Listen carefully. You asked the questions, and many smart people have answered. So far the only inaccuracies have taken place in your posts. Everyone can agree that the holocaust was one of humanities' worst moments in history. That being said you should also be able to understand the simple fact that just becasue we know the correct answers to your questions does NOT make us Nazi sympathizers or glorifiers.

You asked, we answered. Don't try to crucify the ones having a civilized discussion with you about a topic that you brought up. What ever anger you have about the holocaust is understandable but it's not directed the right way.

Instead of shooting potential assets in the head, The USA as well as the Soviets decided it was more beneficial to give a handful of Nazis a pass as long as they played ball in our court. We get technology, they get their lives. This is the game that is war. To the victor goes the spoils, as Slayer has already pointed out.

Not really a secret, hasn't been for a while. It was called operatuion paperclip. You can even look it up on wikipedia. The russians also got their share of nazi scientists. Too bad this technology was used for war and not peace.

If you're content with us bringing back the same people who were involved in hunting down and murdering Jews and all the rest (Gestapo and SS), then I don't know who you wouldn't be content with bringing back and employing. Hell, Hitler himself could have taught us a few things, too bad he shot himself huh?

So are you defending bringing back Nazis because you take pity on the Gestapo and SS and think they were really a decent lot after all, or because you "love" the USA too much to ever criticize your leaders' actions?

When the US is the next nation being put on trial for war crimes (as we already deserve to be), maybe it can afford us the break we'll need to really stop and have a long think about the impact on the integrity of this nation and its defense and intelligence sectors, when we bring back enemy mass murderers and propagandists for enemy mass murderers and give them jobs doing what they do best.



And before you say it, the article never specifies which Gestapo or SS veterans were brought back or what crimes they may have committed in Germany, so you can't say it was just the "nice" ones who never hurt anyone. You just have to have faith in your government if you think none of them murdered any Jews or etc. while over there. Faith in the same government, coincidentally, that held the fact that they had recruited SS and Gestapo at all for decades already. Either way you're really backing a winner, and really showing your character by it.
