Lights are a no no.....in my opinion

Hi all....I have been following oh forget it....cant be bothered to type a story for my explaination
Point is......If UFO'S come from deep space.....why would they need lights....not likely to meet much on the way are they ?
Explain that.....saves me a typefull

Lights aren't only for the purpose of seeing, but also to be seen.

Geez come on......every light in the sky unexplainable is from this planet.....If a new technology is being tested then they would still have to light up, surely not to bring about disclosure due to accidents to public.
I cant see for the life of me, beings would do a check on their scooters of space, making sure their lights are working.......my point being.....If they were about.....they wouldnt be relying on simple lights.....Aaaarrrrggghhhhh......it dont make no sense......

And how can you say that with certainty? You're going off the assumption that a UFO wouldn't need lights, which may or may not be true. As the previous poster said, lights can be used to be seen too.

Why would Ufo's want to be seen? So far, by the looks of it, they don't want to be seen, as they haven't been appearing boldly so everyone can notice them. Why always at night? Why only a select few see em?

Rubbish.....its like the military walking into battle with flourescent jackets on.....Why in the world would you want to be seen if you didnt know the dangers or possibility of danger ahead.....Why fly all this way to put on some lights and say.....shoot me down.....but if you cant I wont land or never have landed.......
Im trying to understand, if your right and Im wrong.....Why would they use lights.....surely they wouldnt know, unless prior teachings....that erm.....can you please turn your lights on if your on a visit.......Its so ridiculous

But we see countless UFO's with flashing lights and I dont understand it.....Its a earth navigation theory. If the military say had a top secret plane in flight for testing and I happened to......whats the point...

So when two people who cannot communicate via a common language meet they often use hand signals (Visual signs) to try and make themselves understood.

Maybe they are doing the same thing, remember looking down from orbit the first "humans" you would meet would be the ones flying around in the metal tubes with wings and flashing lights.

Hey maybe they are the welcome committee? I don't know lets flash back at them and see what happens. Oh nothing, must be stupid so lets move on to the next planet.

Who knows really, but just picking out that one thing seems a little short sighted IMHO. You don't know how they think or their basis for logic and reason.

Well... you may be seeing UFO's on YouTube ect. that are not UFO's but human crafts, that would explain the lights, at the end of the day you have a point, I except that, why would UFO's have lights?? but like I say what if they are lights to power the craft rather than to navigate with?? hmmm?? come on explain that

You might consider that the light is an effect of their propulsion system.
It also changes in color at various speeds.

Also FYI military craft of all kinds have lights on them as well, so that theory goes out the window.

Also how do you know what the planet is like where they come from, perhaps visibility is a problem and they need the lights? Sure maybe they have the technology to see each other with out the lights, but just like we have, the unaided eye cannot see things in low visibility without lights.

That is to say that perhaps having visual cues of their craft is just like here on earth, not everyone carries around night vision goggles in their pocket or a radar on their arm.

All one has to do is sit and think for a few minutes to understand the vast reasons why another advanced civilization would use lights for multiple purposes.

Im not trying to be a jerk here, but your post just didnt seem that well thought out. You didnt even take the time to write out in detail what you had questions about, just broad, vague statements.

Well if they are using....per se lights...as propulsion, then am I to presume that in 10 years time the car is no longer needed, since I can switch a switch and be instantlly transported somewhere....

I do agree somewhat with the OP's point.

I think most, if not all the craft we see in the skies are man made.
Anyone who captures a light or planet or the ISS on camera/camcorder and then that's it... It's a UFO.

I just wish I had the knowledge to think things out the way it would stand out. My point stands on a level I only know. Sorry I cant produce a spectacular thread to get my point across.

Why WOULDN'T a ufo need lights to see?

Let's say hypothetically that ufo's are spaceships from another world, so their main medium of travel maybe space, for which lights would prove pointless, but they would need them for scanning a planets surface/taking off or landing perhaps?

-That's if you're talking about ufo's within our atmosphere, the ones in space, like those alledgedly seen in the tether incident(s) may need lights for the purpose of detection by other craft from its own fleet/armada/squadron.

Why would they need lights?


We don't even know what they look like or what their method of travel is?


They may not need lights at all... or maybe their lights are not even in our spectrum.

Don't confine them to our limitations.

Why wouldn't they need visual aid on ships? Where do those ships park? Probably in a bigger ship. I'd think even when we become highly advanced, we'll find that having lights on any sort of vehicle, planetary or otherwise, as a useful tool.

Also, lights may be a result of a system other than visual reference. Be it energy, or something else.

Perhaps it's a way of gathering data. What do we have here on primitive earth that blinks and gathers data? Oh yes.. fiber optic technology. Perhaps they are cameras of a sort.

In other words, there could be a plethora of reasons why a ship would have lights, and probably many more reasons we can't even fathom. Of all the theories behind the fine science of debunking, this one always made the least sense to me. "Omg.. they don't need headlights, obviously hoax!" brother...
