"How are you going to make a battery powered train?"

You may want to take a trip into the 21st Century some time and realize that high speed Maglev trains which do not rely on petroleum have already been developed and are operational in Europe and Japan.

inventors.about.com...

"Drill in national parks, animal sanctuaries, all federal lands, peoples backyards. Wherever in the US and our territories there is a significant amount of oil we should be drilling for it."

You're right - we haven't even begun to devastate the entire planet yet - why stop now? Sacrificing the planet for future generations is a small price to pay so selfish pigs can experience the comfort and ego trip of driving their gas guzzling Hummers to the corner store.

That is ridiculous. We have enough oil that if we drilled for it we would never have to buy another drop from anyone. The world would be buying from us.

Yeah try loading one of those maglev trains full of heavy cargo and see how that works out. It is easy to build something to carry a bunch of tiny japanese people. Not sure how the Germans lift all of their women though. I guess they are engineering geniuses after all.

You have used the majority of it up on your SUV's and giant casino's in the desert. And the world hates you for it too

Meanwhile, the rest of the world is burning about 60 million barrels of oil per day, or roughly 75% of the oil produced. But yeah, its all our fault.

There's no doubt we use too much. But for you to sit there on your high horse and try to pin it all on us is a joke.

Seems to me that we use so much because we are so much further advanced than the rest of the world. India and China dream of the day that they can afford to consume like we do.

Here you go

You're right - Americans have become lazy quitters - too lazy to even do a one minute search on the web.

LOL, that was PesWiki baby... that is like citing Jules Verne for technology that exists. Next thing you will tell me is you guys are hiding your antigravity train from us.

That is why America is far advanced in technology. We know where to look for reputable science instead of science fiction. Maybe you all should put down the Avatar movie and start working to build a better world.

Wait a minute!

That is a very skewed argument, because your country of only 300 million people are using 25% of the oil produced

while the combined total of all other countries with 6.5 billion people are using the rest 75% of the oil produced.

Are you frikking serious!

So you mean it's the rest of the world's fault when your country of measly 300 million people are using a quarter of the Earth's combined resources?

We are all as a collective responsible for it, yes. I'm not deluded to that. It's just Americans like this ass-clown op, even though I know he's just out to rifle some feathers and nothing more, really sow the seeds for my hatred against your nation.

Now I'm not saying I hate Americans (Just your whooping yeah baby cowboy energy guzzling maggots).

The world is headed for a sh#t storm collapse as a whole, but at least I'll know people with the OP's mentality will have been laid to rest. (Maybe shot dead and buried for fertilizer in someones vege-garden, or in the more unfortunate case an incinerated black outline on some concrete pavement)

No, it isn't a skewed argument. If the US were to magically disappear tomorrow, you guys would still be using 60 million barrels of oil PER DAY. You can make the per capita argument, but from a pollution perspective, it doesn't matter if its 6 billion people or 1 person burning it. It doesn't have any less effect on the planet's ecosystem.

I'm not saying its the rest of the world's fault. I'm saying that before you point fingers, maybe you need to realize that the problem is a hell of a lot bigger than just the mean, nasty ol' United States.

Oh now we get to the heart of the matter. The collective dream of the Socialists. Those darn Americans keep winning and its making us look bad, so lets tell everyone they are cheating.

The great collective. Do you know Communism doesnt work? It is a dream. Socialism and Communism just make people lazy enough that there government has more control. No thanks, I will stick with my freedom and a little hard work for my money. I dont need a nanny state to protect me from life.

We are going to Drill Baby Drill so we can continue to lead the world for the next several centuries.

Yeah, that may be! but you guys of measly300 millions are using A QUARTER of the Earth's combined resources.

Does that not bother you at all?

The only thing you are saying is - WELL! I don't care because the other 6.5 billions are using the rest!

Seriously! are you that arrogant?

Oh bloody hell. You act as if the rest of the world wouldnt use it if they could afford it. They dont avoid using oil products for the good of the world, they avoid it because they cannot afford it or there government limits it. You arent better than us. Just look at the Chinese. They got a little cash and now they are eating it up like candy.
