Ok - so I see your point.

However, claiming that humans have the ability to do something like what you're suggesting does not hold any substance in the claim that aliens do not exist or do not visit the planet.

It simply says that humans could be doing things too.

I drive a car. It doesn't mean my neighbor doesn't exist.

Saying that humans have the ability to do things that could be explained as Alien, doesn't mean that both aren't occurring.

Humans developing these technologies in no way disproves that aliens are here on this planet.

Even if all of the "known alien races" are products of humans, it does not prove that extraterrestrials don't exist, nor does it prove that they have not been here, or are they not here now.

This is a realy good documentry. This old lady has a few miles of film with UFO's. It is 1 of those cases that has expert baffled. A very good eye opening watch indeed. Let me know what you think after you have watched it.
