Well one of the ad's wouldn't let me click recent posts... So that's where my idea came from, More into helping the advertisers than searching for the truth....

If you have problems with ads ALL you have to do is U2U admin and let them know. They want to know these things. If you click on "forums" and scroll down to the very bottom all mods and admin online are highlighted. Just U2U one when you had ad issues, no need to make a thread complaining and accusing the owners of something you don't really know anything about.

And at least I'm not some CIA psy-op fkn with all of you!!!

No it wasn’t, it was rather a waist of time.

ATS uses the money to keep the site and their servers running. Furthermore, they are not approached by companies to host advertising, they use services like Google AdSense. Finally, when you have contributed enough to get the Bronze level the ads disappear.

What have you written that was censored that has you all in a fit?

I'm on ATS for one and half year almost daily and I saw say 5 deleted threads. That threads dealt with ATS background mainly. So from my personal experience there are taboos here.

That is correct. What do you think "user provided content" is all about? The entire point of ATS is to ensure that ATS pops up on the first page of any relevant google search, hopefully as #1. More hits means more revenue. It's that simple. The only thing that is "free" on ATS is the user provided content. You spend your time, which, as you said, is money, posting, and you do it for free. You provide the free content.

Now, about so-called censorship. Prove it. The stuff I happen to know about that has been trashed, precious little in my view, deserved it. Given that we are being asked to belieive the Illuminati are going to feed us to their reptilian gods, that people are actually angry when they discover they have to make payments on their loans, that the Moon is inhabited with three trillion people, etc., there is plenty of trash out in the open for you to peruse with no need to see the worst of it.

In my opinion, unless you've been lurking for years or used another name, you don't have more than a few days here and have no idea what is going on yet. You have no right to be here. Basically you are known and develop a reputation based on the quality of your posts. So far you've not shown that you have much to offer.

My guess is that the ads that appear on this website are part of an "ad network". I worked in online marketing sales for a while. Ad networks work a little something like this (dumbed down):

A company wants to advertise on the internet. They contact an ad network and submit their art work (or sometimes the ad network will had an art service) and demographics. So the company says I need Men 25-54. Or I need Men 18-34, no controversial sites, sometime followed by an example list. Or People 18-54, with an interest in technology. It's a form of targeted marketing, not a conspiracy. An advertiser could ask not to be on this site, but I seriously doubt that this site would censor subjects when receiving ads from an ad network. Just wouldn't make since.

As for the ad that blocked you from clicking on recent post, it's called a roll-over ad. If your mouse comes anywhere near it, it expands. I've done it myself today and it is very annoying, but again not a conspiracy.

Well I guess what I was referring to was the TOS of ad companies and what talk is deemed + content and what was - content...

the - being removed, which creates censorship due to your ad revenue.

I agree with the OP, but don't be surprised if your thread is shut down, especially after what pitiful discussion has followed.

There are a lot of freemasons on the moderating staff who love moderating threads about freemasonry, too.
