7,000,000 and no one noticed?

Interesting how quantcast show a graphical 5 months trend in visits for the site. What was that big dip from mid-june till august? Maybe more interesting is the big climb back up in September!!

I wrote out a long, 4 page post about ATS's landmark 7,000,000th post mark. It was epic, and I am being modest. Detailing the many great achievements, and the many great members that made it so amazing.

Then I clicked the side bar, went back to "home"... lost my whole post. Didn't feel like re-writing. So I posted in a kanye thread.

I noticed it.

I was in Mutter when it happened.

That's the normal summer dip in activity.

We also tend to see lots of inane posting from bored kids out of school during the summer (lots of hoaxes etc), although the politicos are giving them a run for their money on drivel right now.

Oh and 'trep, that's primo stuff that I have tried before.
Right now I have some Glenlivet on my shelf.

does that mean that in the last 24 hrs, 65 members have written an average of 130 posts each?

Or are those some kind of averages?

I don't think so.

If you look at the post ID of your post it is 7 129 631 so that would seem to mean (to me at least) that there are almost 130,000 posts in the trash (mostly spam and duplicate threads starts etc.)... BUT... SkepticOverlord is in a better position to answer that question.
