For anyone wondering, how bad this is, take a look at what mainstream media
is now saying!

This from Olberman's Countdown. Personally I can't stand the guy, and I could care less about anything he says, it is the scientist that you should find most interesting.

"Has the oil spill created a ‘doomsday effect’ for the Gulf"?

James Fox said that he would be posting things on his facebook. Does anyone have the link for that?

The video link I posted directly above you is confirming what James Fox and AC
Griffith are saying. It is now being reported in MSM!!

That should tell us something!

is there or is there not a media blackout?
What I find strange is that there is not one life cam in the area functioning, not on the beach or even downtown cams. They are either taken offline or replaced wih the BP cams.

Aren't some of the beach and port cams private? Can they force people to take them offline?
I mean, if there is really going on what they say in the interview then a life cam would give at least some clues (helicopters, strange vehicles and no cameras....)

Hope I'm wrong and just looked in the wrong places, so please if anyone finds a cam that is up and running let me know.

Interesting perspective, see even msnbc is giving time to people to interview. That was a pretty good video clip good find. So where is media blackout and arrests? O.P. It's now been 24hrs since post and I have yet to see any concrete proof that these claims are true? I agree B.P. is not being fully up front with the info they know but it seems to me someone jumped the gun on these claims. I'm not trying to bash just want answers.

no it doesn't say "yes!!!!" it shows a conversation between two people I have never heard about and one person who claims to be from the area saying it is all true. (and everyone else yay-nay saying)
That's not much to go on.

BUT,
yes, it's strange that the media isn't reporting more and showing more pictures. It's strange that the life cams are offline.
The oil spill probably is much worse then they want us to believe, it always is worse...

Let's say it's all true, then why aren't we reading much more about this on the net.... if it was true then people would be protesting by now, spilling their guts on the Internet, etc.... there must be one rebel in the area that isn't taking the crap! you would think...

Its time to NUke ths SoB and be rid of it.

A hell of alot less drilling than releif wells and a sure method. What, at this point, is the harm? Most, if not all, marine life in the area is dead or dying.

THis is so pitiful. People won't do their own research. And believe every piece of crap someone spews. THere is no media blackout. Sorry for not posting every single picture of the spill let me try.

Media blackout. Ok. There are coast guardies, BP employees, workers from companies hiring from the unemployment offices, volunteers, green groups helping with the cleanup. No civvies being arrested, no cameras confiscated. Go look for their self. THey are reopening certain areas in Grand isle now. Deny Ignorance. Do some research.

Someone please prove that there have been any innocent civillians arrested. Call the Grande Isle PD and they'll tell you what's going on. Look at the beach cams, someone said they are all BP feeds. Obviously a lie. Someone said there are no good overhead shots of the oil spill, friggin NASA has posted their infared and there are a slew of shots showing the spill in its entirety. Dead bird and dead fish pics everywhere. Unmaintained booms. Oil washing up on the beach and infiltrating the marshlands. It's all there for you to see. MSM might not be showing everything, IDK because I don't pay much attention to the mainstream media outlets. But if NASA and NOAA are posting the terrible images that they are I don't see this being hush hush at all.

As far as BP commanding Coast GUard troops and national guardsmen, that isn't the case. If you think people are being arrested for photographing the cleanup efforts then go see for yourself.

But here's the claims.

Media Blackout- Lie #1, any info or pic you want is available

Gulf Cams overidden by BP feeds-Lie #2-looked at em today, hell even weatherbug has theirs up

Innocent Civvies being arrested and having cameras confiscated-Lie #3-No validation on this and no proof, only arrests have been people swimming in closed off areas. People have been asked to leave who were in tainted water and inhibiting cleanup.

No actual cleanup occurring-Lie #4-Seen it myself, photos everywhere.

Lie #5- BP in command of coast guard. Not according to the Incendent Commander Admiral ALlen. He's in control and if he says jump BP has to say how high?

THis is a terrible tragedy for all of us who live in the region. And down here at least the news is treating it as such. I'm looking at fox news online now with their oil spill coverage just so i can have a MSM take on it. www.foxnews.com...

Wow Fox is saying environmental damage for decades. Sure sounds like a coverup. Wow overhead shots too.

Now I pulled up ABC and it's almost an afterthought.

Look there was a 9 month long oil spill in the gulf 20 years or so ago. This is a tragedy for the people here. Local economies will be devestated. Most of these fisherman don't accurately reprort their income, so by being tax cheats they aren't going to get properly reimbursed from BP. And most will be at poverty level. We'll suffer damage to our wetlands and our wildlife. But nature will recover eventually.

But this thread isn't about how horrible the spill is. I know how bad it is 1st hand. This thread is about a supposed media blackout and innocent civillians being arrested and having cameras confiscated. None of which is true.

James Fox offers no proof. No evidence. Nothing not even any taped interviews. Just heresay... Nobody else is corroborating it. He also said people weren't allowed out in fishing boats, actually they are you just can't fished in the closed waters. Obviously for your safety. He says they are doing all of this to hide the size of the oill spill. Why allow all of NASA's and the sattelite photos then? He thinks there is going to be martial law because people are wearing badges identifying them so they can enter tainted areas. Martial law because poeple looked at him funny.

No hotels within 2 hours. Grand Isle is in the middle of nowhere. Houma is another area hard hit within 2 hours of grande isle travel.travelocity.com...

Hotels everywhere.

Grand Isle is not on lockdown. Drive up today. The beach is open you just can't go in the water. Lol he hasn't seen the coast. I've been to the coast since then. The guy is trying to make a spike lee katrina movie.

Show one shred of evidence or validate anything he says. You can't it isn't possible. A good friend of mine owns @ngelos restauant in Grand Isle. They are open. ANother good friend owns Captain La$$y's seafood in Belle Chase. They are being allowed to fish in non tainted waters and are up and running. They are out and about in it far more than I and they listened to this idiots interview as well. No basis in fact.

And shame on ya'll for promoting unvalidated allegations and promoting this ridiculous fearmongering.

Get on Yahoo. Look up some businesses down there and give em a call. See how they are doing. Just stop with all the BS.

Inside job.... opinions requested as I did not mark last night's links...

First a video for you---

www.youtube.com...

BP's profits were down 46%

Halliburton did the cementing job around the pipe (pardon my terminology if that is incorrect about where the cementing was done...)

Halliburton buys Boots & Coots clean-up company for $247 million, 8 days before the explosion.

Is Dick Cheney always involved in every cover-up?

This is true guys, my brother lives out there. I just came back from visiting him. There are guys from bp and some people that look like from a military. We were walking and denied access. When I took my camera phone to start taking pictures an official came to me. He did not arrest me or take my camera but her told me to delete the images immediately and threatened me. We were both just walked and the pictures I was trying to take were on public streets.

This is BS Fock bp, we need to do something about this. We need to rally up and get a group of thousands with nothing but cameras, maybe phones with live feeds so the world can see.

Butt I wonder if I a critic since I still pump my gas at Arco since its cheaper. Makes me think.

Now I will say this. Which I know for a fact. BP in not allowing people in its employment to take pictues of oil covered wildlife, dead or otherwise. THey are also not allowing people in their employment any interaction with the media. Both are terminable offenses. All employees and subs had to sign nondisclosure and confidentiality aggreements as well.

Which sucks for the general public. But I can't say I blame them. If it was my company I wouldn't want my employees doing damage to my company nor would i want them wasting time taking pics when they need to clean up oil.

I have also verified that there is a no fly zone below 3k ft above the spill. If you look at the FAA this is pretty standard in disaster response. But you can still get a really good view.

The last scenario I read on this was that several shape charged nukes would have to be used simultaneously and that there would be a real threat of a fracture of the Madrid Fault. If you read up on the Madrid Fault you'll find this to be a very serious task.

Oh yeah, since he does UFO videos (and we all know THOSE don't exist!
]He must be a crackpot just making stuff up or believing what anyone without a graduate degree, who just walks up to him on the street, might tell him.

thanks for being the bastion of reason for us, Johnny. We might not have made it if it weren't for you!

I have my doubts that I'll be able to debunk these bull chunks. Because I live here. No one, I repeat so I can be sure there's no mistake. The whole thing from beginning to end was made up outta thin air ok. He thinks this will promote his film. And I will have you know that Fox, abc, nbc, and countless other reporters from everywhere, Are right here, NO PROBLEM. I can't believe he would blatantly lie about this supposed arrests claim. I was like "DO WHAT"!? because the friggin police, will actually point people where the photo's and footage would be the best. Escorting them! He says it's creepy, hush hush blah blah paranoid. Believe me there will not be any silence for years from us. It's like a friggin convention/state fair around here. The only arrests made is when a few actually got into a bloody fist fight. Last time I checked assault and battery are indeed jailable under the LAW. I mean how hard would it be to just contact the local officials here. Because it's bogus, BOGUS PEOPLE! Media blackout my buttocks. I am pretty livid about this because, look how much people are reacting. everywhere on this ninny's words, He got people in a frenzy over a ridiculous lie. This is ridiculous.
