Funny how Iran doesn't give a damn about the Palestinians unless they see a chance to go after Israel.

Funnier still is how it seems no one really does. Give a damn about the Palestinians, that is. I haven't seen an update on this story. But again, looking at the map, and with a rumored gulf full of ships...

This stuff goes way back to when I was young, and it’s nothing new. Heck, I think it was Jordan who once allowed the Palestinians to come live in their country. Gave them a bunch of land, got them moved in, and then promptly threw them back out again. See, without the Palestinian issue, the hardliners over there don't have a propaganda tool, or excuse to be trying to remove Israel from ownership of both Jerusalem and the Dome of the Rock Mosque.

That Mosque is really the focal point of all their problems. During certain times of the year a non-Muslim is not allowed on their Holy Land or Holy Sites, the idea that a non-Muslim country is holding one of their top Holy Sites is unthinkable in their minds. Besides that, they fear that hardliner Jews will destroy the Mosque and attempt to rebuild the Temple Mount in its location. That is the crux of the entire situation in a nutshell between Palestine, Israel, and the other Arab nations.

Lets put it like this…Once, an entire war started there simply over a rumor that there were some Orthodox Jews digging tunnels under the Dome of the Rock to try and excavate Jewish Temple relics, and in the process undermine the foundations of the Dome of the Rock.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Yes...the mosque. That piece of land that all three religions want. Might not be the worst thing in the world if a sinkhole opened up and poof! Problems over.

No wait...they'd all probably nuke the world out of existence blaming the others. Seriously though...how important can a piece of land really be? Is it worth all this grief and turmoil? All the suffering and death?

Iran will probobly fill a boat with idiots from the west. Then send them to test Israels resovle. The when Israel takes action they'll scream bloody murder "EVIL JEWS".

Gotta love the passive/agressive games they play. It's like a bunch of 12 year olds playing the finger in the face game. Stop touching me......I'm not touching you....But your finger is in my face. You know the whole BS thing.

But it works people in general are idiots and fall for that kind of stuff.

I don't think a "neutral warship" can just sail into Israeli waters.

Israel and Iran both do some egging on but this is more of a shove. Iran is truly pressing the line with this move.

For Israel, this blockade is a defensive military operation. A "blockade-busting ship" is truing to bust a military operation.

I think international waters is the keyword, certainly not Israeli waters. A friendly warship escort is perfectly correct. BTW, The UN consensus is, I repeat once again, that the blockade is unsustainable, that makes it illegal in international law. A blockade busting ship carrying the correct papers, (even if the blockade is legal) and that has a friendly neutral warship escort should not be intercepted. This blockade has been declared illegal, before and since the Israeli attack on the flotilla, that makes things even worse. Either Israel is part of the UN or it is not, and for too long they have, used or ignored their role in the UN as it suits. It would be nice also that some people would understand the Iran is not an Arab country, they are Persians and they have no particular friends in the Arab world, but that is relatively recent history going back just a few millennia. There is much evidence that Arabs, Persians and Jews are common to one another if you go back even further. It probally makes the unsettled land of Palestine an entitlement to all these groups, but that also means none of them are entitled to land grab.

Iranian aid flotilla cancelled, won't sail to Gaza

Well, looking at the maps and the recent news and troop movement, didn't think they would. Now watch everyone fall into the propaganda trap (on either side they choose to pick).

You might find the continuing discussion on the situation surrounding Iran in this topic interesting.

Thanks.
