We can bet on debates soon over whether the drilling 'caused' the volcano, or if the spill was just used to cover it up....

jumping to conclusions

That object between the claws, is a guide entry sub for guide wires. Its a sub that a wire is connected to so that the ROV can place it on a template or other equipment that is on the sea bed. The guide wires makes it easier to guide equipment down form the rig to equipment stationed at sea bed. It looks like the guide wire is cut in this sub.

Looks like something red bubbling up... on rov 2 I think...

It's just above the silver colored pipe in the middle.

I've been watching over an hour now. I swear some of the cracks are opening up wider. But it could just be my eyes from watching for so long. I don't know how to do a screenshot, for comparison.

On another note, BOA Deep C - Rov 1 has been cruising along the seafloor pretty quickly, and it keeps going through what appear to be plumes of oil coming up from the seabed. Bad.

That was the ROVs propeller creating that debris.

Not sure what to make of what i'm seeing at the moment, but that red 'stuff' definately wasn't in that location 10 minutes ago. See the screenshot posted earlier in the thread.

I 'm not convinced it's lava. I've done a quick google search and this looks nothing like an underwater emergence of lava.

During your search, did you come across many volcanoes at ~5000ft depth?

Pressure and ambient temperatures can make a big difference...

This is a parking spot for the ROV. There is nothing happening at this place.

I bet the ROV pilot is on ATS right now. Probably the OP

Yep, also seems to me as if a red spot is forming at 10 o'clock in that little crack just above where the rover hand is resting on the sea floor.
