There are only twenty skimmers off the coast of Florida in the ceanup effort. There are 2000 skimmer ships available in the U.S. and the government hasn't asked for the help of these ships ??

Twety one countries offering assistance have all been turned down by U.S. government ... www.state.gov...

There seems to be an interest by our government to let the ecological and economic damage to happen as the situation is slowly getting out of hand...

It seems like its more to the situation and why even waste money on help that cannot even see the true issue below. If it was something being covered up then it would be smart to throw a few ships here and there to look like the are being productive while unknown to the public a major eruption may be about to occure with the "bubble" of methane or with the gulf potentially opening up and just letting it all go. If all those skimmers were there they wouldnt escape and it would cause human harm...
my 2 cents

Who is accountable for this? Who's in charge. I've so lost track.

As I recall, FEMA isn't there and the governors are calling some of the shots? The National Guard is deployed in places but at whose behest? Private "Security" is employed by BP. Who from a federal level? Aside from the man in charge of the $20B?

Maybe the illusion thing is true and the government just wants to kill off the population down there ...

Have you seen what the other countries are asking for in return for their aid? This disastor is going to cost the US a mint as it is, we don't need to owe anymore countries billions of dollars for helping us clean this crap up.

It will never be cleaned. Forget about it.
The elite is moving to Mars.

Just how much are the 5 southern-most states worth to you??

Just how much do you think it'll cost over the next 20 or so years in aid payments to the people who live in these states that can't get jobs because the waters aren't cleaned up??

My view is that we should spend what it takes to get these states back in business. No?

Ever wonder why President Obama has yet to declare a ' State of Emergency' yet ?? We have the largest oil disaster ever in the history of the U.S. and no decleration by Obama.

They are fired from the cleanup if they wear their own masks and stuff. They are only to use the equipment provided, and word was a while back there was not enough.

Unfreakingbelievable.

"And the federal government who wants to take over every other aspect of our life can't get this one thing right that they should be doing right." ~Senator LeMieux

That's a tell. Something is pretty wrong. Unless they do know they can stop it at anytime.

What a selfish post.. this needs to be cleaned up no matter what it costs.. I say seize BP assets to pay for it! Do you just let a house burn because it costs to put it out?

They don't intend to clean it. Don't you understand?

I have to agree. We are not too good to ask for help at this point. Sure it's going to cost a ton, but at this point it is truly necessary.

Is there really anything we can do at this point? I don't see too many options that are left.

The truism here is the old saying "Always follow the money."

Recall 9/11 and the extraordinary airline stock sales in the week prior.

And now, in the weeks prior to the spill BP's CEO sells off 220,00 shares
OF HIS OWN COMPANY and Goldman-Sachs sells 250 million of
BP's stock.

This spill is another cog in the wheel of the PTB's plan to bankrupt
America, and Americans. This little disaster of theirs will be very effective
at further depressing an already poor economy all over the deep south,
and at the same time put a damper on whatever domestic interference
they can expect from the "Good-Old-Boy-Gun-Totin'-Patriots."

Of course this part of their plan may back-fire--There is a thin line between
depressing your opponent to the point of despair and rallying him to
the point of action.....a really thin line.....

It's not just that. This part of land will be uninhabitable very soon.

For some reason they need more carbon, and easy to exploit.

New technologies... Think about it.

There are a couple of possibilities :

1) There will be an eruption in the gulf and it would obliterate all the help; or

2) They want this disaster to happen.

Either way, doom follows.
