hmm.. if this really happened, it would explain the whole "hoax" of the 6 year old kid and the flying saucer weather balloon out in colorado earlier today; from what I heard they were rerouting planes because of it...

i've only been over to England once in my life but when i went i flew out of JFK airport (New York City) and landed at Heathrow (London) around 14 hours later... in other words, there's a big time gap between the US and England (different time zones) - turns out it's a 7 hour time difference between Denver, Colorado and London, England - in other words, when it's 2400 in Denver it's 0700 in London.

Makes sense to me..

As would I mate -its just that this aspect wasn't mentioned in the summary of the incident included in the OP.
Cheers.

Heh, I've often thought along those lines too!

Do you think they would take us if we claimed political refugee status?

Our leaders are mostly insane and drunk with power and greed...wouldn't that do for a valid reason to qualify?

Read the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I'm sure it will give you all the info you need. You have to be careful that you dont jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. Just because a race of aliens are more evolved spiritually/intellectually doesn't mean they are any more free than we are.

This is very odd indeed as my partner and I witnessed something
quite big on Monday night just after 8pm,and I`m pretty close to
the Preston area.
At first it looked like a white light jumping from right to left turning
to orange/red,at level with the roof tops, but quite a bit in the distance
say 2-3miles away
From where I was standing in my back garden I`d say the the lights
where covering the distance between my thumb and middle finger
held out at arms length.I ran indoors and grabbed a pair of old
binoculars and watched as the white light zipped back and forth,
changing from white to red/orange and back again,to me it looked
like one big structure with lights underneath,so it must have been
bloody huge!
I tried getting a few shots, but all I got through my crappy camera
was the rooftops.Interesting sighting none the less.

I am still amazed when people cry " No Pics, no Video, it did`nt happen "
that is even more narrow minded than the attitude which we accuse TPTB of. Not everyone on this state of the art planet is interested in carrying around mobile phones, cameras and video recorders. This seems to show how scared some TRUE believers are of coming face to face with any real truths. If you don`t have video or pictoral proof to try to trash, with the usual comments of " this picture is too poor to say " " this picture/video is too good, it must be photoshopped ". Lets face it, the majority of any information or evidence which a true researcher goes through, is from many sources, some predating modern technology. The last time I saw anything, I was enthralled in the event, not distracted by the thought of " oh I must film this and put it on You-Tube otherwise no-one will believe me. You have to ask yourselves what is more important, experience or ego ? I know evidence is also crucial, but at a cost, it`s like the current trend of holding mobile phones up at a concert to record it for proof you were there, you cant see much, apart from thousands of other arms and phones and you miss most of what goes on.

By the argument of " No Video, no photo, it did`nt happen " these people can PROVE without a shadow of self doubt that amongst many other things that:

Roswell ( Did`nt happen )

The Crucifiction ( Did`nt happen )

Jack the Ripper ( Did`nt happen )

Etc, etc, etc, so we can remove most of our history of mysteries, well done to these thorough researchers !

No pics, no vids, no story.

There may be corroborating witnesses, but they would have to be crawling out of the woodwork for it to stand up to real scrutiny without images.

If this guy had anything, we'd have it. That's all there is to it.

So, like someone mentioned prev, that means, NO Roswell, NO Cropcircles etc.

Does this mean religion is present?

I too live near the Preston Area and yes, there are some strange goings on. Where I work, seem to be near a flight path where normally its commercial planes flying by. But over the last few months, in my own opinion, their has been loads, and I mean loads of massive helicopters, formation military planes and again choppers.

Dont know why, but something is going down!!!

Hello mate,

Good to see someone local on here, yeah, there's been alot of reports of people seeing UFO's over Standish, Shevington, Hindley,Ince and Orrell.

I usually read the news online at wigantoday.net and there's been plenty of stories from the past 12-18 months about people saying they have seen something strange.

A couple of the stories had videos and pictures aswell, for anyone who doesn't believe somethings going on in the skys over where we live then they should check the following:

Odd-shaped UFO spotted

UFO spotted over Orrell

Flaming UFO spotted last night

Another UFO spotted in Wigan skies (with video)

UFO over Standish

I've seen a couple of UFO's round where I live and I honestly cannot even begin to think about what else they could of been!

This post isn't aimed at you, but the situation in general.

My position has been clear throughout. I'm an effing sceptic.

First thing I did was to look at the article's comments, then search blogs etc. - it's not just 'forum guy' (as I coined last night, comments using it before mine were edited after mine). There's also the Sean Lornergan report slightly further south. All parties, in theory, could be contacted. There are comments claiming to have witnessed the same thing on the comments of the Lornergan report (harder to contact without the cooperation of the blog).

I summed up what I found, in addition to OP's post, last night:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I've also linked to their approximate position on Google Maps (see tinyurl links in a previous post).

I still think it's probably Chinese Lanterns. However, even as a sceptic, I would be unwilling as some on here to dismiss any sighting without checking. What I think is likely is not conclusive without further evidence.

It's quite depressing that two camps seem to have formed - "pics or it didn't happen" camp and the "Hey wow! Nice find! Something's going on guys! Aliens!". Both positions seem stupid to me. And worse, they didn't bother checking simple things like whether there were contemporary independent reports of 'lights' (lanterns, lol) in the area, via the internet, without having to get up from their chair.

Point being, I find unpicking the truth more fun than sitting here saying things like "pics or it didn't happen" or "Hey wow! Nice find! Something's going on guys! Aliens!". Stuff can be checked, rather than blindly stating philosophical positions and adding nothing.

Good - multiple witnesses.

I wonder who the craft belong to - whether terrestrial or not. I don't believe anything, but seems little doubt to me this is quite credible.

Pitty there are no photo's - I have been waiting for some proper sightings of the larger craft.

I do wonder whether these will be trotted out during this collapse and we will all come together as one world (under a dictator govt) and join the galactic federation.

Bah - I am starting to think 99% of these belong to the Rothschilds - if only I could signal the fkn ET's myself - I want to get off this rock - I wonder if they would takes refugee's?

If it is really true then i think man-made, because i cant see why alien vehicles a 1000 feet big would let that amount of human planes follow them.

And if it really was alien, and they had some sort of appointment with some people from the government or whoever, they wont need a human escort.

So if it was real i guess they were man-made. No reason for aliens to fly slow enough for humans to follow them

Hi guys,

Ive never came forward about this before for fear of ...well ya get what i mean.

Im from the Lancashire area to and spend ALOT of time hiking the Cumbrian Mountains. On 3 different ocasions ive witnessed ' objects ' the size of football fields in the area. Some times there were 4 objects, some times only 2. The largest one always seemed to have what looked like scout ships doing what i can only describe as ' reki's ' .... some times they would go down to the waters of Morecambe Bay, skim the surface for a minute or two then scurry back to the ' mother ship ? '. On another occasion i seen the scout ships skimming the lake at the top of Wasdale Head.......my tent was pitched only a few hundred yards away.

As usual there was never any sound from the ' objects ', and in some cases very dim light. I did try and get some pictures but ( yes there's always a but lol ) as it was pitch black and nothing to get an exsposure on i captured nothing but blur's and darkness.

I make a point now when im up there to bring a HD video camera with a 1.4f lense to allow alot of light in........when and if i get footage of this i will happily show it on here..........but as some say on here, no vid/pictures then not true........well one day ill prove it lol.

So, let the attacks begin

Cheers!

we get reports of the drones overflying the island quite often even in broad daylight from wharton.

at about midnight i saw flashing white lights and a red steady light i instinctively thought it was a plane at first .. but then it dawned on me that the plane would have to be flying sideways to have the light formattion like they were .. i was in the countryside just outside douglas and it was lower than an international flight passing over .. it was also a windless night and there was no jet engine sound or any sound for that matter which again was very unusual.

i watched it for about 10 mins whilst it came over from the northwest of me and travelled on out over douglas.

it was extremely large for a jet if it was one and slower moving than an international flight.

we are right under several major flightpaths and i look up often .. i looked and wondered at the lights i must admit .. then i put it to the back of my mind

There's a BAe situated in Warton which is just up the road from Preston, but they don't do anything advanced there, the main output is the Eurofighter/Typhoon.

You'd think a sighting like this would've been noticed by a lot more people with Preston being quite busy most of the time, but then again I guess it depends who's lookin up at the sky!

Nice to see there's a lot of locals on here, at least I know i'm not the only one watchin the skies round here!

Wow, a clear and good video of this could be vid that proofs alien visitations, especially because you were that close and because of the things they do.
But especially because you can count on things to happen, instead of the usual "out of the blue" sighting which get filmed by shakey people with a # phone camera.

You really should get a good and great vid.

"No vid = it didn't happen"

Aren't we supposed to be denying ignorance, not embracing it and ushering it in like an old friend? In many cases, evidence in the form of photographs, video etc may not be forthcoming. However, that does not mean that the topic does not warrant discussion, investigation and theory. You're comment was utterly pointless and can only be an effort to de-rail proper discussion. If you cannot produce a copy of your birth certificate, does that then mean that you have never existed?

im not meaning to pee on bonfires (and i have nto read all posts yet, so if ill made a mistake, i appolagize in advance)

lancs is a hotspot, just outside preston is warton airbase (bae systems) so its not uncommon to see things flying about preston with other things next to them, coudl well be a ufo, could be something crazy in testing ... possibly out flying their stratotanker (or uk variant if their is one) ... i know they Had one their a few months back, as i saw it flying about outside preston whilst on the train into preston and about pooped my pants! (i had never seen any mid air refuling type planes with the nozzle hanging out)... if it was something like that its possible it could be training..

and the no vid/no pic = didnt happen thing is complete bulldookie ..... and a complete denyance of ignorance!!! .. if thats the case your calling me a lier ..as ive seen things, but i dont own any sort of camera that can take shots in even dim light, or high in the air .....as is the same with most people ... we dont all own cannon cameras that we can bust out to proove some lame debunker wrong .... bring something to the table dude, dont just deny things point blank.... it dont work that way!

just speculating! i need to read more

edit...

I'll "third" that motion...

...The report (as described in the article) would be more reliable if more people other than members of the same family were witness to this.

And witnesses who decide to come out later with their stories are not as reliable, because one would think that seeing a 1000-foot craft surrounded by aircraft would not be something you would ignore at the time/not tell anyone about.

Three camps then, I am of the camp where I pointed out how small minded some people are in these cases, I don`t care if the report is true or false, it interests me not in the least. The responsibility in these instances lie solely with each individual, if you choose a job or hobby, be the best you can in it, any less and you might as well find something else you can do. Not everything is true, not everything else is false. Yet members proudly state " Nothing to see here folks, move on " or " This is total BS " decisions they have made in seconds, they answer without a thought to base anything on. Although I think it is then even more funny when they then make a backdoor for themselves by going on to say " Not that I have read the entire thread yet, only the first couple of posts, I will comment further when I have read it ". Well don`t bother commenting further mate, you have already showed that your opinion is worthless !
