Female frigidity was a big question back in the 50's and 60's. In the end, the studies blamed the women.

Male erectile dysfunction is the new problem. Seems the studies will again find a way to blame the women.

Would be a welcome change from all the anti-Male propaganda in the news. In fact, getting women to admit responsibility for any negative consequence they face means you are being a misogynist.

Reverse Equality - eat your heart out!

Interesting thread....

Now tell me. Did they find any male physical characterstics that act like a drug for the female brain?

Personally......I like the broad shoulders

Yes, there have been studies. Too lazy to look them up, but essentially the most attractive male body type is the broad shoulder, athletic types (I think they termed it V shape)...
But I'm with you - tall with broad shoulders.

For women... I think natural, fit, curvy... not fake, is beautiful.

It's interesting to note that Marylin Monroe, who was not skinny, is still considered by many to be the ultimate sex symbol. Even if you look to today's porn stars (I'm just using this as an example), Gianna Michaels who again is not skinny is one of the most popular stars right now. The whole model/supermodel culture is just sickening.

Well Dark Ghost, maybe you would enjoy reading women's magazines, as they tell it, apparently everything is the woman's fault.

I love the premise of this study. I do think it's interesting the differences in what different people find attractive. One of my close friends always liked really confident men, but I find them very unattractively arrogant. And I've noticed with other women that we all seem to have very different tastes (maybe with a few exceptions.)

I think it's ironic though, that fertility is so hardwired into our brains. When most people are taking a lot of precautions against procreating.

I actually have read Women's Magazines (sometimes there is nothing else to read in the house). The thing is, who writes Women's Magazines and encourages women to focus on such garbage? Women. Who are the ones saying "this is how you get a man's attention...", "this is what men look for in women..."? Women. You will find that women in general are far more judgemental of other women than men are of women.

You know how I feel when I see women emphasising that "Hourglass" look? I find it very unattractive. I think it's silly women put so much effort into dressing like that because they think it makes them look sexy. Women who dress in stylish clothes that fit them and complement their body shape (whatever that may be) are the really attractive ones. I use public transport quite regularly and I see women of all shapes and sizes.

It's funny you should mention Marilyn Monroe. Back in the mid '80's I was in a music store and a couple of girls were next to me flipping through the poster rack. They got to a picture of Marilyn Monroe in a bathing suit and one of them said, "She's fat!" The other girl nodded in agreement. I just shook my head.

The whole "thin is in" thing started back in the late '60's with models like Twiggy. Of course, back then they only had lighting, makeup and clothes to disguise those unwanted pounds. Now, with computers, they can create models who look like alien refugees from a low gravity planet. I never really got "anorexic chic". It's like hugging a pencil. Occasionally my wife will get a clothing catalog in the mail with plus size models (by today's standards). Some of those women are truly stunning. The hourglass shape works for me.
