Moral of this story , NO DRINKING BEFORE SEX in Dubai !

The story then goes on to say

"She was trying to report the rape but soon realized the policemen were more interested in how often she has sex with her boyfriend.
"They even asked if she did just normal sex or anything else in bed."

Can you imagine ?

Man a prime reason why I don't travel much. Your at the mercy of laws and a moral code you may not understand. I suppose this is a good reason to research a countries legal tendicies before you travel. I hope this works out for the poor woman.

Cheers

And the moral of the story is?....

If you've got female dangly bits don't go to Dubai

Other countries of the world are different, imagine that.

While I feel this is a bit much, and the Dubai authorities are being ignorant in this case, it still doesn't negate the fact that she should have known what could have happened in any given scenario like this.

Maybe the world MSM should start suggesting to people that they shouldn't go to foreign countries that don't allow premarital sex , or any other 'vices' we in the western world take for granted , maybe then people would start taking into account that differrent rules and laws , even ones that we consider backward may apply , rules and laws that either get them stoned or worse.
And maybe if the tourists stay away ,maybe then the rules and laws may start to be relaxed in these countries as they realise they are losing tourist cash hand over fist.
But of course Dubai citizens do not partake in premarital sex , nor drink , nor indulge in porn either do they?
Not according to people I work with that have gone there, they were offerred these 'illegal' things often enough.

Dubai is a criminal slave state.

www.independent.co.uk...

Sahinal Monir, a slim 24-year-old from the deltas of Bangladesh. "To get you here, they tell you Dubai is heaven. Then you get here and realise it is hell," he says. Four years ago, an employment agent arrived in Sahinal's village in Southern Bangladesh. He told the men of the village that there was a place where they could earn 40,000 takka a month (£400) just for working nine-to-five on construction projects. It was a place where they would be given great accommodation, great food, and treated well. All they had to do was pay an up-front fee of 220,000 takka (£2,300) for the work visa – a fee they'd pay off in the first six months, easy. So Sahinal sold his family land, and took out a loan from the local lender, to head to this paradise.
As soon as he arrived at Dubai airport, his passport was taken from him by his construction company. He has not seen it since. He was told brusquely that from now on he would be working 14-hour days in the desert heat – where western tourists are advised not to stay outside for even five minutes in summer, when it hits 55 degrees – for 500 dirhams a month (£90), less than a quarter of the wage he was promised. If you don't like it, the company told him, go home. "But how can I go home? You have my passport, and I have no money for the ticket," he said. "Well, then you'd better get to work," they replied.

Pretty evil place if you ask me.

If we can't go to their countries, and expect our morals to be respected, then we shouldn't allow them to travel to our countries.

Since when does a woman sexually active with her fiancee become alright to rape?

This is an outrage.

Ignorance of the law is no

Excuse!

We are headed in this direction people. The US has over 600,000 laws, do you know all of them?

Soon you will go to jail if you do not purchase health insurance.

Imagine the first night in prison, your cellmate asks what you are in for. Oh, not purchasing health care insurance. Reply-come over here girlfriend.

edit to add-They need to escape as soon as possible. The man will be arrested if not already.

That is one thing that is stupid in Dubai, they sell alcohol there at the airport and bars outside, but yet they can arrest people intoxicated with no other grounds.

They also have plenty of prostitutes there, knowing whats going on. They just turn their head the other way a lot of the time.

I feel bad for these problems, but that is something they should have known going in. They can arrest you for being in the car with a woman you aren't married to unless its your family.

That place sucks, I'll never go back. The whole place is better in pictures then in person, trust me.

You do realize I could speak similarly of Atlanta, GA don't you? Most jurisdictions in the United States have laws against public intoxication. It doesn't necessarily make it right, but it does kind of fall into the old glass houses rule.
