Spirit Jetliner Grounded in Fort Lauderdale After Bomb Threat
FORT LAUDERDALE -- A jetliner bound for Atlantic City is back on the ground in Fort Lauderdale this afternoon after the Spirit Airlines received a bomb threat.
Jim Reynolds is the spokesman for Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. He says the 126 passengers and five crew members were taken off Flight 262 and no injuries were reported.
Amtrak Train Searched After Report Of Passengers Acting Suspiciously
An Amtrak train on its way to Washington was stopped and searched Sunday in western Maryland after U.S. military personnel on board reported suspicious activity by two men, officials said.
Barry Maddox, an FBI spokesman, said the agency had found no cause for alarm. No charges were filed against the men, who weren't identified by name or nationality, Maddox said.
