Think its already been posted earlier on in the thread, but its definately an eye opener, especially the bit about hanging people.
Hypoxia does really seem the best way to do it. Its quick (under a minute, I think?), painless, and cheap. And it doesnt require a doctor to
administer anything. Which is an issue with the lethal injection.
I found the reaction of the pro death penalty guy he spoke to at the end really strange. I thought it was a given that pain wasnt actually intended
for the person being executed, hence the administration of anasthetic, wet sponge on the head when using the electric chair etc. Yet when presented
with a method that aside from being painless, is quick and cheap, he was really against it due to the lack of possible suffering,
Which then begs the question what are these pro death penalty groups actually about. Do they want prisoners to suffer? Is the general opinion that
they should be more painful? And if so, how much pain will be judged as being adequate?
