Thus you have the continued attempts to STEAL the wealth of those who have earned it in order to give to those who don't earn it. I make well above average wage, and support Socialism. I'm happy to pay high taxes. That's what community is about. Those in favoured positions helping out those less fortunate. Government invest in health, public transport, education. Atleast, they're meant to. Instead they spend it on wars and subsidising bankers.

If you earn a ridiculous amount of money you should be taxed a higher amount. If you don't like it, well, you've got enough money to feck off. Nobody is holding you hostage! Up and leave. Go live in Bahrain.

It's nothing short of absolute greed. People with the most money complaining that they're hard done by. Boohoo. You know where the door is.

Firstly, Thanks for the replies to my initial thread.....

I do find this an interesting subject because it does reveal what people believe wealth to be and also what a society should be.....

Like several of the posters, I agree that I am happy to pay taxation but I do feel that it is squandered, wasted and un accounted for on far too many occasions...... I am however becoming a little 'annoyed' with the salaries of some, whom in my opinion do NOT deserve the rewards they get.......

I am thinking here of supposed stars of celebrity or sports and of course the banking and big business world.

I mean ( i don't follow football) but Tevez from Man City earns, Tax free £280k per week ???? Johnathon Ross and his infamous TV deal with the BBC a few years ago (£18 million over 3 years), even little public appearances from 'stars'?? cost £000's.

Then all the big CEO's and other layers of management over the past few years have increased their remuneration's HUGELY when compared to the average of the employees even in their own companies...

I am not a socialist, communist and I do not dislike hard workers who do well, (many entrepreneurs RISK their own money to start and grow) BUT i am becoming a little ANGRY with some of the Absurd salaries of some...

I liked the idea of a maximum salary for big bosses and all of 20 times the lowest salary in the same organistion..........

I agree totally with you but the entire money game is rigged in the favour of the rich. One of the worst examples what nobody ever mentions is the royalty laws. When you get any "young woman" off the street electronically enhance their voices and WHAMMO within 6 months there're millionaires and years after dragging on the royalties. Now I happen to be a time served carpenter. 5 years as a low paid apprentice. Imagine any sucessful pop star or film star and I come along and say fit a front door for them. Get paid for the job but then say to them you have to pay me every time some-one uses the door. Not only that but have a huge organisation to ensure by law you have to pay me. I would soon be a multi- millionare. But that would'nt happen would it. I know quite a few self made millionaires and in every case they've made their millions by screwing their workers.

You make a good point actually, although I guess that the 'artists' you talk about would be claiming ''intellectual property rights' on their tunes even though they most likely didn't write the music themselves.

In actual fact , the more you look at how wealth is structured, then it becomes apparent that it is just one Great Big pyramid scheme or MLM system...

I was reading a Blog by the BBC Business editor Robert Peston, concerning Bankers and their latest bonuses... It is very interesting because what is becoming more apparent is that the 4 big UK banks have just juggled more debt on their books and now class that as good business and are expecting to ''reward'' their BEST ?? whizkid bankers....!! for fecks sake I am getting really sick of this Expectation because it is always the way it has been......

I am REALLY in favour of a salary structure along the lines of this..............

The top earner, CEO or other can ONLY earn a maximum of 20 Times the lowest full time salary of that company or organisation !!!!
If a company is doing well and there is cash flowing then why not pay some to shareholders and then the rest to investment or Philanthropy for good causes and help to improve the society we all live in.......

This should apply to Blue Chip companies, Corporations, Football clubs and their ' stars', music companies and their artists etc etc

Just wondering. What happens when Big Corporate starts a roofing/flipping/general renevations business subsidiary? Do they hire/con 30-40 mexican serfs/rent-a-slaves.Pay them 1/3 they would pay you. Move to a different area. Wash rense repeat.

Socialism is public(not private) ownership of the means of production.
