Based on another thread on the subject, there is indeed an anomaly, as the OP has found a picture. EXCEPT, that may be the picture of the
'monolith' that is on Mars' moon Phobos?
Anyway, if on Phobos, it's been known about for years, photographed by the Viking lander, I believe (fact check needed).
Some of the more oblique depictions (like in the OP) are computer-generated "what-ifs", based on the original photos which were more directly
overhead. These are based, it seems, on t he size of the shadow, and other relative marks and their apparent size.
