Please don't talk like these sites were down for days, I have personally verified pp and ebay at work today they never stopped working for me so no one really knows how bad the small businesses were affected. Anyways, I did not want to argue about that, I agree with you on that point. I only get pissed when I see people defending the banks and big corporations like they are victims.

Revolution is communist garbage speech. Communism & Socialism are evil because they enslave the people under it. You're so happy about redistributing wealth, how about YOU be the first to join in! Along with those rich commies and socialist scum that live rich while their people live in poverty.

But this IS a way to protest, just as a sit-up blocking traffic on a street. It accomplishes nothing and bother some grumpy people, but that's all, it's not criminal.

This should not be illegal. This is a form of protest. Like a boycott with a picket line.

It is criminal. I suggest you read the laws. Blocking traffic is also illegal and will get you arrested.

Nope, because protesting in front of a store doesn't block the customer's from traveling to the store and going inside and getting what they want. No one has the right to do any thing like that.

Oh, I forgot we might not be from the same country, here is legal to protest peacefully. Except when the police peacefully charges, of course.

In fact, DDoSing is legal here, too.

I can protest peacefully. This is not a protest. It's behavior that accomplishes absolutely nothing. There's a right way to protest ( I.E : boycott ) and this is not it.

You have yet to answer my question: How would 8 hours of disrupted paypal service take food off of small business owners' tables? It denies them revenue, but how is 8 hours' worth of revenue going to make that difference?

it is obvious that you and all the little fan boys and girls have no clue what it means to have others depend on you or run your own business. 8 Hours of revenues could mean weeks or even months worth of food depending on how much revenue is expected. Many small businesses have folded in this economy while others are struggling to survive. 8 hours could be a severe blow and may even be the final nail. For my self my business is a year old and cannot support us yet so I do handyman and odd jobs to try and stay alive, so missing 8 hours of business is a sever blow.

But people like you who have no clue, many supported by thier parents smugly sit back and tell us to just suck it up and make the sacrifice. Remember that when your living under a bridge when it all collapses.

So if we are to make the sacrifice how about spreading out the pain and you donate to us and make some sacrifice yourself so we can dump paypal and afford all the fees for an inferior service? Any takers?

Didn't think so, sacrifice is good as long as your not the one who has to make it.... Mhmmm... And some numbskull called me a hypocrite earlier in the thread

This has to be the MOST ridiculous post in this entire thread. Any talk of stopping the net or giving limited access is uttter rubbish. Try it out and within months, we will only go back to the stone age.

Think again and stop the fear mongering over what EVERY human should do on their own free will and stand on, if not for themselves, it will be for their loved ones and future generations to come.

First, it is a crime in some countries to visit certain websites. Look them up yourself. I don't have time to play with you anymore. I am working for a living. Cambodia tried to go back to the stone age in the 1970's by putting children like you in charge. This resulted in genocide with over 1.5 million deaths.

Congress is already debating the OpenID. If that passes, and it will, what are you going to do? You won't be able to log in anonymously anywhere anymore. Whatever you say will be attributed directly to you. You can't champion your causes without giving away your identity. I don't think you have the courage to do that. That is why websites like ATS and the others have so many members and posters. It is done without recriminination. Once that is gone, so will your courage be gone. Goodbye armchair warriors. Have the courage to post your identity and see how long you last on the internet before the guys in the black suits or white coats come and pay you a visit.

I personally think you are upset that you can't send your allowance to Wiki anymore without your mother finding out.

If they were blocking traffic, that is against the law. If someone is going too slow, that is also against the law. I like Wikileaks & Mr. Assange. If you want to protest, then boycott whom ever has treated him unfairly.

My wealth doesn't exist, the government seen to that.

As for your 'rich commies' rant, why don't you add the capitalists to your list (or will that paint your country in a bad light? gawd forbid!)

Well, it accomplishes the same that boycott, it raises social awareness. Plus, a boycott really well done could get a corporation in serious financial trouble. What if they have to close or fire people? Wouldn't that hurt innocent people more than a stupid blockade that didn't even affect money transfer? Are your morals upside down or are you on a state of blatant trolling?

What's wrong with real Capitalism? It's great and I love it! If you don't work, you don't have a right to ask for any thing. You should be glad & grateful for what you do have, just as I am. I am thankful for all that i have because I know I don't deserve it. I don't go around trying to get expensive things that I can't pay for.

I'm not trolling at all. Interrupting any business from operating as normal is wrong and could have you arrested. Keep playing with fire, you'll be burned. Grow up, obey the laws or face the consequences.

You know, there are people who are grownups and accept civil desobedience as a legitimate method. Why there is people who thinks that growing up entails never making a bit of noise?

Where did I mention I wasn't grateful for what I've got? That doesn't stop me being p***ed off by people constantly shoving crap that I don't want or need under my nose. It doesn't stop me caring about what other people are forced to do without to feed the greed of the few.
