This shows this morning with the rapid rise in activity. Just before 6am is how She has looked all week.

This image is from a lava flow a few minutes ago from the new scar created this morning.

I can't see anything outside at the moment... Not sure of the time stamps on your posts? Is this something recent? As in over the last couple of hours? (21.25 here).

I'll go look again but whatever she's doing? She's being very sneaky and quiet about it. Too much cloud cover to see anything...

Be back in a bit - going to go look again.

Thank you for the videos Kat - off to look at them!

Tzavros So she started around 0600 you were saying? Wow. It was after 0900 that She really started up. So there is some warning then???

It's clear enough now to see, yes, there is lava flow - very little of it.
It's near to full moon and hot hot hot tomorrow = more action?
We'll see!

Until next time...

Still going at the moment. Sometimes there is a flare. Still on radio 7 but sometimes can be seen from Etna Webcam as well. It is from the new pointy bit .

I can't wait to get a better look at this tomorrow morning! I hope I can see it from here. I was sure 'something changed' in the rage going on today - your photo confirmed it! Thank you again.

Added note: I was also in hopes of getting the 'ATS Journalist' status so I could go to the top of Etna - but sadly I was informed the 'journalist' status was no longer available...and...I can't spend the 100 Euro it would cost me to go take a closer look! But I'll not stop trying!!!

Don't stop watching it though it might show something interesting. It can't focus once it gets dark so you are better on the still cams.

Once we can see without any smoke I think it might be interesting. We have been looking at different images from the cams and believe the lava is running from just behind the new point. Also waiting for the full report to come out, I can only read snatches of it at the moment.
All stats are back to how they were at the beginning of the week, which is not totally calm. Sometimes there are little tremors to be seen. I don't think She is ready for finishing this cycle of eruptions. We will just have to keep watching over the weeks I think.
Sleep well everyone

Update.
A large chunk of rock on the lower southeast flank was rotated and uplifted by some mechanism thus far unknown, forming a steep-sided "spine" about 20-30 m tall, with locally vertical and sub-vertical flanks. I have called this new feature, Poin-Teebit, very technical name.

She's been active over the last few days - putting out considerable steam/foggy/white 'stuff'... I've a pic from this morning but the uploading was 'broken' on ATS.

If She goes from all this - to nothing - and it then gets hot again (like it should be on Wednesday) - let's just say this time I'll make sure I've got batteries. Nothing might happen at all but I'll be prepared.

Let me go see if I can get that pic up now.

peace

Edit to Add

Nope - ATS uploading is still temporarily disabled.

Until Next Time...
