America not going to fall ! To the disappointment of alot of people who clam to love it

A lot of people loved the Roman Empire too, and it failed. Just because we are talking about it and trying to make plans, doesn't mean we don't love our country.

Maybe you don't follow the news, rising unemployment, a government that has the printing presses running 24x7 devaluing our currency and passing draconian laws , and a population that is starting to take notice, all this leads to me thinking that it is possible. Do I want it to happen? Maybe, as I don't think our current incarnation of "democracy" is what was promised to us growing up and it might be the only thing to fix it.

The problem is not just how to get yourself and all your assets out of America, (ESPECIALLY once martial law is declared), but any monetary transfer overseas may possibly be seen as "funding terrorism" or "proceeds of crime" and could easily be confiscated.

The biggest problem for you will be finding another country that will even take you.

Maybe you think just getting your ass into another country illegally solves all your problems. It probably will, until you are handcuffed and deported on a flight straight back to the US under armed escort.

We fly people out of Australia all the time that have been caught here, usually overstaying a three month visitors permit.
This is not America, we do not give illegal immigrants welfare and free medical here. You get prison , then a Judge, and then very swift deportation.

If you come to Australia as a tourist and decide to overextend your stay illegally:
You cannot get a job here. (you have no tax file number).
You cannot open a bank account. (you have no personal identification)
You cannot get a driving license or buy a car. (again you do not exist on any government data base)
You cannot get credit. (nothing you can produce to show you legally exist)
You cannot get welfare or medical treatment. (no identity, no Medicare card)
Even finding somewhere to live might be difficult, because landlords are fussy and usually require some pretty solid ID. They don't want to get ripped for rent.

You become a "non person" an illegal, a total outlaw from society.
It is only a question of time before you are caught, jailed, and deported right back to the US on a direct air flight.

And once you are here, there is ZERO CHANCE of applying for residency status. You will be told, go back to the US and apply to the Australian embassy in Washington. You can only do that from the US, not from Australia. But the irony is, you now have a criminal record in Australia, so your chances of being approved for immigration become ZERO.
That is the strictest rule of all.

I don;t know about other countries, but we are absolutely RED HOT on illegal immigrants here. I believe the situation in New Zealand is fairly similar.

Yeah, I remember bagpacking 20 years ago, comin from New Zealand.
Didn't have a Visa for Australia and trying to get one in N.Z. - almost impossible; and I'm holding a good passport (not US).
Had a confirmed flight out of Australia to Indonesia, Amex-Card and was good looking (:lol
, pleasing the officer at the High Commision (was that the name?), since there is no embassy between those countries. - Anyway, got it.

Had a nice stay in both countries. Australia is definitively a post-doomsday-country, but hard to get in. - Still strange because didn't need a Visa for N.Z.

What would happen to bills, rent etc. If suddenly the currency of the United States was worth little to nothing? Would everyone be evicted from their apartments; there homes foreclosed on all because no one could afford anything anymore?
I wanted to buy my own house because I figured if I had my own house it would be harder for someone to ask me to leave?
If america falls willl everyone suddenly be homeless. starving etc? Or will society somehow change and help each other out?
I am not sure where in the world I would go because I figure the other countries may be in just as much chaos.
The bottom line is humanity needs to stick together and help each other out so if america falls then we can help build it back up again.

That's what I am wondering. If most all of society suddenly had no money, what would average people do?

I have a lot of health problems. I know I wouldn't fare well on my own.

I have tried purchasing a home, but it's hard buying a home when you're a woman. Been looking for several months, and the only realtor who would schedule an appointment to show me a home stood me up. When I called him, he told me the house had already been sold that morning. He had just made the appt with me couple hours before, and hours after he supposedly sold the house. Why make an appt to show a house that's been sold? That was a couple weeks ago, and the house is still listed for sale. I will call about other houses to different realtors, and they'll answer and almost immediately tell me the house I'm inquiring about has been sold. But, many of these houses are still listed. Why keep a house listed if it sold?

The government can just come in and seize your home anyway I guess. It happens and has been happening for years now.

There's such a mentality in many parts of the country that many places would be too dangerous to be if things broke down. They'll just kill you and take your stuff.

I would not move. I feel my resources are best put in going meeting the best group of people I feel exist, getting involved with them, and becoming part of their betterment.

I do not feel the lack of a government as the reason to leave a land. I feel it, much rather, a reason to stay and try and help the land.

Would Canada be a good option? Or should we move overseas maybe to Australia or the UK? How would countries in South Africa be affected? Would China be a good place to move to?

There will be no place "immune" from the fallout if America falls economically, geologically, astrologically, mentally, physically or any other way possible.

I'de recommending staying put and doing your best to get things off to a great start again. We might have to ditch the entire Washington D.C. crowd from the 300 families that own the Federal Reserve to the US Congress to the Supreme Court and the White House.

A Clean Slate may be required to get things rolling again.

I would suggest that you start networking with like minded people. ie same values and beliefs.

Don't buy a house. Buy bare land somewhere near and prepare that land for survival. Have a well dug first. IF needed have a greenhouse built and equipped.
These two items will bring food and water..I suggest using aquaponics in the greenhouse. Google it as it is a closed loop system using 15% of the water used by traditional growing. Also provides fresh fish.

Shelter is quickly and easily constructed using techniques developed for third world countries if materials are on hand. Cement, PVC and burlap for starters.

Put up a windmill or solar panels for power.
Lastly if you prepare this "bug out" place. Hide some food and supplies there. I suggest a "root cellar" if ground water levels permit.

Things may get tough for a while and America may not be the tog dog on the block anymore, but that'd be good for the country. Americans could start focusing on America again, as other countries would have to start taking care of themselves, and it would be good for Americans to get a reality shock. It would put their priorities straight and make them realize they have to work for stuff instead of the government just handing them stuff.

If you're young and tough this would be a good option. For the first few years it would be dog eat dog. Roaming gangs of thugs would round up all of the food and dry goods and resell them for a fortune. Things like gas would be tough. Neighbors would have to band together to provide law and order. It would be rough going with 320 million people competing for scarce resources.

Russia may be an option, it's a huge country with a population of only 140 million people which shrinks every year. If you have any skills at all, I'm sure there would be many ways to make money.

Well right now I can't go anywhere, so if anyone wants to get me a truck and camper that would be a good start. I am going to sell off most everything.

Unless someone can help me get what my ex owes me. Without help from others I will not make it, so how do you think any of us will survive if we are not working together?

I have said this before here on ATS, they are in control and winning because they work together.

The early Patriots won because they knew each other and worked together.

Today we are all virtual people with no real physical connections, close the Internet and we all fold.

I do not know anyone near me, I do not know any of you, when the SHT hits the fan I am on my own. 1 against a horrid machine that wants to grind me to dust.

Fortuneatly I am one with a Majority, in God. Say what you willl about faith and belief, but the only one who has ever cared about me is God. Humans have slammed the door in my face.

What makes you all think you are any different?

In that hypothetical situation, I would not move. I would not budge. I would stay right where I am and do what I have to do. This land is my land, from California to the New York Island. You leave if you feel that is your path and I wish you well. I'll be staying.

I have these thoughts sometimes... here's one... Maybe America will simply be used as the pit bull for the powers that be.. is that the NWO or illumisomeones.. anyway... I think maybe there is an agenda.. you can go live in some nice place and maybe later its attacked by the dog... or you can run from the big brother eco disaster and find that you just found a different flavor... or maybe you just want adventure... thats cool.. so do I! Everywhere has something and somecrap.. there are "little things" (I wont go into) in say, the EU that are just as wonky as some in america.. (i've lived in both places)... The principal of the American system is sound, but unfortunately long trampled and perverted and simply ignored... So.. uh what am I rambling on about.. it's up to you.. I suppose you could sneak into Albania or some blablastan country, now thats adventure... try it man, when you are so lost and no one speaks your language...interesting things happen... ciao 4 now.. Take charge of your self. Network with like minded and like beliefs. Pick a bug out spot and pass it around your network. You don't have to say that we don't trust the ptb or their puppet govmt ...just in case of local emergency kinda thing meet here. Have a plan for survival...even seek donations to stock the bug out point.

You being aware shouldn't wait to be taken care of ..rather take care of others.

I'll be staying put.

I live in the country. I built my own house. I have a big garden that we've been eating from all summer as well as giving food away. We raise chickens and I have eggs coming out my ears. They taste great but I can't eat them fast enough. I make my own wine. Next season, I'll be making about 20 gallons which is about 10 cases plus or minus. I'll be giving some away or it's necessary it's great for barter.

We have about 20 fruit and nut trees that bare at different times so we almost always have something interesting to eat. We'll be canning peaches pretty soon. My apples already look good.

We just got a food dehydrator that seems to work pretty well.

We also buy food by the case, date it with a sharpie and eat the oldest first.

In other words, we live the way that many of you plan to do if there is some catastrophe.

I don't see a sudden collapse of the system. If it's going to break I see a slide down over a prolonged period of time.

What would I do if I really thought we were close to imminent collaspe?

1.) Big costco run. Rice, beans, canned goods etc. I'd only buy what we eat but I'd get a lot.
2.) Fill all my water jugs. We have far more than we keep filled.
3.) Pet food in bulk. My little furry friends will do better than most city folk.
4.) Feed for the chickens in bulk.
5.) Refresh my seed supply as necessary
6.) Inventory my stuff and replace or update as necessary.
7.) Make sure my gas supply is topped off ( not just in my cars)
8.) Batteries

I only see issues with roving gangs if you live in an urban area. Living in the country, we already have a volunteer fire department. If something happens, we all turn out. If you really have a collaspe of society, the volunteer fire dept then becomes a community patrol. Main streets into our area blocked off with armed people to protect the area. Please don't ever underestimate the people that live in the country.

Things that you might think about if you really believe that the US dollar is going to tank. Perhaps put some money into mutual funds that are foreign based. Look for a "China" fund or a "Australian" fund. That way if the dollar loses all value, your fund would suddenly be worth much more.

You ask the question as if there were countries lining up to take us. Other countries have tougher immigration laws than we do and they enforce them. Unless you are VERY special, like have a doctorate from an ivy league school or are a billionaire, you're not going anywhere.

It already has failed. Most people just do not realize it yet.

When an economy fails, it doesn't just disappear, it just fails to function properly. There will always be an economy, even if it just barter.

They don't realize it because it hasn't happened.

The fact is, if the American economy actually failed, or became ineffective, you would see economic failure on a global scale that would result in millions — if not billions — of deaths worldwide, mainly from malnutrition but also from disease.

The entire world relies on the stability of the U.S. economy. When the U.S. economy sneezes, the rest of the world trembles in terror, as we have seen in just the last year or so.

American capitalism and technology created and refined what is now known as Western Civilization — Europe and Asia had thousands of years to develop and advance their technology and culture, yet they never achieved anything near the level of sophistication, expansive commerce and wealth that the U.S. created in a mere 230 years. Our experiment in free market capitalism launched the entire world into the modern age.

Also, with our incomparable capacity for agriculture, we feed an enormous segment of the human population around the globe, not to mention providing charity and medical assistance to lesser nations on a scale that leaves other world powers hanging their heads in shame (but still holding out their hands for the freebies). Without America, much of the world's population would simply wither away.

They don't teach this in American schools anymore, and they hardly mention it at all in the increasingly socialist global media. But the fact remains that America is still the rock upon which the modern world is founded. When even the tiniest of cracks blemishes the rock, the rest of civilization panics.

In spite of the "economic failure" propaganda that is so rampant today, the USA can sustain economic hits that would devastate Europe or Asia. That's how strong the American economy really is. The doomsayers are trying to convince us that the USA is on the same economic footing as other nations, but that is a bald-faced LIE.

Look at it this way — the rest of the nations of the world are economic infants compared to the economically matured USA. We're economic giants compared to a planet full of economic midgets. When someone cries, "Oh, the U.S. economy has faltered!" the rest of the world panics, because they think in terms of their own fragile economies.

That does not mean the American economy is in trouble. It only means the rest of the world is weak and easily alarmed.

Our new socialist administration in the USA has seized upon this fact to call for a reorganization of the U.S. economy — what some have called "de-development" — a campaign to redistribute American wealth and bring us down to the same economic standards as the rest of the world. The objective being to "correct" a seeming imbalance of global economic power.

Again, this does not mean the USA is in trouble. Rather, it means that those in power wish to expand their power by juggling world economics, and they justify this tampering by disseminating preposterous LIES about climate change and economic instability that the gullible public accept largely without challenge.

will the us fail? yes, but not in my lifetime. here's a plan
a company that invents new catagories of technology would definitely make millions or if multiple companies were bought and fixed up that would also make millions. then the millions could be spent on an island devoted to making everything free and a safe haven could be made by all the smart people of this site! the world would make advancements in everything
