knuckle dragger is a slang term used for a snowboarder because they drag their knuckles while they crouch when they ride, do your research before jumping to conclusions

Since these people are snowboarders I really don't see what your problem is. Quite why they have to use slang in the advert I don't know, but racist it is not.

There was a car commercial in canada i complained about and got them to change it.


They had a book shelf made out a live tree, so much disrespect. I expressed my anger and how it was wrong to have dead tree's hanging on a live tree, thats like having my dad carry my sister mom and i when were dead.

they changed it

Erm ... what do you consider 'racist'about that comment ... it bears no reference to ethnicity in any way ... but it might be interesting to see how 'YOUR' mind is wired-up to consider that racist in the fiirst place do tell

The term 'knuckle-draggers'refers to someone with neaderthal tendancy's ... someone with no social finesse ... and that can apply to anyone whatever their gender ... colour ... or creed ... so 'racist' ?

I never thought of that phrase as racist in any way. Insulting, yes, but in a humorous way. In my parts it means a chimp-like mentality, stupid, not-so-bright, etc. Learning that this is somehow "racist" is news to me.

Congrats. I wish I could sit around all day watching commercials and complaining about them until someone did something about it. I am from Canada and believe me, I've never heard someone use the term "knuckle dragger" as a racial slur. I also never knew it was a term for snowboarding.

I know it to be a term like someone has posted, meaning caveman and is used for guys who get into fights a lot in hockey or bars, or are just plain meat heads, but not as something to disrespect an African-American
