good reporting. Thanks. I have to go check out the sites, I haven't been following the quake activity tonight, because I am extremly sleepy and can barely hold my head up, and I am at work. This 'condition' of sleepiness is a precursor to large quakes I have learned.

I'm watching this actions closely. With all our little quakes the last couple of days here in the PNW, this one makes me a little more nervous.

Praying there isn't a significant tsunami generated and that it is far enough away as to not cause a lot of damage.

Hey like I said, I am at work, I need to wake up! Otherwise nobody is minding the business, lol!

I learned this precursor though after following the thread here on alternative methods of earthquake predictions.

Me neither, broahes - but don't listen to them - I don't. I'm no expert, just passionate/interested/bothered.

But this isn't a thread just for pro's it's a thread for those that watch (the clue's in the title
) and sometimes we have things to say about an event (perhaps it's an area we know much about (i..e muzzy's posts)) but sometimes we just watch and report and speculate and learn from others.

We've refined the thread so that only larger events are noted and we are encouraged to try to add some of our own commentary... sometimes there's not much to say!

Why is no one looking at trends...symmetric flow...harmonics...paths...fault lines?

Some of us are, some just like patterns

My particular interest is the smaller, often locked plates... I watch and learn but I don't always have something to say about it on each quake. Admittedly I posted a "wasted" entry with my "ooohhhhh" but I guess we do all kinda chat a bit on this thread too, although we do try and keep on topic

I think space cadet is one of those that is sensitive to quakes, usually says they feels sleepy when a big one is due... I guess not everyone would pick up on that.
Would be handy if you could tell us BEFORE next time though, space cadet
