't mean I disbelieve you or anyone, I just can't see it.

Do you have VLC Player? It's the best media player for Windows and has a 'snapshot' feature that saves a PNG to your hard-drive. If you can, will you upload a couple of images that show the ascent? The question applies to anyone else who could help add more information to a promising thread.

A lot of newer members are having hassle with the ATS Media. If there's a problem, u2u me and we'll see about working something out.

Just adding another bit on the bird angle. Listened to where they were and it's Lake Ladoga, so searched a bit and found this :

Lake Ladoga - north-east of St Petersburg and Ilmen south of Novgorod also have a rich birdlife. In spring and autumn hundreds of thousands of migrating divers, wildfowl, shorebirds and skuas fly over Lake Ladoga to and from their breeding grounds in Siberia.

Here's a Skua :

And from wikipedia on the same bird :

On average, a skua is about 56 cm (22 in) and 121 cm (48 in) across the wings. They have longish bills with a hooked tip, and webbed feet with sharp claws. They look like large dark gulls, but have a fleshy cere above the upper mandible. The skuas are strong, acrobatic fliers.

It's *definitely not* a meteor zorgon.

The reason being, is that the object doesn't originate *from* above as it first appears to..it can be seen coming *up* from below, on a vertical trajectory before executing a *very* tight roll manoeuvre, to appear at the topmost point on the screen, rolls right and descends in an arc, and accelerates away to the left at tremendous speed, so fast that it appears to actually disappear in an instant towards the end.

Not a comet.

Whatever this craft is, and i'm tending to think man made here (although perhaps not...), it has to be either pilot less, or else black projects have perfected anti gravity...the G's this thing must be pulling would kill any human pilot...the materials used to actually build the thing must be super advanced and strong, certainly not Aluminium and rivets.

Best to view this in VLC media player...(unless you have a more advanced prog) zoom into the craft (because it definitely is a craft), and slow the speed down to 0.12x playback...you'll see the craft rise up and loop over before swooping down and out of shot.

I'll paste in a clip i've made...if you zoom right in with VLC, a little *below* where the craft first looks like it appears at the top of the screen, and slow the playback *right* down, you'll see it reflecting the sunlight a few times as it rises up.

Give me a moment and i'll edit the clip in..

I hate to say it but the clip lost the part showing where it is visually asending. I dont know if you just didnt go back far enough or upon editing it lost its clarity. Viewing from the actual youtube page in HD did not make it better this time

Yeah, i know...looked fine on zoom, slowed right down to 0.12 (or even lower).

Shame VLC doesn't record the zoomed in view.

I've captured some stills of this thing on it's ascent, not great quality - but you can just see the object.
I've added arrow to help find where it is...then when you know where to look, go back and watch the clip again - zoom box over the arrowed area - slow playback to 0.12, or even better 0.06...you'll find it once you know where to look.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/93f151e177b7.png[/atsimg]

Going up.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/db8e6211d8e7.png[/atsimg]

Still going up.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/346cadb2a1b1.png[/atsimg]

Just beginning to exit it's tight loop.

The arrow are a little off away from the object, so as to not confuse or obscure the object, which is very faint in these grabs.

Edit to add; Without being able to zoom in using your fav phot viewer, you're not really going to have the 'Oh Yeah..!' vibe going on..i'd say grab images from here and have a look on zoom using what you like.
