What I want to know is the size of the supposed frog. Is the frog the size of a normal frog or closer in size to that of a human being? Could it be that the woman actually gave birth to a human child that underwent some sort of mutation to make it appear frog like?

Tehran, June 27, IRNA -- An Iranian woman gave birth to a frog in a bizarre labor in the southeastern city of Iranshahr Saturday.
Gynecologist Varasteh, who confirmed the report said the woman whose period had stopped for six months underwent a sonography in May which showed she had a cyst in her abdomen, wrote the Farsi-language daily E'temad in its Sunday's edition.

Following severe bleeding, the woman who has not been named gave birth to a live gray frog accompanied with mud.

And some specialists blame genetic disorders, saying the so-called frog has similarities with the human's fetus.

What I want to know is was Ra�l, leader of the Raelian Movement, anywhere near this woman. We haven't heard from that group in a while

Unfortunately, it was also reported on US news today. I think MSNBC this morning

Gave birth to frog...with mud. Uh-huh. Sounds like to me that Iran obviously needs to shut down the secret naked mud-wrassling' program until they get that frog problem under control.

Turns out the BBC must have hired some ex-enquirer reporters as this article debunks the whole story.......

EVEN A FROG WILL KICK THE BBC

On June 27, 2004, the BBC reported on an Iranian woman who gave birth to a frog. Their story originated from the Farsi paper Etemaad.

The BBC published a photo of a frog with the caption "Tests are being carried out on the frog."

This photo has since been replaced with a map of Iran due to our complaint.

The pairing of this photo and caption implies that the frog in the photo is the Iranian woman's "frog child." It also implied that tests are being carried out on this very frog. However, we discovered that the frog in the photo is not even native to Iran.
