Hi first post ever. Only joined to respond to this. The witness has stated clearly that she was not inside the car when she took the photos. yet your analysis concludes that there were "gunk" of sorts on the windscreen did she admit she was inside the car?

Not attacking your analysis just want to know if she changed her story

By the way, I also have a (slightly tongue in cheek) theory about what the source of the smudge might be, if it is in fact something on the windscreen.. Hereabouts we have fruitbats, and their droppings are usually about 1" or so in diameter, and deep orangey brown (and very acidic on paintwork). I guess that is dependent on diet, but what's the go down in Sydney - do you folks have the same problem?

Yes we do. Infact thats highly plausable, may infact explain the 'blob' itself
If indeed it is moving. (A flying bat) Or bat /bird crap.

Well done on the Investigation 'Maybe'
Long live UFO CSI

Iquite appreaciate the intelligent, honest and 'realistic' manner of debunkers on this one, It really has been, a cut above the rest!

I hope to see more such threads on this website, not just about Ufos but the whole range of issues.
Keep on unravelling the truth folk, great work!

G'day phatpackage

The witness stated to me several times very clearly that she was not in the car when she took the photos.

The witness stated she was leaning against the front of the car facing forward when she took the photos.

I know this is a right pain, but can you ask MS Hartigan to t ake a picture through her car window using her iphone from both the passenger and driver's seat?

Ta muchly...

G'day FireMoon

The witness used my iPhone to take those pictures for you.

There are some interesting marks, albeit no obvious relections due to the different light conditions.

I will have a good look at these before I post them tomorrow morning.

I will also send them to Internos right now for his review.

It seems Fiona has left.
Tell us, what's the streetlight situation there.

G'day Phage

All of these lights are streetlights, as per my daylight photos & my inspection of the site.

I thank you for taking the time to do this, bravo

Did Fiona drive her PT Cruiser? Silver right? Did you get a glimpse at the interior? My guess is that the interior is white and that a beam caused the reflection we're seeing.

however, EXIF data are almost complete: something is missing.
This is the full sequence in low res, of course its purpose is just to show the sequence, NOT in real time: just assigned some arbitrary 1,00 second/framerate, just to make the point:

G'day missfee

Thank you again for your kind & courteous attention when we met this afternoon.

I am very pleased the American expert is visiting you on Monday.

It will be interesting to see if he can exclude prosaic causes for that which is shown in your photographs.

It will also be interesting to know the conclusions of Bill Chalker.

Kind regards

G'day again missfee

Remember that I said the only way to prove that you witnessed & photographed something exotic is to try to prove it isn't something "normal".

What I posted were my thoughts as to the most likely "normal" causes for that which we see on your photos.

I did not state you were misrpresenting the photos & your sighting.

I was very careful not to do that.

Claims: It happened "within a few seconds". She was out of the car.

The two photos are taken from two different locations as can be seen by the bright sunlight shining through the clouds. Notice in the "far" shot, the bright spot is in the middle of the large tree. In the "near" shot it is to the upper left of the tree. The near shot is taken further up the road than the far shot. She seems to have covered a pretty good distance in a "few seconds", on foot.

EXIF data conclusively estabilished that you were right since page #1 of this thread, at least about the location if compared with some possible movement.
Here's it in real time:

: according to EXIF data the sighting lasted for 28 seconds (lol, thanks MMN, lolol).

Date: March 21, 2010 7:18:37PM
Date: March 21, 2010 7:18:41PM
Date: March 21, 2010 7:18:52PM
Date: March 21, 2010 7:19:05PM

It has many features consistent with the theory that's something stuck on some transparent surface, stuff on the windshield maybe, but it's really hard to say. Some movements occurred between the shots.

Thank you Fiona. You car is silver no? Inside your car, the beam on the drivers side (dividing front/back doors) has an area where the paint is exposed right?

Fiona, please don't be offended with our ramblings here on ATS, we're just curious people

I believe she said she was 5'2" and it took 8-seconds to snap all five photos.
There was/is no mention of any other photo (that the MSM failed to show, as someone said earlier)

And Wayabove.....your animated ditty you did, is great! But you know what? From that prospective it really looks like she shot these photos from outdoors.

I know this 'inside/outside the car' thing is getting to be a bit much but as trivial as this aspect is (and the amount of energy we've exhausted on it)....it's really quite an important piece of this story.

My gut tells me she's not faking. But my head is fighting with my gut throughout this entire caper! This is a real tough one!
