As more and more people in the U.S. find themselves struggling just to survive, they suddenly find themselves "giving a hoot", and the hard questions they never bothered to ask begin to get asked. Some will declare themselves victims and look for others to blame, and a few...a very few, will understand that the mess they are in is their own fault, and that this responsibility goes well beyond their own actions.

When we tacitly approve of tyranny our silence and inaction often times creates such a mess that our only hope, once we begin to accept responsibility for this lack of inaction, is to accept responsibility beyond ourselves and act in the name of a greater good. Most will continue to go along to get along, but those few...those heroic few, will stand and fight, and they will fight for freedom. Those who go along to get along will mostly ignore these heroes, and those aware of them will accept what the media and organizers say about them, and a few will be inspired and decide to stand by these heroes when the establishment decides it is time to crush them. Afterward, statues will be built, and people will hold candlelight vigils for the brave few who died in the cause of freedom, and then return to their daily bread of life. It is the cycle of life, but in between these cycles, there are victories.

Not to worry thier bubble is about to be popped big time and that is when all hell will break loose because all the people who liked thier bubble and didn't want to know just how bad things are will be woefully unprepared and many will die.

I could be wrong but it seems that a majority of posters in this thread are young and still living with their parents. Wait 20 years, when you've got a spouse, 3 1/2 screaming kids, a 40-hour a week job that actually claims more than 60 hours a week of your time, 2 car payments, an expensive mortgage, medical bills, credit card bills, utility bills that keep climbing every month, etc. After the stresses of everyday life, most people want to be able to relax, unwind, maybe socialize, and not be burdened with even more stress worrying about the stuff discussed on ATS.

If someone is interested, they will seek out the information themselves. If someone brings it up in a conversation, tell them your views. But don't think that everyone wants to hear about it because they don't. If you're like that, your no different than someone coming up to you to talk about the gospel.

You can make all the excuses you want for why people would tacitly agree with tyranny. Acquiescence is the same as approval, and legally will be construed as such. You can smugly dismiss those who cry freedom as being young and dumb, and even qualify your smug dismissal with "I could be wrong", and in my case you most certainly are, but your brand of religion is still a religion, and you took the time, at the end of the day, to preach it here, which makes you just another preacher. But, at the end of the day, just what is it you are preaching?

Nothing will change unless we all go on a strike and stop working

and this is just what the working class should do, for at least one day. The working class holds all the power, and TPTB would be at our mercy, for without us, they have nothing. Sadly, we are not united enough to ever pull this off. Very sad indeed.
