I must ask this if I can. Have you ever driven a large commercial vehicle at anytime? There is not six police cars that will escort an oversized load. Two or three is usually the most used. Also if they were not going to a site that was closed to where they were seen they would not be on surface streets driving through town. Over sized loads are usually not allowed to run surface streets as the weight that they are carrying plus their own weight is too much for surface streets to handle. You try to take the straightest route possible so you don't have to make alot of turns.I can say this because I have delivered large construction equipment myself and you need permits that will tell you what way you can go and it is rarely on surface streets in town. The trucking company will supply their own lead and chase cars or trucks which will stop them from needing a bunch of police escorts. The police are only there to block off traffic so that the trucks have no cross traffic that could cause a problem.

1: You can clearly see an over-sized truck in the video.

2: The video camera man claimed there were FOUR oversized trucks.

3: If there were FOUR trucks, you better bet there was SIX police cars because it would definitely take that many to block traffic.

4: These were not small tiny streets. These were busy main streets that normally do have semi-trucks on them. Over-size doesn't always mean over-weight. It's just means long, or wide, not always heavy.

5: There are factories near that area, and construction near that area. If they need to get large pieces of equipment to a location, that is the only way to do it. There is no other way....period.

Your entire post is not well thought out at all... Yes I have driven a semi before. I have a class-B licence actually.

Not all sightings show up on radar. There are many reports from pilots that see things that the radar operators do not see so we can't always expect everything to show up on radar.

I cannot believe that anyone can take the convoy video seriously, much less believe what the youtube poster claims about it.

Yes I agree with you if he cannot show proof, which in my opinion would be that infamous second tape then I smell a be lie if not just another bored city boy with nothing better to do other than follow a slow moving, 35 to 50 mph, police "chase". But in all reality all I see is a escorted convoy.

No don't get me wrong I can get that all the way. I can see a UFO or even a military aircraft not show up on radar. If we have the tech to do it then I am sure that an alien race would as well. All I am saying is that it is just too far fetched to say that we don't have or can't get any official word of what was going on. In theory we should be able to get so sort of "answer" from the officials whether a lie or the truth.

That is interesting but before you pat yourself on the back for having a class b license, I guess you should know that I know a little about truck driving because with a Class A CDL license you get to know a little about truck driving and what goes along with permits and oversized loads. So as you can read I do know what I am talking about. Also even with four large oversized loaded tractor trailers you still do not need six police cars as an escort. I have been around many OTR truck drivers and also many that drive exclusively oversized loads and I can tell you that they try to stay as far away from in town driving as there are too many things that could be trouble. So lastly how many oversized loads do you see driving around on surface streets in town. Also do you know for sure that these trucks were all oversized load trucks? So you may want to do a little homework before you start telling others they don't know what they are talking about.

You are right about that, but I think we have a better chance of being eaten by JAWS before we ever get the truth about what is happening. That is what is so sad about the government and how they run things, because IMHO I think the majority of the people now a days would be able to handle the truth. I guess we may never know at least in our lifetimes.

I don't get your point? There is obviously a large oversize truck in the video being followed by an oversize escort truck with police vehicles blocking traffic so they can pass... The video camera guy even said they were hauling large pieces of steel.

What the heck are you arguing about?

Yes, it's not very often you see large loads on streets, but it does happen. It is the only way to get large pieces of steel to construction sites.

What is your point?

^^ He has a point... the video is pretty obvious .. I think the debate is rather absurd at this point though honestly, can we just move on? who has what qualifications / license doesn't really matter .. the load is obviously oversized and there was obviously an escort.. I've seen this kind of thing before when entire HOUSES are being moved .. I don't see anything particularly interesting in the convoy video .. I think debating it at this point is useless and serving only to muddy up the thread..

I have to agree with you on a lot of what you are saying. I have a very good friend who is a truck driver and I have to say that you are right in that they hate dealing with surface streets unless they absolutely have to use them. Now from what I understand is that they were on the move to the freeway system. But we also must find out their departure point. I mean if you look at a map of the area you can see that there are two military installations in the direct vicinity of the footage. This could have been just a transportation job. Since we have no clue where the load or the object went to after the camera went black. But since the main footage end so abruptly and with the narrator saying that there will be more to come, we may not know. Unless he comes forward with the sequel very soon.

I am currently taking helicopter pilot training courses. I have loved helicopters and all aircraft since I was born. I know everything about every helicopter ever made.... It's funny..

yes there is if you listen carefully to the sounds above the ground vehicle escort.
If i my hearing is correct, i would guess it is a Chinook or group of Chinooks flying above the escort.

Sorry, but I just put on my professional quality ear phones and listened to this video:
www.youtube.com...

I don't hear ANY helicopters. Yes, the witness do say there is a helicopter, but I definitely don't hear one. So I think you are lying about hearing one, and being able to tell it is a chinook, or group of chinooks. And I know what a group of chinooks sound like...

Even if you did hear one... how can you tell it is military? You can't... so.... thanks for trying, but you failed.

Yes, what about them? The convoy has zero relation to the 10/10 sighting. ZERO.

Yeah, I can't believe it either. Is it that easy now? If there is a UFO sighting in my area, all I have to do is go outside the next day and follow some police cars with their lights on and claim they are chasing UFOs?
Really, the video shows absolutely nothing out of the ordinary and people are all over it...

In the video you clearly see an oversize truck hauling a large object (supposedly steel).... and people think it has something to do with a UFO the day before? What is going on with people these days?

I agree with you....

The convoy video is just ridiculous.

With that said... take a look at this video of the original event, they actually zoom in and get a very clear shot of the lights while it passes over them. You get a good idea of the size and speed in this video.

It passes over the guy just about the speed a slow RC plane would fly, and the camera guy even waits for it to do a "second pass" so it can get another look, so it is just circling the area like an RC plane. It seems to me to be a fairly small craft. The camera guy even claims to see it's tail wing. He says, "its got a tail". At one point I swear I can see an outline.

If you watch the video, I can clearly tell it's just an RC plane with an LED strip on the leading edge of the main wing.

It seems to just be cruising around like a normal RC plane.

This sighting is rubbish.

For comparison purposes, I have a iphone 4 and filmed from 18 ft away a couple of led lights one a led lantern and another a Surefire E2L outdoorsman, which is a pretty bright flashlight. Obviously the things in the video were much much farther than 18 ft away from the camera so keep that in mind. From what I experienced the iPhone didnt want to keep autofocus on where i touched it focused properly on the lantern for a split second then went out of focus making the light source appear larger and rounder than it actually was.

Oh crap I messed up the brighter light both times is always the Surefire, its on the left at first then right later.

This is the type of lights he's got on his RC plane:

www.okhobby.com...

Compare that to the "ufo":

Looks like completely identical brightness and color.

I like the comments about the lights from the person that owns the example plane;

The best setup I have ever had for night flying.

1) the layout looks like a plane so
it is very simple to maintain orientation, even at a long distance.

2) The brushed ESC that allows you to set the brightness level.

Very good for night flying, and you can see it from far away.

The most recent appearance was on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

Did you hear the helicopter sound on those videos.... is the one who is pulling this art piece around.
So, no UFO here, move along...

I have been thinking that the entire time. This footage can almost proves my theory that it is in fact an R/C. I had deduced that the LEDs were on the leading edge of the wing and that was the cause of the flickering light. I also figured by the shape of the wing that it was an R/C since I have been doing a lot of shopping in the R/C Airplane world and have seen the wing many times. It would take some time but I am sure that I could find the exact R/C and then Photoshop it so people could see it does look the same.

I have seen the video twice and third times now if it was a R/C Plane why didn't it make any noise while in the skies?
all R/C Planes that i tried and have seen even at night make sounds and sometimes some loud.

www.youtube.com...
www.youtube.com...

This why i am doubting it as R/C plane.
