It's so off the chain that everyone, no matter what their political leanings, has to keep an eye on FauxNews to make sure they're not advocating revolution or worse.

Anyone wants to be really and truly informed watches and reads everything they can...not just what they happen to "agree" with. You will never, ever get the big picture by focusing on any one source.

Also, anyone who thinks they're getting unbiased news from any of these outlets is seriously mistaken and probably very seriously underinformed and misinformed.

The funny thing is the number of people who watch any one program on FoxNews still doesn't come close to alternative media numbers. (radio, internet)

I don't know I think a good amount of the public would still be "asleep" if it wasn't for GB on Fox news. Not that I agree with everything he says but he has to stay within a certain boundary on the MSM. He can't just dump everything on the unknowing public at once he is trying to get you thinking and doing your own research so you can discover the evil nature of these S.O.B.'s on your own. It's the drip...drip....drip....method. Plus he probably frequents this site and AJ's sites for his future talking points...lol.

Wow I couldn't even finish reading that first page. Why are so many people taking sides?? This whole thing with news networks is just theatrics, and most of you are falling for it.

They're all fluff at different times, so OF COURSE you assume channel x has "more" crap than channel y at any given moment. And yet each one shows just enough logic every now and then to retain its viewers.

Why not TURN OFF your t.v. and if you don't have time to research news online, then just enjoy life but please stop being so damn stupid, because frankly its embarrassing to the rest of us!

I agree. Watching any MSM news outlet is only going to give you the agenda proposed by that outlet. You are not getting news, you are getting propaganda.

A smart person would take any news story and treat it like an ATS thread. Even if it sounds real good, without real proof, it's just a story.

Moreover, I could give a rats ### how well Fox does in ratings, but what I do care about is how they lie to the American public day in and day out to divide this nation. They lie to your face plain and simple.

The sad thing is you know they lie right to your face but you want to believe it so badly that you go along with it. Then you and a thousand other idiots meet up in Washington and sure enough they believe the lie to, so it must be real. Then you begin holding up your signs saying "Stop giving the First Lady Terrorist Fist Bumps" and "Watch out the black guy is going after Grand Ma". This site claims to deny ignorance yet in just these few pages IT IS LOADED WITH IT.

What about Chris Matthews when talking about the man with the assault rifle showing up to town hall meetings. They deliberately hid the fact that the man was black in order to push an agenda.
To me that is the same as lying.

The main reason I defend Fox news is because they have the right to report how they want no matter if the President agrees with them or not.

The first instance of a man showing up with a gun to a town hall was white the second was black and was found to be a radio stunt. Not that the color of skin matters anyways.

Most news outlets suck but at the very least they are not lying to the public about how the President is going to imprison Americans or is a secret Muslim Keynan terrorist.

When the Star or The Sun rag magazines you see in groceries stores talk about how a man gave birth to an alien baby you don't see the N.Y. Times picking up the story and asking questions like is this true, maybe we should cover this story for the entire week 24/7. That would be giving that outlandish story some level of credibility.

Well that is exactly what Fox is doing. They get these talking points from political operatives like Sarah Palin, who gets it in turn from the insurance industry that Obama is out to kill Grand Ma with Death Panels.

Now anyone with 1/2 a functioning brain knows that is absolutely ridiculous and a complete lie. So instead of just letting this utterly retarded notion die and not cover it (like the N.Y. Times would do to the Sun or Star rag mags) they cover it, over and over and over, and over again.

Than here is where it gets really bad, the regular media picks up the story and they run with it. Mainly because its sensationalism but because Fox is getting all these ratings. That action gives the story credibility. That is what the President is arguing about. The fact that Fox has no credibility is nothing new, but what is new is that regular news sources are running the story and that is the problem.

Than as a consequence an admendment gets struck out of a bill that would allow medicare reciepients the money to meet with their doctor for an hour to go over how they would like to die when that day comes and what their options are. Just a measley $100 bucs so some old guy with Cancer will know what his options are.

We see alot of conspiracies on ATS but if this isn't a text book definition of brainwashing and controlling legislation through propaganda I don't know what is.

Republicans screamed that Obama was going to brain wash kids in school yet they fail to realize how Fox fed them that crap to begin with. They are the real brain wash operation.

Because I would bet many Conservatives here are decent, intelligent and compassionate people who would if you sat down with them at a kitchen table would absolutely agree that medicare should cover a measely hour for an old person to meet with their Doctor about their options when they die. But all it took was the industry, political operatives and Fox News to do the insurance companies bidding.

Seeing the first couple of pages of people bickering and insulting one another makes me glad I turned off my TV and stopped being brainwashed by ALL of the garbage propaganda-spewing "news" stations which are nothing more than herd-steering mediums for TPTB, who LOVE this endless fighting of the little people, because it allows them to keep the endless flip-flopping of the two-party crime family servants they keep selecting to violate us all firmly in place, admin after admin. the rest of the networks are made up of centerist rights, centers, and lefts.

What is the number when you add MSNBC, CNN, CSPAN, CBS, etc...

about 5-6 times the amount of Fox?

what do you think would happen if another right wing radio propaganda station opened up? fox news would start falling apart...what about 3-4 different varietys? boom...

They have high ratings because 20% of America gets like 100% of their news from Fox (sorry, 20% of news watching America...typically a older demographic).

Fox news can have a audience of 5m a night for their prime time spots, and will still fail in elections (yes, thats not a mistake, the point of Fox is to appease the conservative lobbiests, therefore they are a election machine)...Why?

Because its a news channel (sorta) and the younger voters rarely if ever watch the TV news...if anything, they hit a website for the headlines and thats about it...and which party do you think is overloaded now with the under 40 voters?

From what I can see there are a lot of Obama supporters on here trying to knock FOXS news,guess independent 3rd party ratings hurt.

I completely agree that they have the right to report how they want - just like we all have the right to accept it or not; Regardless if the President agrees or not. I do find it odd that a Mass Media Network that is so anti Obama and has so many close ties to not only Rep. but the Bushs' themselves; would openly speak so badly against the President ... I mean I'm all for freedom of speech and the press but aren't they totally contradicting that whole Patriot Act that was so neccessarily put into place? Do as I say don't do as a I do I guess. Dont have someone tell you what's going on find out for yourself .
