Im new here and would just like to know if there is anyone that can assist me with setting up my avatar?

Could you give me links to sites with avatars on aswell.

Well as for setting up an avatar click on "tutorials" at the top you will see that it helps with alot of computer stuff.

If you can't find an avatar you like, have a look on kinglizards thread. He has some great ones for anyone who wants them. There's other people who have threads with them, too, if you look on bts.

To Upload an Avatar

Go to the main ATS page. Click “MemberCenter U2U”.



On the left side of the screen you will see “Upload”, click it.



Then “Browse” your computer for the image.



Then copy the renamed file location and paste it in your profile.

sorry, i feel so stupid, did the image shack thing..got my avatar, then tried to paste it in the settings field because there was no download field to do and no browse mode..all down.Any help appreciated..again i feel so stupid

Give me a sec and ill see if i can get some members to help you out here on this post.

I dont think ATS allows you to use BMP flies, try to save it as a JPEG, or GIF

if your using something like MS paint you might need to find another program that would allwo you to re-format.

The section to add an avatar is in the Account Settings in your Member Center

I may aswell use this topic rather then start a new one. I copied those instruction you have given out but my avatar comes up as the box with the red cross in the middle.
Do I need to host it on imageshack or something first or should I be able to use pics straight out of my own folders without hosting

You need to host the pictures on some kind of photohosting site. Photobucket is a good one, and it's free. Or ImageShack, thats a good one too.
