Hmm. Not sure what to think...but I heard Henry Louis Gates on NPR today and he discussed the fact that 35% of Black American males have white ancestry through their Y chromosome (father's side??). He was discussing how in the US we have the "one drop" rule.

There was a study done about 100 years ago by some Swiss scientist who claimed that per skull size he could rate intelligence. He forgot to think about how the specimens he took were from malnourished people, leading to a miscarriage of logic.

I think the race issue has distracted our society from acknowledging the fact that intelligence is at least half based on ones genetics. Then of course the personality which we also inherit will interact with that IQ to determine how it is used.

I think categorizing something by race is too broad -- I mean, there are three major racial categorizations and how can one say this or that person is brighter or less bright based on such a generality?
