No problems

I hate seeing people sprout off about some thing and have nothing to back em self's up with.

For Info: Secure areas are very well lit, the place the video was taken looks like the lights were switched off (probably hiding the fact it was done in a home)

I strongly suggest this thread is regarded as a hoax unless the OP can explain how he got the camera in

A firefox plug-in?

Well, I wonder if being a daddy can be regarded as work in 'governmental' institution and his job is to monitor his family's network traffic in a dark room.

And now he feels quilty and wanted to make a confession that somehow ended up being extravagant, since he had no guts to confess he's really only a daddy monitoring net traffic of his family...

I mean anything is possible

Then again, it may be something totally different.

I dont think this is news either.
I think its rather evident that the internet is scanned for keywords. But Im having a tough time believing its a "manned" operation.
We have web-bots that scan information quicker and more effectively. Not to mention spyware that creates ads based on your web searches (i.e. search for camping tents and get ads for sportswear websites) The technology is beyond what is described here.
From what I understand, your local cable provider has their own scans, including kazaa bans and bit torrent bans. Also they track UL DL info.

Maybe Im missing something here, but this is just my opinion.

It looks more like parental control software to me.
I think you may have something there. I am smelling hoax, kid, maybe I am wrong.

More like hiding the stuffed animals and Miley Cyrus posters in the background.

I would guess ATS is watched and if he is real someone will squawk on him post haste.

Great info, I applaud the kahunas you must have to do such a thing..and I am guessing you will live up to your username pretty fast.

It is watched, but not for the reasons, 99% of the members here think/guess.

The system is designed to go off 10 feet from the front door of the secure area to alert you to the fact that your mobile is on, and you have forgotten to hand it in.

If you turn it off, walk inside the room and then turn it back on, the alarms go off, and you will be escorted to a holding are to explain your actions.

Perhaps the OP doesn't have one in his basement

Mum and Dad said "No".

Great, another "former spook" blowing the lid off of the surveillance system, except.......

You have told us nothing that we don't already know or suspect. So what are you going to do, are you really going o "blow the lid off" and start naming names, sites and specific procedures, or are you going to just say "this is happening".

Until these "whistle-blowers" start really upping the ante by really and truly OUTING the system and personnel and directives, nothing will change except for your source of income.

Well, thanks for that anyway I guess.

I can make software like that within 10 minutes, even with those exact same icons (freeware silk icons). Not sure what that is video supposed to prove, when all you can see is someone's computer screen in mom's basement (no offense but it gives that impression). You could at least just rotate the phone or something but I think you didn't because then we'd see a messy bed with dirty socks on it and a emma watson poster
.
No offence meant, you don't have reason to lie but we also don't have reason to believe random ATS poster.

good post, short but interesting video.

people need to realize that we (the USA) live under censorship. the nature of censorship is that you may not know (what you don't know) --->

i bet many people in china don't even realize their google excludes sites. how would they?

so, censoring data doesn't cover all thinking, a secondary filtering and analysis system is required.

in dallas, our cable provider changed (from comcast to time warner) and new equipment came in. same thing happened in many other metro areas. under the guise of anti-trust, cable providers swapped markets and black boxes went in to record traffic.

What worries me more than the OP's motivation to post a hoax, is the willingness of so many members to believe this codswallop!

Maybe thanks should go to the OP, for providing ATS with an idiot filter.

Wow, amazing secret info from a spook, it makes me want to sing that old BeeGees song,

Jive talkin, and tellin me lies,

Jive talkin, you wear a disguise,

Jive talkin, so misunderstood,

Jive talkin, you're really no good.....(that last line is harsh, I don't mean it)

To be fair to the OP, he's far from alone in terms of posting jive on this site.

Yes, I grew up in the 70s. It's hell getting old.

Post my evidence you say? Well, others have already pointed out that if he is genuine ( he's not ) he is going to be in serious trouble. His employer would already be aware of his posts here, and they would only let him continue to keep posting in order to let him build himself a tighter noose around his already doomed neck.

He has revealed nothing that's not common knowledge already. He's shown us nothing with his secret video. For Pete's sake people.

He could just be trying to build up points.

Doesn't he gets points for every response to his thread?

If this is the case - Call HOAX, Lock the thread.

So a spook has info like that seems like he has no security clearances or wishes not to speak of the cool stuff they have now.

I am a civilian and work for the major telecom provider for all telecommunications companies and see what he speaks of daily. I have not signed a nondisclosure clause in any of my contracts so the information I share about the subject is not Top Secret or do I need to feel scared for my life for revealing it.
I use "them or they" referencing the government agency in the basement of the main headquarters of my company. "They" use a computer program I believe was called carnivore, it uses a flag system, flagging words or combination of words. These flagged messages, emails and conversations are passed off to a human for review and from there I do not know. I have seen the program run, know that all messages and the majority of calls in the United States and surrounding countries are run through this program. This is only referring to anything going over a wireless carrier signal, and what was in place 6-7 years ago. I know a few facts about the programs shortcomings, it could only monitor one way communication if the call is between different carriers (this is why "they" have space at all carrier's main headquarters now) and blackberry messages were sent somewhere else for decoding. Blackberry uses their own encrypting and sure "they" have an answer for this problem by now since the program and people I refer to has been in operation for over 6 years in my offices. For all the folks in other countries, this is happening to you as well by your government. I have worked in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Columbia and have the same characters involved. It is quite simple to retrieve this information and the telecom companies involved have given "them" a direct connection.
One question that comes up all the time is this spelling change or writing in code, and I can tell you this just means more flags to your message or conversation. Folks I truly believe "they" do not care about most crimes or dirty language (although some folks I work with do get a kick out of reading some of the things people say.) I will tell you it is illegal for the company I work for to comb emails and message but we do intercepts on errors and we work to fix the issues, so some messages are seen and yes some make us laugh. The thought of all information passing by the minute through these companies is being personally monitored is impossible but everyone should think twice before you send any information over any wireless connection, be it your computer or cell phone, it is not private, and if you are flagged someone will be reading....
