Anybody know why she's on the humans side? Is it because of her feelings for Tyler, or because her mother physically hurt her at the end of season 1?

My guess is that her "going in heat" stage is making her more susceptible to the human emotions that come with wearing the human skin. That, and he youth, are likely the contributors. Personally, I think the V's could have simply been open about their breeding efforts (not their true reptilian natures) and would have succeeded far sooner.

I know, right? Just put a bunch of the V's in skin resembling models, and the humans would be all over them. "We come in peace... and to sleep with your women."

Sometimes i wonder what ATS would be like in the V universe. Would we be all over it? Would ATS members come on here from the 5th column? What about V defectors spilling the beans?

I'm sure sites like this would be integral in spreading any thoughts as to their true motives/natures, if such a thing actually happened. Of course, someone like Anna would also likely have the means to shut the mainstream ones down...but they'd still exist in some form.

The power of the internet is certainly evident given the recent events in the Middle East. Many credit the online access to other ideas and cultures for the dissent that finally caused so many to rise up in Egypt, Libya, etc.

True, true. Those revolutions started as an Internet thing, organized over social networks and didn't stop even when the Internet was shut down. It certainly looks like Libya might be overrun by the weekend, how bloody the takeover is, that's another matter.

Anyway, what'd you think of last night's episode? Glad Lisa finally disobeyed her mother, i was waiting for that. And it sort of hinted to a possible romance between Erica & Hobbes, that could be kind of awkward, considering Hobbes' involvement in her husband's death.

Oh yeah, and what about the end where it zoomed in on Diana smiling as the screen faded to black? Think she might have an ulterior motive or is just happy to get revenge on her daughter?

In my opinion Diana would be the perfect Fifth Columner, but I am sure her only concern is regaining her queendom. I would hope she cares for her granddaughter but I dont think she does!!

I am liking the take on the world wide resitance. Unlike the old V, where we only heard about them, we actualy get to see who they are and how they are organized.. Nice spin from the origional in my opinion, and definitely opens up the storyline / arcs.

It seems like they are in a pattern of very action filled episodes, followed by shows with a lot of talking, like last night. It's like they pack so much action into an episode, that they need a follow-up episode to catch back up.

Anyway, Queen D is becoming my favorite character very quickly. I thought she was very slick.

I am kind of confused on the whole super dna thing, and the plot in general, but I still love this show. The ending scene with Erica and Hobbes was something.

Yeah...who knew she was so stacked? (or just a really good bra)...

As for the DNA thing...I recall that they have some kind of issue with reproduction, and need to find a compatible DNA species to mate with...and that Earthlings are the last hope (possible planet they can get to...within the time needed). So, the DNA matrix is find and create a fusion of both Visitor and human DNA so they can procreate successfully.

Not sure why all the cloak and dagger though... You'd think they could get DNA samples from the healing centers alone. (and since most of the V's are attractive like Lisa...you'd think there'd be no shortage of willing DNA "donors", hehe...)

Weird with the virus though...first, should take a day or so to incubate...second, wouldn't the V's screen for such things (any deficiencies?) before adding the DNA to the matrix anyhow?

I was confused on the virus thing too. It seemed the 5th c. spent half the episode working on it, but the episode began with the bloddy eyes and vomit, um what was that all about? Very confusing episode for me plot wise.

The bleeding eyes bit was more of the attempt of the V's to prepare humans for mating without using the DNA matrix...kind of like what they did with Erica's son Tyler... The DNA matrix is an alternate, better solution (according to the doc)....

Some fun trivia information for all. The origional V, as well as V: The Final Battle - The House Donovans mother lived in, Elanor Dupree, is the exact same house that was used in the movie Can't Harldy Wait. Below are some pictures and shooting locations, which can be found at the 2 links below this.

V - Origional Movie - Shooting locations
V: The Final Battle - Shooting locations

Some have "then" and "now" shots. The "now" shots were actually taken in 2004 - Credit for those shots are in the 2 links above.

Other trivia:

Robin Maxwell is played by Blair Tefkin, however she was not the origional actress. The origional actress was Dominique Dunne. She can be seen in the photo below, and it is the only shot that uses her instead of Blair Tefkin. Dominique Dunne was rehearsing her lines with David Packer (Daniel Bernstein) at her home.

When David Packer left, she went outside and was confronted by her ex-boyfriend, John Thomas Sweeney, with whom she broke up a few weeks prior. When she would not take him back , he strangeled her to death in the driveway.

No problem.. However you should thank Google, as well as the guy who put the website together. All I did was look for stuff on V and came across those sites. I always wonder where movies are shot at.. Has a tendancy to draw you a bit farther into the storyline if you can actually see / visit the area. Makes it feel a bit real lol.

If youll excuse me now, Im gonna go get my late dinner and settle in for the show.

Wow.. wasnt expecting that at all.. Looks like next week is the start of all the fun. I am trying to figure out if they are going to kill Anna off and bring Dianna on as full time queen..

Anyone know if the show has been renewed for another season?

NVM.. Found eh possible answer -

Season 3 of V up in the Air

V producers aren’t letting modest ratings hold them back: The upcoming second season finale is going to finish with a major cliffhanger, sources say.

The story decision is crucial as it suggests the producers either have some degree of confidence that the series will land a third season … or some measure of all-in bluster.

“To cliff-hang or not to cliff-hang?” is the angst-ridden serialized TV show writer’s existential question every season. If you don’t provide resolution, you risk a hugely unsatisfying ending should the network kill your show. Yet if you write an ending that wraps up key storylines, you could lose fan interest and storytelling momentum — which makes things tougher if the show does return for another season.

Remember Jericho? Producers famously muscled CBS into renewing the show by ending the first season on a spectacular cliffhanger that rallied fan support. (Thousands of pounds of nuts were involved).

ABC has a new president for the show side of things, and is not "vested" in V as the prvisou person was according to the article. They are doing the cliff hanger in hopes of drumming up support of fans to get ABC to renew for a 3rd season.

Hopefully it works.

(SPOILERS) if you aren't caught up...

Finally got to see this week's episode.
Lots of things going on, busy episode!

The resistance learns of the plan for landing ships (and that the backup ships are already here!)
Diana plans to dethrone Anna
Tyler chooses mom, but then gets blissed by Anna
Joshua remembers and is 5th column once more
The resistance learns more about blue energy
Marcus is back, learns about Diana, and is starting to see the emotions develop in Anna
The fed and the merc cool it down a bit, focusing on the war
The traitor V rejoins the resistance

A lot to process. The big question is what is Diana's agenda? On one hand, she wants to oust Anna, but she still has her people's interest at heart. Perhaps she's looking for a more peaceful integration, breeding program?

The one thing that still bothers me...on one hand, they treat the original V as if it happened (i.e. Diana talks about the past failure), yet treat it also as if it never happened (the humans would know the true nature of the threat, etc. if so, and employ the same defense..the red dust). Unless they somehow come out with a mass memory wipe or something....
