Many didn't believe the MSM but information was very hard to come by.

That right there, would have been the exact problem.

Because all the mainstream media does is repeats itself. Over and over, and after awhile it just becomes accepted as fact. Not because it is fact, but because it's been repeated enough.

(IF ANYONE KNOWS THE VIDEO I AM ABOUT TO TALK ABOUT PLEASE POST IT I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR IT FOREVER)

An experiment was done with 5 monkeys, placed in a closed room with a staircase leading to a suspended banada.

Soon a monkey went for the banana, and as he put his foot on the stairs all the monkeys were instantly sprayed with cold water.

Now, anyone who got near the stairs was instantly attacked by the other monkeys, who feared being sprayed again.

So they replaced 1 monkey, soon enough he went for the banana but before he could get to the stairs all the other monkeys attacked him.

They continued to replace monkeys one by one, and before long, none of the original monkeys remained. Not one monkey actually knew what would happen if someone stepped foot on the stairs.

But thanks to their slow conditioning, it did not matter, for as soon as any monkey went near the stairs, all others instantly attacked him out of fear.

Now if you understand that, think about life for a moment. Because we are simply the monkeys. We continue to do illogical things because "that's the way it's always been done". Rather than being encouraged to question, were encouraged to perpetuate the failures of old.

Why did we originally fall into a way of thinking? Why did we originally allow certain events to unfold? Lets not look AT the problems, lets look AT WHY we HAVE the problems. We live in a society that is trained to treat symptoms, not cure the problem. Divide, Distract, Dumb-down, enslave. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. And this all comes back to benefiting a few at the expense of the remainder.

As usual the monetary system is a perfect example. It is the absolute root of all of our problems. Yet it was forced upon us almost 100 years ago for the benefit of a handful, and we have all suffered since. Hundreds of issues have sprung up thanks to this original problem, and it's these issues we are told to focus on, NOT the root, not WHY we have all these symptoms. And that's why the monkeys example is so spot on, because it illustrates how people continue to do things fearing the social repercussion of questioning, or stepping out of the status quo.

Which finally brings me back to your quote. (Thanks for sticking in there), when you convince the majority of the monkeys that this is the way it is, they will fight the disobedient monkeys FOR YOU, without you requesting it. And those monkeys who do wish to question, must live with the fear of what the other monkeys will think of them.

That's why they attempt to make us feel miserable, Desperate, Hopeless, and Vain, so that when it comes for our time to shine and time stops for us in that critical moment to speak up and do what is right - we don't. We continue to allow the system that destroys us, to destroy those around us. And that my friends, is the greatest tragedy.

MLK Jr. Said:
Cowardice asks the question, is it safe?
Expedience asks the question, is it politic?
Vanity asks the question, is it popular?

And there comes a time, when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do so because conscience says it's right.

If one wants to be truly free, they must renounce their citizenship to their country of birth. They must cast aside the childish patriotism that consumes them. They must realize that it is the entire system, worldwide, that they need to fight against. Their revolution against the government will not bring about true positive change. They need to realize that they are a slave no matter what country they may happen to dwell in.

They are suckered in to the worldwide system that is currently in place. They believe that working their entire lives just to make ends meet is freedom. They believe debt is freedom. They believe having to pay for energy consumption is freedom. They believe being indentured servants to their automobile is freedom.
They believe that consumption is freedom. If only they were actually privy to the real truth.

They are slaves to the current monetary system. They are slaves to the corporations in that they have become utterly dependent upon them for their very survival.

Self reliance in the first world is all but non existent. Very few of us actually take the time to truly enjoy our lives. We spend the majority of our lives just to ensure that a roof is over our heads. The majority of us work our entire lives just to ensure that food is on the table. In other words, we spend our entire lives enslaved. We think that this is normalcy. We have been indoctrinated in to believing this is how we must spend our entire lives here on planet earth.

We spend our entire lives pursuing material possessions. In other words, worthless items that really off us nothing in the grand scheme of things.

We don't have to live this way, however. We can live our lives in freedom. We can refuse to continue their system. We can refuse to play their game. We can beat them. We can accomplish all of these things and we can do so without resorting to violence.

When people finally realize that it is the world wide system as a whole, that is ensuring their enslavement, the sooner we can all unite and work towards actual freedom.

Neither capitalism, socialism, communism, corporatism or any other "ism" will provide that.

A worldwide system that looks out for all of our interests is true freedom. A worldwide system that doesn't benefits humanity as a whole as opposed to the few is embracing true freedom. An earth without borders, an earth without countries, an earth without division is an earth that promotes true freedom. An earth without patriotism is an earth that promotes true freedom.

Once we finally put these hindrances behind us as a collective, we can truly embrace unabated freedom.

Applause!

A member of the forum, King9072, has applauded your activity on this thread titled, You're IGNORANT! Yes YOU!. Thank you for contributing to the quality of the forum. You received a 0 point bonus, because unfortunately, Administration is busy right now enforcing their policies. But keep up the good work

Hey Sancho, remember way back like an hour ago, when you U2U'd me and asked, "Doesn't the situation on ATS seem hopeless sometimes?"

The following proves that there is hope;

Bottom line, is that there are great people on this forum, and more continue to join. All I hope for, is that soon the monkeys who decided to question, outnumber those stuck in the past.

The reason they relate Natures law to being a Luciferian is because the US is made up of Christians and when they hear the word Lucifer they foam at the mouth and shut down, it's what they've been trained to do. What a better way to steal ones freedom than to tell a bunch of Christians that to be free is to worship Lucifer.

They think of everything don't they?

Rereading your post this jumped out at me.

Trying the same thing over and over, expecting different results, is the definition of insanity.

To that I will add a little saying

"If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got.

I was thinking of saying that phrase when I said the other, they're both perfect for describing the situation.

Op of course people are all ignorant. I can talk about my life and people have no clue about the things that they do to people, and people are totally ignorant to it.

But there are plenty of things i am ignorant about, and i will never talk any time to learn about, and i do not care about.

Thats like all of us.

I know I'm ignorant!....Wait a minute, that dosn't make any sense.
Let me just say, that I do a pretty good job of ingnoring my own
ignorance.
Then every so often someone completly ignorant to how well I was ignoring my own ignorance, comes along and messes with my head
in just the way you are doing right now. So please op try to be more
sensitive to other peoples ignorance.
What may I ask was the motive of this thread?
What was it that caused you to remind everyone of thier ignorance.

I certainly havn't heard anyone deny ignorance.

I cannot find the video yuou speak about but I found a few videos that highlight exactly what you are speaking about when it comes to the media repeating etc.

This thread is probably one of the most airtight ones I have come across.

If I were to say I am not ignorant of anything I would be saying I know everything and even Rumsfield could not even claim that...

TELL IT LIKE IT IS, BRAH!

That's the reason I have chosen you as a friend. Your threads are super worthy. S+F!

Here I am, cowering behind the (supposed) protection of the Native American Church hoping that those who should be serving the wishes of the People do the right thing. I know they won't. That's why I'm preparing. I know I will die someday, but I'm in no rush. My suffering must be just.

We have to drop greed. We have to respect the earth, the sky and each other. That is, if we hope to survive. We must not war.

My suggestion, dropped into the cosmic e-suggestion box is that all who wish to be in government undergo a purification ceremony including guided peyote experience. After that, they must work for free for one year and depend on the kindness of others before assuming any post.

I gladly confess my ignorance about televised professional sports and Lady Gaga and her ilk.

Keep it UP King!

Well let’s face it ATS’s motto is “Deny Ignorance” not overcome it! Ignorance is blissful for many people and they will choose to search for that opiate rather than to be a responsive and responsible member of the world they live in.

As long as responsible is defined as, go to work on time, do your job, don’t complain, pay your bills on time and pay your taxes…well ignorance is going to reign supreme and so will be the common practice of abdicating true responsibility to the greater world and society we live in.

The truth is in all reality down right depressing in a way. There are billions of people walking around the planet literally in a stupefied and brainwashed daze, looking to mythical deities to illuminate the way and corrupt and self serving government officials and media personalities to illuminate the way.

If you did a survey here on ATS chances are only a small fraction of the members even here no where their local library is let alone the members of the general populace at large. Ask them where the nearest Game Stop shop is and they will be Johnny on the spot with directions for you.

What makes reality so depressing in some ways is the billions of people clinging to an absurd fantasy going through life in a complete fog with blinders on replete with varying forms of circular logic that makes any combination of numbers add up to one for them, as in I am the one who has the right answers.

Let’s bomb Iran, lets give the richest people in the world a bailout, lets pray to a G-d no one has ever seen or spoke to in a two way real conversation, lets fork over 50% of our income to do this all while less than 1% of the world’s population enjoys absolute control of 90% of the world’s wealth and vital resources and hordes them, while we drive on the same old roads with potholes in them and stands in lines for vital services.

Ignorant isn’t really the word, brain dead is the word.

I'm sure someone more literate than myself can give a better answer but it appears to me you are asuming that if we were not free anarchy would ensue and engulf the world, this my friend is ignorance through conditioning and you are very much a victim and and a promoter of the mindset of fear that keeps the vast majority of the worlds population slaves to the corporate elite.

Regarding the "including admins/mods" statement in the title. I think you'll find that the OP was being sarcastic and having a little poke at the mods, I'm sure he is more than aware that the mods are indeed as fallible as you and I and indeed himself.

king9072 I would be very interested to see this video you speak of regarding the conditioning of the monkeys, I will do a search myself, but if anyone does know of it please let me know.

Edit:
I came across a similar example of conditioning whilst trawling the net.

A baby elephant tied to a stake hammered into the ground by it's circus owner tries without success to pull free of it's shackled condition. Long before it reaches adulthood it has learnt that despite it's efforts it will never be able to pull itself free, by the time it is strong enough to break it's shackles it is conditioned to believe it cannot. Get them while they are young.

I often wonder is watching sports just a mind numbing experience? Is there any worth to it?

Then I think of Jack - most call him Jackie, but his widow calls him Jack and I prefer to go with that - Robinson. He broke baseballs color barrier in 1947 and for all intents and purposes ended up killing him. The crap he put up with those first two years before he was unleashed and allowed to be himself most likely would have killed another man on the spot. As it was, it hurt him to no end and while one cannot say, medically, it was the cause of his death it had to have played into his death, I must think, which came too soon.

What he did paved the way for the civil rights movement(that should have happened directly after the Civil War but didn't) and he was as brave and courageous a man as there ever was in this country. IMO, of course.

To not know about him because you think sports is all part of the game is not denying ignorance. Yet is there any worth to putting your time and energy into games played by people who you do not know, who don't know you and don't care about you? All the while wars are being waged, on battlefields, in boardrooms, in secret rooms with the elite laughing at us while making deals that make the thumb they have us under that much bigger and stronger?

I don't know - ignorance rearing it's ugly head again? - but I still hate the N.Y. Yankees. Always have, always will. Misguided? I probably am.

I don't know. At least I am not sitting here saying I DO know, that would be ignorant of me to say.

EDIT: Forgot to throw this in. Another medium that uses us and makes us more ignorant? Again, I don't know, but here's some lyrics from a song I grew up with that are kind of fitting for the thread. I've been going back and listening to some older music, refreshing my brain to some of the stuff from BITD and hadn't thought of this one in a while, so here it is.

Queensryche - Take Hold Of The Flame

We see the light of those who find
A world has passed them by
To late to save a dream that's growing cold
We realize that fate must hide its face
From those who try
To see the distant signs of unforetold
Oh... oh, take hold

From a haze came a rage of thunder
Distant signs of darkness on the way
Fading cries scream of pain and hunger
But in the night the light will guide your way

So take hold of the flame
Don't you see life's a game
So take hold of the flame
You've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain

Ride, to a place beyond our time
Reach, for the edges of your mind, and you are there
See, that the light will find its way
Back to a place where it will stay, make it stay

Throw down the chains of oppression that bind you
With the air of freedom the flame grows bright
We are the strong, the youth united
We are one, we are children of the light

So take hold of the flame
Don't you see life's a game
So take hold of the flame
You've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain
