This has nothing to do with aliens. If you watch carefully, the girl at the end of the video is the same girl talking in the beginning, and meeting with Obama. She is just typing on the internet everything the narrator says.

This is a very good commercial for explaining the weird power of the internet. There are millions of doctors, scientists, professors, students, private research, everything all on the internet, and the internet is shaping our world.

The internet is like a giant mind. Our collective mind. Used correctly, we can change the world for the better.

Its not very well thought out the advert to be honest! To me it looks like another crappy series of something from the BBC...

Seems interesting though!

Just a commercial about the internet, ah, but such a beautiful one.
Very lovely, wistful thinking.

Isn't a commercial for making profit? Is this a marketing stunt from internet providers?

Something else...how can internet contribute to world peace?

I've only watched this commercial once, and that was just now, and I'll say that 20 seconds or so into it...

I had a fairly good idea it was an advert for "the internet".

It hit me right about when the "ghostly ET woman" talked about spreading information in the blink of an eye all over the world (paraphrasing, again I've only watched it once), as they we're showing doctors looking at X-rays and such; I was thinking hmm sounds like the internet.

Nothing Extra-terrestrial here. The commercial isn't even that clever.

More commericials like this saying the internet can stop wars, and the Government will shut down it down for sure. WAR IS THIER #1 tool for creating fear, controlling the masses, makeing money, and securing resources.

Take away the threat of war and all the ideas and emotions and profit and just EVERYTHING that goes with it, and many Governments goe from a scary entinty to a harmless little puppy.

I suppose the girl on the laptop at the end was the one in the white robe, acting all spirit like? Yes same person right? Is this commercial supposed to make me feel empowered because I have a computer that is connected to the internet????

Sorry it doesn't. BBC fails again.

Are you guys really that narrow? The commercial was getting in depth about the power of the internet.

Think about it. Never before have we ever been able to communicate openly to anyone across the globe. We don't even have to leave our homes. Basically, we have ditched our bodies, and travel (surf the web) as ghosts. We can meet in 3D virtual worlds on the internet. We can do virtual tours on the internet of any place. We can communicate with President Obama on the internet... we can talk to the smartest and the dumbest entities on the planet from a single place..

Every single thing in the human mind is on the internet.

The internet is changing the way the world has been.

Doctors use it to communicate, calculate, and cure diseases faster...

Scientists use it to communicate, simulate, research, and advance our knowledge of the universe, and could help solve the worlds most important issues.

Peace makers use it to spread the good word.

...everything the girl said in the video is basically happening in one way or another on the internet.

From the looks of it, many of you don't know anything about the internet. You only know the mainstream things, and porn.. so your view of the internet is narrow. Of course there is a lot of crap on the internet, but the good out weighs it all by a long shot.

Personally I like the commercial a lot. It gets you to see the internet in a different way....

All of us, right now, are that ghostly woman in the commercial.

Actually I found the video rather humbling and kind of cool. If it were only true...

I absolutely agree with Slayer69. It's a cool vid no matter what it's intent is. Maybe it's just meant to get people to stop and think about things for a second. Maybe there are alien implications, as there are images in the video that coincide with certain information I've seen available in books and on the Internet suggesting otherworldly entities, invisible to us, accompany us in life for the purposes of offering guidance. Some may think of them as guardian angels or spirit guides, but I've also seen it suggested they are alien beings.

Beyond that, I offer the following: we are already at war with those who are trying to control us. This war is being fought with a new weapon . . . the Internet. Even if you do nothing more than sit behind a computer and exchange information, you are helping. If you are sharing news and ideas with someone, you are bringing awareness to others.

Knowledge is power. TPTB don't want us to have knowledge for that reason.

On a side note:

I hope for our sake that Obama does have one of these entities imposing some kind of positive influence on him, as is suggested in the video advert. He could turn this whole thing around if he had the b*lls to abandon his self-serving agenda and stand up for America.

ALLisONE,

I didn't read your post before putting my own comments on the board. Very similar in some ways (except the alien part
).

Which is why it will be the first thing they'll shut down if things ever get real ugly. The Internet is the biggest threat to them at present.

Nope, the porn freaks draw from a separate "collective mind" bank, I believe.

I love your view of the internet but the main stream internet is basically full of "crap".

Wonderful forums like ATS are a rarity.

WHO?

If you keep thinking there is something/someone above you, then you will always be below "them". You are putting yourself and others under "them" every time you make a comment like that. "They" don't exist. There is nothing but a bunch of aging humans.

The internet is not something anyone can just shut down. It is technology that millions of people dedicate their entire lives to mastering. If someone tries to shut it down, someone will start another one in a small city, and it will grow. There is no monopoly...

Right now, NOTHING is stopping you from being a peace maker, and protesting on the internet.

Stop spreading words of false hopelessness, like you just did. Nobody is shutting anything down.

-edit-

changed "false hope" to "false hopelessness".

I believe your assessment of my post is a bit over the top. Let me clarify.

What I'm trying to say is that the Internet is a valuable tool for the masses and provides us with a fast, effective means through which to exchange information, even as events are occurring. I think many take this valuable resource for granted and I sometimes wonder how people would react if it was not at their disposal.

My point is, it's just as important to act locally to spread information via traditional means in the event that a someone with such clout decides the Internet poses a threat and stifles our ability to communicate on certain websites (I did not mean to imply the Internet would be literally shut down altogether). You don't think such manipulation of the Internet can happen. I think it can in extreme circumstances. That is not spreading fear and hopelessness, that's being realistic. This is not a bunch of numb skulls we're dealing with here. They own every other form of media, the Internet is not immune.

I agree, don't ever let anyone tell you that the internet can be controlled. It can't, it can be manipulated but never shut down completely because this is one thing that people will not tollerate.

I like the Ad and I look forward to viewing the 'Internet Season' on the beeb if it hasn't already been aired. I will look it up later.

People who are saying this is bs are not getting the message imo. It is very innocent and factual when you think about it, as time goes by we are influencing eachother and communicating with people we never have been able to in the past.

More and more people are getting online and the more that do, the moreopinions, beliefs and ideas are going to get communicated.

In the long term the internet is a kind of revolution, little by little people are getting to know eachother better on a MASSIVE scale.

So please stop hating, the message is very clear. The internet has transformed the world we live in. Nothing more, nothing less...

There you go again... talking about "them"...

WHO?

Point some fingers, be specific. Then tell me, WHO are they?

I'm quite sure your answer is going to be just some group of old aging humans that will never live as long as the internet. Nor will they live as long as the Earth and the future generations of humans.

OK, I have listened to this video numerous times. I am wondering, due to the wording if this MIGHT be desensitizing. Desensitizing is designed to help you form an opinion, in the favor of the one implementing the desensitization. I say this due to the WORDING in the ad. "WE" strange word for the INTERNET, MY PEOPLE HAVE DEVELOPED TECHNOLOGIES, again I do not think of the INTERNET as people, I think of the Internet as a way to bring people TOGETHER, not little people running around a vast file room looking it up for you. HELP THE HUMAN RACE SURVIVE IT"S INFANCY, did we not create the Internet? How can something we create do that statement?

It sounds more to me like, someone thinking on a higher plane, seeing the future, knowing everything going on everywhere, INTERVENING in Earth's direction, I just do not see the INTENET in that context. Maybe I am wrong. Based on this ad, I would not immediately say, OH, Hey, that is the INTERNET...unless they told me it was. I feel advertising is directed toward you coming to the conculsion of what you are hearing as a given not so obscure that you say. "Wow, that was the Internet?"

Again just me but I vote for desensitizing on this one. "Look, we are friendly, want to help you, WE COME IN PEACE...IGNORE THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN, yada yada yada....

Well, since it appears you possess the psychic ability of the Amazing Kreskin, I have to wonder why you even ask me such a question.

Nor will they live as long as the Earth and the future generations of humans.

The Amazing Kreskin has also given us a hint at how long humanity will exist (***applause from a crowd in awe****)

What is so funny? That you found an ATS member that doesn't subscribe to the fear of aging humans with wealth?

I asked you to be specific. I wanted to know who YOU think is above you, and who you fear and submit your soul to.

You failed to be specific. I want names... so tell me.. who are they?

Now you are mocking me because I already know that you fear a bunch of aging humans?

I asked you because I don't have the same fears as you, so I won't be pointing my fingers in the same place as you, nor do I know who you will be pointing at. I asked YOU to be specific... not ATS.

What comes around goes around... especially rudeness...

If you can't understand simple concepts such as old generations dying and new generations being born, then, I don't know what else to say to you.

Why are you mocking my beliefs (and hopes) that the Earth and future generations will exist 100+ more years from now (which is longer than the average life span)?

... oh wait, YOU are Amazing Kreskin now? I guess all your fears have given you the special ability to detect the end of the world right? So you think humanity doesn't have much time left... I bet you are a 2012 "end of time" supporter too right?

Or are you just depressed that you will probably be dead and gone before the people you fear are?

Whatever it is.. you have issues with fear that is for sure.

Bah, If the government is trying to sell Aliens it's not a good sign.

Why would a benevolent extraterrestrial species associate themselves with government, PTB, corporations, of all groups?

And they're going to be holograms of hot chicks too from the look of things... Gee, offer solutions to problems, much, PTB?

If these extraterrestrials were really benevolent, they wouldn't come to Earth and tell people how to line up to get their RFID chips and get their vaccines, they would come swooping down taking out the world's mass destruction weapons before the PTB could use them against us for being stupid enough to demand freedom.

Follow the money

Exactly mate... people are missing the point.

The internet has literally changed the world and allowed the almost unrestricted flow of information and has made that info instantaneous...

People thinking this is an advert for "aliens" or something, need to re-watch it.. until it sinks in.

We are the people of the internet.

Reading newspapers and watching the news is so passé.
