Remember Ed Asner, and Willie Nelson, and Rosie ODonnell and the rest of them during the Bush years??
They were crazy with critisism of George jr. And rightfully so.

But it doesnt take a genius to figure out that Obama is merely an extension and the "closer" for George....

So i ask you, where is the criticism? Where is the outrage? Even the loudest voices have quieted down....

Seems a little odd, doesnt it?

Nobody left the country, remember the threats from the Hollywood Hills?

So i wonder what they're thinking?!

Just curious.

All this silence is a little peculiar to me.

Well Willie did have a cameo appearance in the Obama deception for what it's worth. I think why Hollywood is being so quiet is I think they're shocked that Obama has turned out the way he has after they threw him so much support. I suspect they're having a lot of buyer's remorse.

Because majority bigwigs in Hollywood adore Obama. And those who are against his policies are afraid to speak out because they may find themselves highly unemployable.

But to tell you the truth, I am glad Hollywood is quiet.

Uhhh..Hollywood has nothing to do with politics. Most free thinking people can differentiate between fantasy and reality. Your beloved celebrities have little or no influence in the political arena. Most everyday people are unable to relate to someone making millions for standing in front of a camera.

They were very outspoken before. I'm going with buyers remorse.

Yes, it's that and also to work in Hollywood you have to be a liberal, if you want to be a big A list start and what not for the most part. There are some that they just don't screw with though.

For the most part though they want to keep their careers going, fans buying their movies and what not, and don't want to speak out because they don't want to be unemployed.

The ironic thing is that once Obama taxes everyone back to the stone age with healthcare and cap and tax no one will be able to afford their movies, music and such. I guess be careful what you wish for...

These times we live in are an outrage.

I'm a liberal. At least, i used to be a liberal
Its hard to tell any more, i guess i'm nothing now- because we have nothing for a government. Its all one side. One party. What an ironic word, party.

Anyway, i just asked myself, self, why after all thats so obviously wrong, dont people speak out?
Not even the stars.

They flamed Bush when it was popular opinion.

They backed Oman when it was popular opinion.

Right now they're hushed because either they have no opinions, or they're not popular.

Although, it'd be pretty hard to follow Jeneane Garafalo. None of them want to dare looking so ignorant in the limelight.

I used to consider myself Republican and was even caught up in the Neocon world afther 9/11 even deployed when OIF started. Thought I was doing my part for a safer world. I'm in medical so I helped out soldiers and iraqi civilians alike. Once I went to the Burn Unit and stated to see these young kids all burned and mangled I had to ask myself for what reason have these young people given up their life? That was my big wake up call. Then I discovered Ron Paul and he cured my political apathy.

I admit I don't like Obama. I don't like him because of his policies and his actions. I honestly think it's going to take some kind of visual cue, some kind of senslesss suffering for people to challenge some of their perceptions about this world and really challenge their core beliefs. I do feel ashamed about having falling for the neocon propaganda and such, I can take some solace that my role enabled me to help allievate some suffering caused by them.

Obama's plastic.

Hollywood's plastic.

Neither is real.

Smoke and mirrors, appearance over substance.

Woudn't give a tinker's damn what they thought anyway.

Actually I do agree with you; but as an aspiring actor [15 movies 4TV series] "acting" is not standing in front of a camera.

It is a craft that requires study and dedication. If you think it's easy, join your community theater and see for yourself.

"Buyers Remorse" is an apt description of Hollywoods attitudes from what I hear from my friends here in Tamalewood.

I think Liberal and Conservative is a bit of a misnomer this day and age.

What I'm seeing a lot of is people that label themselves "liberals", but in all actuality they are nothing of the sort they are too far left to be liberal. They should start labeling themselves "excessive"

Same goes with Hollywood though, it is a socialist industry which is funny because they promote a socialist agenda all the while getting rich off a capitalist system.

I also heard that 90% of the people that run hollywood are gay too, don't know if there is any truth to that though, and not that there is anything wrong with it either.

Edit to add -

let me clarify my hollywood is a socialist industry statement, not that it is a socialist industry, but run by a bunch of socialist.

You call that outrage?

That was an earnest plea to quite down the birther movement. A plea alot of people have asked.

If you call that outrage then you must pee your pants when someone yells at you in anger.

...and risk being slandered as racist or uncle tom. I'm sure they won't risk it being they have seen what open criticism on the regime can do to ones reputation.

It was interesting during the campaign Stars were coming in support and then after they were doing commercials for his national service project. Now all you hear are crickets. I think it's fear of reprisal from the white house, which in my mind opens up a whole can of worms and buyer's remorse.

Any more outrage than that out of Chuck Norris and people start dying.

And my bladder issues are off topic.

I concede to two very well stated points.
