I am so glad that I live in 'socialist' europe.
I know that if I ever lose my job, I don't have to resort to bartering or poker playing to have a roof above my head and food on my plate.

I agree! My friend and I have been talking about this where we live. I live in Florida, retirement central and the elderly love their Publix on the weekends here but everyone I have ever talked to would love it if they had delivery services. My friend and I are actually thinking about getting a license and starting a small local business within our area. I am tired of not being able to find a job, it's getting depressing! This is something that would be no problem and it would be helping those who need it. I don't mind, I like the elderly, they always have good stories
Here is my idea:
Boiled peanuts! Those are really popular here. I know of one place where they sell them on the side of the road and that guy is always slammed with business..on the side of the road! He is always in the same place too.
I made boiled peanuts a few weeks ago. It was one bag about 1lb I think of raw in the shell peanuts. I got them at Publix for about one dollar and fifty cents. I made 4 crockpots worth of boiled peanuts. I made cajun and regular! They cook for 3 days straight but they were soooo good!
