I had my reservations until I saw the entire collection. Very compelling to see the spot stay seemingly so stationary. This gives me a bit more hope that it's not just lense flare up there.

Do you guys even think about the things you say before you say them? This is "proof" from around the world? Why not ask if there is a valid explanation, or if it is possible, rather than relying on commonly known camera oddities?

Here's a few reasons why you can know it is false.

1. It is lite up like the sun is. Why is that significant? For the same reason you can not stars during the day. In order for something to show up during the day like that would mean that it was either very bright on it's own, or it was reflecting light from the sun(like the moon).

Now, if it is bright enough on it's own to make the picture, then it would be quite visible and atleast 100 times brighter than even the planets. Those are big light sources in the videos if we assume they aren't sundogs. Why is this significant?

Because the earth rotates around the sun. This means that it would only be visible in that 1 spot for a short period of time, and the the time behind the sun would be minimal of time. Which means the only way this object could stay hidden behind the sun and not show up so bright at night, is if it was on an orbit similar to that of earths. Otherwise, as the earth makes it rotation around, the object would come more and more into view, and go across the sky just as the galaxy itself does.

As if it orbits the sun as claimed, then it will be following keplers laws. So if it is a good distance away from the sun, it is traveling slower and so forth. Only if it was in sync with the earth in speed and such could it stay hidden behind the sun all year long.

If it's reflecting off the sun, then it would have to be pretty large/close and so forth.

If Jupiter were to suddenly start heading directly towards the sun today, it would take over 3 years before it reached the sun? The distances being talked about are that big.

This means if a planet X existed, it would have to already be as close as Jupiter to be here in 2012, or in that time frame.

Did you know that the stars and such that are near us change in distance all the time? And that over millions and millions of years, 1 comes "close" to us. Do you know what distance is considered close? Over 1 light year away.

And yet, a star coming even that close to us will have enough gravitational pull to upset our solar system and cause asteroids and comets to change paths and bombard the planets? However, now we are talking about an object that shows up that big and bright next to our sun and it's not causing any problems?

And ya know, I can keep on going and keep on going. But this is stuff you should have learned in 8th grade general science.

Being open minded is great, as is giving new ideas a chance. However, in order to find out what is "true", then you must also be able to point out the things that are false. There is no reason or excuse for trying to push this stuff off like this. Even a tiny bit of research would show why these things are false.

I usually ignore Nibiru threads but with "front page news" I expected more proof I guess.

Any Astronomers or Physicists joined the Nibiru tribe yet? or provided Actual astronomical data on this thing [speed, trajectory, etc]?

more HOPE?? Maybe you should ask yourself why you're HOPING there is some catastrophic, life changing event coming our way, rather than waiting for proof that so far hasn't even come close. It's ok to pick a different team to root for

This is just the effect of lens in photos and videos.
Every photographer knows that!

Otherwise, thousands of amateur astronomers would be reporting it!
I am so tired of false predictions.

I am one who thinks that everything we see, read, experience, learn, watch HAPPENS FOR A REASON...
as soon as i opened this thread my girlfriend texts me and says "LOOK OUTSIDE!! THE SKY IS ORANGE!?"

I expected more proof actually. We first need to rule out EVEY other possibility before stating this is the Flying Spaghettimonster's Lair (by then I'll just call it Nibiru). And since we can't rule out every other possibility, I don't believe it's Nibiru. I don't believe in it anyway.

God knows what the the spots in the original vids are, but i don't think they're a product of the camera - dirt/lens flare etc.

Lens flare would move/change in some way as the camera lens itself moves. There is indeed lens flare in these vids, but the odd 'spots' remain consistent despite the accompanying flare.

As for Elf's vid! I guess we must take him at his word regarding the sinister threats, but whole thing really gave me the willies!

So this thing's A LOT closer than we think!! Oh noes oh noes!!
Just messin' with you =p

Did the orange sky time-related to the thread strengthen or weaken your previous idea?

Perhaps someone needs to make a large UFO-shaped weather balloon, let it go up in the air....call the news stations and say your 6 year old just flew off on the balloon. Then when you get all the media attention, you can start telling them about Planet X and how it's coming and the end is near

Doesnt it occur to you guys that this is more likely footage of light anomalies or neighbouring planets? It seems like another one of "those" threads which are devaluing this site.

Because of it's appearance it doesn't look like lens flare or sundogs.. But I think the evidence is too strong against it being Nibiru.. as it would have caused immense damage already if it was this close. So maybe a planetary body, like Venus or something? I don't know..
But one thought came to mind though: Didn't Alex Collier mention that a big benevolent ship is heading for us and that it would soon be visible? I'm not a firm believer of him, just saying.. but his sincerity intirgues me..

Lens flare...could the people who keep saying this get over themselves...all those videos clearly show something that is NOT lens flare...there IS something there...whether it's one of our normal planets or something else is yet to be determined...it was on the news for god sakes...this must tell you it isn't just an optical illusion...sheesh...try using your noggin a little more...

EDIT:...OMG!!! Have a look at the post under mine...haha...I think people are not sure what they are looking at...IT'S THAT LITTLE ROUND THING NEXT TO THE SUN THAT DOESN'T MOVE AT ALL, EVEN WHEN THE CAMERA MOVES, IT'S VISIBLE IN EACH VIDEO, AND IS CLEARLY NOT AN OPTICAL ILLUSION!!!!

Hate to be the party pooper but...

In each of those videos what we are seeing is:

a) Lens flares from pointing the camera at the sun

b) Internal lens reflection because of the way the lens was ground.

c) double glazed windows with offset reflection

People are seeing stuff, but it certainly isn't a large planet approaching us.
Or a nemesis star, or ...well anything for that matter.

Furthermore:

Sitchin has been debunked for quite a while now, and thoroughly so. It behooves anyone to take a look at what language specialists are having to say about his "work" on cuneiform. You will be surprised at how little he actually does know. It hasn't stopped him from taking peoples money for his fictional works though.

there are literally thousands upon thousands of amateur astronomers who would be capable of seeing this, and yet, we are looking at youtube videos?

This is lazy minded people. And tiresome, but if you want to whip yourself into a frenzy of fear over something that isn't going to happen, by all means! It seems to be a trendy thing to do here. lol

Like...yeah. That's why I'm posting: because I'm not believing. Not because I am. I agree with your post though.

So we gonna assume that it's the FSL? Not for me thank you.

Most of the Vid/Pictures can be explained by optics, flares and normal planetary orbits etc...

However I find a link after playing the last video in your OP interesting here:

It looks like this video you posted hasn't received much attention here.

I would like to hear the lens flare crowd comment on it.

We've been pretty well programmed to immediately dismiss anything that causes us to think outside the officially prescribed box. That's why so many can dismiss the accounts of former astronauts, pilots and other trained observers when it comes to UFOs.

If we were talking about someone stepping out of bounds in a football game, we would all be trained observers and wonder how anyone could miss the obvious.

The object just off the sun in those videos are quite impressive and taking into account the sun's movement across the sky, it could well represent a real object. But this being said... it should be just as visible as the sun moves further away still and then leave less room for doubt.

If this is the case, the truth should be undeniable in the coming months as the Earth continues its fall-to-winter trek.

F&S... gotta see where this goes.

I find it interesting that it is coming from behind the sun.......which means it would/will be visible in the sky in a different location as the year passes. Last time I checked we revolve around the sun, thus any large object heading towards our sun would change position relative to earth and be pretty obvious to us. As we rotate, it would appear to move from the sun and into a more visible area. Judging by the sizes on the videos such an object would be more than noticeable as the year passed. No one on earth could hide that.

Boy oh boy do I wish Nibiru was real and on it's way here to tear the earth to shreds right now. No more bills, no more work, no more BS.

Unfortunately, I think that most of these can be explained as reflections and the like.
