Ever catch someone doing them? They know you are there but don't know you are watching?

Check this one out

I go to the bathroom. Another guy is in there with me. By luck, fate...whatever...we get done at the urinal about 5 seconds apart (me after him)

I get done and head for the old splish splash with the soap. Small office and one sink doesn't work so I see him head for the sink before me. Man was there before me so it's all his.

Here is what unfolds...

He walks to the sink completely oblivious that I am in the corner watching to see when he is done so I can take my turn. He turns on the water, hits the soap dispenser 3 times. Here is the catch now...

He allows the soap to go straight into the sink and none in his hands. Then he splahses the water making sounds like when you soap up and rinse. Then the auto faucet turns off. He turns to his left and uses the air dryer. He flips it on and his hands are nowehere near the air stream. Why? Because he NEVER washed his hands in the first place so why dry them?

He then walks out. After I washed up I used the paper towels in order to open the door.

So two things I noticed here

1. Simple and plain...he didn't wash his hands

2. The weird part...he spent as much time as he would have in ACTUALLY washing his hands making it LOOK and SOUND like he washed. So essentially the guy spent the same amount of energy and time making it seem as if he washed than if he'd actually washed

GAH I HATE PEOPLE!

What you witnessed is called conditioning. It very common amongst people who simply live in an automated state of mind. You can see that happening in public places with high volume of commuters. One will generally follow the person in front without realizing that he or she is actually heading in the wrong direction.

I think you are over sensitive and have been conditioned to respond like that.Possibly from one of those Socialist/Marxist propaganda spewing teachers you had in grade school.

Billions of people don't "wash their hands" after urinating or performing any other bodily function. Why?Because in a large part of this world, places you will never go,water is a precious commodity.

Also that area of the anatomy is actually the cleanest part of the body because most adult males spend more time "soaping up"that area when bathing. If you say you don't,you are lying.

If he accidentally splashed urine on to his hand, then there is nothing to worry.Urine is sterile and acidic and will kill all bacteria and other gross things. It has been used to sterilize surgical instruments in battlefield situations.

The dirtiest thing in a bathroom is the door knob you used to enter the room.

You actually should wash your hands BEFORE using the facilities.

I once watched while at a stop light, a really good looking blond in a very expensive convertible, pick a booger out of her nose....and eat it.

Well frankly I am sure many will disagree with me but no I don't think I am wrong. Not washing your hands is gross. I realize that in many places water is...practically non-existent. I want to ask you something and I am not flaming. Would it bother you if I went to the bathroom, didn't wash and then cooked your food? Would it bother you?

Next time the creep has a birthday, wrap up a bottle of hand sanitizer as a gift.

If this is a restaurant, don't hold back and report him.

If it were me, I would have called him on it right away. It is gross. It's also a waste of soap, water and electricity.

It wouldnt bother me, if u handled the food then cooked it, it is sterile from the cooking. The whole washing ur hands thing has never really been a big issue in my life. I pretty only wash my hands when i eat greasy foods, cuase i kno i will end up rubbing my face. Mayb its cause i have never gotten sick due to some one urinating then cooking my food. Now, if ur an extremly messy urinator, and u soil all over hands and they are just soaked and dripping wet, atleast dry them off.

Sorry Kyo

I don't think it would have bothered me that much, but it was weird that he faked it! I just don't see the point!

sigh

I was in a corner WAITING for him to finish. Did ya read the part where I was watching while he was WASHING and not going to the bathroom? Did you read the part where there was only one working sink? Did you read the part where I was merely waiting my turn to get to the sink? Yeah I was watching a guy wash his hands. I was watching to see when it was my turn and I happened to catch him faking it

jesus I wish people wouldn't jump to insane conclusions

Thanks for stopping by

What gives you the right to call him on it?

It is a bit weird faking washing your hands, but it doesn't give you the right to belittle someone does it

This disgusting person might handle money that gets passed onto somebody else. This person might shake hands with somebody else. Touch a doorknob, etc.....

That gives me the right to belittle him on it. Think about it, this person is affecting the general population because the don't wash their hands after defacating or urinating. What if they had herpetic lesions on their weiner?

If you can't see how disgusting this is, and not something to get upset about, then don't wonder how you get sick at times!

Good that you mention this. Something was bothering me. One poster said that people should wash their hands BEFORE using the bathroom. I couldn't think of an argument against this but it suddenly hit me...

Let's pretend a moment the external door handle is filthier than the inside. That would mean the dirty hands touching that door knob are bad. So my issues STILL holds water. Regardless of when they filth got onto their hands they are still spreading it. Their hands are dirty before entering the bathroom, then they get dirtier as they touch that external knob, then handle themselves, then handle the door knob on the way back out. So it doesn't matter what area of the bathroom is dirtiest or when exactly the filth got onto their hands...point is they were dirty and at no point did he try to clean his hands so regardless of where and when the filth hit him, he still has it and now it may be amplified by handling himself in the bathroom.

Look I am totally cool if you don't want to wash your hands (speaking to those who say I am overreacting, not Blanca Rose) just for the love of cake don't touch me

Do you realize how many guys scratch their balls and touch their junk(conciously or unconsciously) on a regular basis?
You're pretty much guaranteed to touch surfaces that have been "violated" everyday.

That is why I carry hand sanitizer with me everywhere, in case I cannot get to a sink to wash them.

I guess you must be a pocket pool player, huh?

That is a little extreme.. trust me, you get your fair share anyway, worrying about these sort of things will turn you into a germophobe.

Haha, you got me! No, not really, but let's say you did.

On a similar note, do you guys know how common it is for people to smell their own farts? I read a thread on some forum and about 50% of the people confessed to doing it.
