All the threads I am seeing lately our completely for the right view of america. I am tired of this because I see beyond the right left shroud that has destroyed our country. Are people being paid money to call for civil war or do they truely believe this is best for our country? Jesus, your doing exactly what the powers that be want...

Topics may be right leaning.

The conversation within them can be very different.

I'm quite the liberal and seem to think that the site is very much exactly that. A lot of people disagree with me on everything. That's what makes this place so beautiful.

I do disagree that Civil War is what the PTB want however. There's more of us then them, we will always have them in numbers if pushed to the brink.

Don't forget Pissed Off Americans built that country out of nothing.

I highly doubt they aren't capable of doing so again.

*snip*ATS never leans one way or another. There may be threads that seem a certain way but I see ATS as a nonpartisan community in which any view is acceptable as long as the facts can be presented with it.

This site is exactly the opposite, we are here as free thinkers, not tied to one side or the other, many here do lean one way or the other, but a site as a whole is pretty balanced

You don't buy into the whole "right left" crap, but want "Liberals" to make more threads to silence "Conservatives"?

I'm getting mixed signals..

Alright let me explain. the point of view from the right recently is insane... I believe in everyone being equal but why... why... must we be so stubborn. I have enough of this and yes I am a moderate liberal and do believe the powers that be want to divide us...

The creative writing exercise in the political madness is noticably far right wing, but who cares...people coming to ATS typically are very strong minded politically to begin with. The minority will always complain and type endless blogs on the net, meanwhile the majority will think they are being blind, dumb, or just trolling.

People generally dont change their mind about a party by some peoples views on the internet...sort of like the religion threads...you think there was a single person whom after reading a thread decided to drop or adopt a religion because someone complained against their viewpoints?

So...meh...its just creative writing..as far as ATS right wing threads, you will pretty much see anything glenn beck or limbaugh discussed earler in the day. I simply find it amusing..interesting social experiment on how talk radio truely can "program" someone.

No i don't think people would just drop their view points but after coming to ats since HCR was passed i have seen a lot of right wing nonsense being popular on this site... I wish we could just be united... it will never happen though

I agree that there is a sect that are influencing and attempting to incite violence among what should be peaceful demonstrations and positive country building.

These things don't really matter though. Just isolated incidents which although affect millions of people through the biased reporting of the media, are leaps and bounds behind what any sort of organized violent activity by a populace would be.

Its as sad as it is entertaining. Some people on this site are simply the sleepwalkers that will destroy the truth movement. Sad and dangerous.

The thing you must keep in mind is that this is a site focused on conspiracies, and along those lines there is a clear focus on the U.S. government.

The fact of the matter is that, currently, both parties have shown themselves to be quite corrupt; however, only one retains the White House (where the most focus is aimed) at any given time. During the Bush years there were mass complaints that the site was "lefty", and now that the shoe is on the other foot many people percieve the site as now leaning "right". The site is neither left, nor right, but the members are, in general, against government corruption, and both sides provide plenty of fodder to complain about.

While there are those here who do pledge their "undying allegiance" to one party or another, most merely focus on possible/actual corruption occurring; and, since only one party retains the highest office at a time, what may appear to "lean" one way or another often has nothing to do with partisan diatribe.

In short...

What may appear to be "anti"- Obama does not always equal "pro"-conservative. Likewise, "anti"-Bush doesn't always equal "pro"-liberal. They can both simply be anti-corruption.

Also, the fact that the Dems currently control both the Executive, and Legislative branches means that they are the providing a disproportionate amount of actions to be analyzed and critiqued.

Threads regarding american politics have become so tedious and full of silly bickering, I don't even find it entertaining anymore. If I don't find the issue important, I don't even bother to glimpse at it, hence whether it's from the left or the right, if it's not important, just ignore it.

To be fair? Two years ago, every single thread you see bashing obama and Democrats and the government would have been identical, word for word, except it would say "Bush" or "Republicans"

It's simply that a lot of people here like complaining about 1) the people they voted for (if they voted... dumb hippies) and 2) thinks they have little understanding of (i.e., the "tax is like mugging!" knuckleheads)

Sweeping generalizations make the whole world crazy. Would you stop echoing the MSM's mantra that the right is "inciting violence", please?

Yes, people are upset, they want their country back. Out of those millions of people, a few people get carried away and say boisterous B.S. about getting violent, and you S W E E P that into a generalization of the entire opposition.

Well, 2 can play at that game. So you're drinking and complaining about the lack of liberals on ATS. Using your logic, I'd say if Liberals weren't drunk all the time, maybe they'd be able make a post of substance.

Just because you are conservative does not mean you are calling for civil war. You are painting with a very large brush and I bet if it was used on you the tears would flow.

Check my posts I am conservative and I think revolution is nuts. We can still vote and we are still basically a free country.

Sometimes things are not what they seem take the progressives they say they are fighting for freedom when in reality they are against it. Hitler was a progressive and so was Stalin. And dont forget the father of modern China. Don't take anything at face value question everything including me. Find your own answers and dont be led like a sheep.

Violence is not the answer and I stand against it 100% and I am right wing. You dont need a gun to spread the truth.

I see many independents on this site. Some lean left, some lean right, and some are flat out anarchists. I think it is a breath of fresh air to have so many different ideas floating around on one forum. I myself (former republican) obviously lean to the right side but people like Saturnfx (I think thats right) balance me out so its cool. I think most of us have one common idea, we are tired of the two party rule that has infected this society and are waiting for Americans to start voting on ideas instead of parties. This is part of the 10% of the internet that isn't porn, it could make you go cross eyed though.
Whew, off to google video, up up and away!
