Congress's approval rating means exactly SQUAT in this debate.

But once again, you have proved that you are an enemy of the Constitution. I show you exactly where in the Constitution it says that Congress has authority over the Militias, and you want to circumvent that Constitutional authority using approval ratings as an excuse.

No, I am a DEFENDER of the TWO rules of Law.

Declaration of Independence.
united States Constitution.

You can ATTEMPT to label those that defend the TWO documents our country was founded on, but I will give my life to those that defend it, and to those that do not understand their meaning.

Once, a person said that they would back the federal government if they attempted to starve out the people of a state that wanted to dissolve the association. I would even defend this person with my life. Even though this person does not understand the rights of the individual. This person does not understand that the freedom of the individual MUST supersede the rights of the collective.

BUT, I myself would still defend the RIGHT of that individual to have his own beliefs.

I WONDER IF THIS PERSON WOULD DEFEND MY BELIEFS?

edit to add-

This is why I attempted to disprove THOSE IDIOTS in the Tea Party that attempted to shutdown the mosque.

Yes, freedom of speech is fine, but to attack a religion is WRONG.

So, I will even defend the Muslims wuk, will you defend ME?

I showed you exactly where in the United States Constitution the part that states that Congress has authority over the Militias, and you immediately wanted to circumvent the constitution based on the approval rating of this congress.

How can you possibly say you are a defender of these documents when you want to take away powers of congress rightfully theirs to begin with?

The Constitution is not ala carte, it's all or nothing. But I am afraid you don't see it that way.

And no, I will not defend an enemy of the Constitution.

Sorry, it's the facts, if you are in a militia, Congress has authority over your group according to the Constitution. If your militia is against that concept, your group is nothing more than a street gang.

Article I Section 8 United States Constitution

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

OK I'll play,

If the "Elected Congress" is in violation of the united states Constitution, what is the recourse of the Electorate?

Congress does have the power to expel members, right now, Charles Rangel is under investigation for Ethics Violations.

He may be expelled from his seat for this. (probably should be too).

Some states have the option within their individual state constitutions to recall a representative or senator.

But if you are just personally fed up with how the United States is run, and think that the only option is revolution, you forgot about just leaving the United States. That's another option available to you.

The ONLY reason I brought up the approval rating of congress, was because the last time I was that despised at work, I had to buy the people that worked for me as slaves!

Alright folks, we are at a crossroads.

Freedom, or slavery.

Now, according to a bunch of people in history, slavery was not that bad. According to them, slavery, if you were a slave to a certain family could be a comfortable living.

I mean REALLY, what is so bad about slavery, the government has told us they would take care of us!

We know you are a proponent of slavery, we have seen your threads about replacing the 13th Amendment. But this discussion isn't about your wish to return to a slave nation.

This discussion is about a bill that died in committee, a bill, that will most likely never see the light of day again.

Even if for some god known reason it manages to find it's way out of the boneyard that is the committee, and gets passed, and signed by the POTUS, after a lawsuit, it would more than likely be overturned by the SCOTUS.

But please, leave your slave trading fantasies in your other threads.

Yes of course this thread or law has NOTHING to do with the collective that OBAMA and RAHM had envisioned.

They only talked about that CRAP because they were bored, RIGHT?

Oh well, I will defend you to say anything you want, I just hope you have the same honor.

It doesn't matter what Obama or that snake Rahm want.

Wishing for rainbows to fly out of their buts doesn't make it so. And wishing that a gun control bill make it out of committee won't make it so either.

I will say this again-

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

What is funny wuk, if anyone EVER said that, they would be elected everytime.

What do you think about the economy? Guns shall not be infringed.

What do you think about the war? Guns shall not be infringed.

People have to understand the psychology of the populace, they have attempted to persuade, but that only increased the attitude.

It is a group think attitude, that I actually appreciate. It is something about the human animal that shows we are able to see beyond the initial problems.

I am not really sure why you have assumed that I was for this bill. But of course when you assume you only make an ass out of you and me.

I am not for this bill, but what I am arguing is the fact that this bill died in committee last year. Have been from the start.

The OP paraded this charade out for everyone to make a baseless fear mongering thread. And the usual suspects fapping to a picture of Thomas Jefferson did their usual chest thumping.

Anyway, life is based upon a thing known as work.

One thing presented early in life was realized, if you did NOT value family, you died.

As historical record proved, the more you destroyed FAMILY, the less chance a society had to survive.

Institute societies of indiscriminate sex with no responsibility.

Institute an idea that you are NOT responsible for your own life.

Institute an idea that you deserve something because you exist.

Institute a system that keeps you on a welfare system. If you ATTEMPT to improve yourself, you are dropped from the system.

Sorry wuk. I have been examining THIS system for years.

Welfare, socialism destroys are ability to have a CHOICE!

Now you aren't even on the same topic. I think that you probably need to sleep whatever off.

The subject here is a failed bill that died in committee last year. Do you understand what we are talking about? The point of this thread?

Yes, an evil piece of crap known as Charlie Rangle used the US government to STEAL and to be a THIEF.

Now, because he was a thief, others were able to use BRIBERY to make him vote certain ways.

Have you seen the outcome of the Health Care Bill?
Have you seen the outcome of the Financial Reform Bill?

I am sure that the companies and banks that corrupted him, used ol Charlie to the MAXIMUM effectiveness. I am sure we have new laws that STEAL from us daily, RIGHT?

No, that's not the subject of this thread. This thread, is about H.R. 2159, a bill that went to committee last year, and no one will ever see again. This thread, is pointless fear mongering by the OP and has no basis in reality.

What you are thinking of is: H.R. 5741: Mandatory 2 year Service to Federal Government which is another thread about another bill entirely. These bills aren't related.

Well, it no longer matters in my eyes.

We have people in the Congress that want something from us.

Exactly, I do not know, I guess we shall see.

Why are you even commenting in this thread? So your happily living under the boot in your lovely little utopia. You've been neutered, pure and simple. When the time rolls around for you to take a stand in defense of family and right, you'll be at the forefront.......of the burial detail. So you and your countrymen are going to rely on whom, when the time comes, your overseers? Your already a slave, so be a good lad and don't bother to have an opinion, opinions can be detrimental and subversive.
Next, you'll be wanting to have a say in your own destiny, chart your own course and that's fine, as long as it falls within the appropriate and approved program. So atsaboy, run along back to your pigionhole and leave all your worry's to your betters, they've got things under..............control.

this a scary thing to be happening, but i would think its going to be a lot more of a struggle than they think to get the guns off of Americans..at least i hope..

but really this is like the upteenth thread coming out of America issues that all say 'we can not let this pass'!!
sadly you will let it pass because no ones going to do *all about it, i would like to think that the gun issue would be the last straw, i just dont think it will be..
its kind of like the 'we will not allow this healthcare bill to pass' threads
or ' we will not let them take our freedoms inch by inch everyday' kind of threads..
same end result. nothings done. nothing changes and the 'theys' spoke of just keep on weakening the people of America..
A good thread though OP really, its a scary thought, having grown up there in the US i cant imagine there being no guns..and thats the only down side in leaving the country was not being able to bring my rifles with me lol
