Bernanke threatening economic collapse if the FED is audited

www.youtube.com

“My concern about the legislation is that if the GAO is auditing not only the operational aspects of the programs and the details of the programs but making judgments about our policy decisions would effectively be a takeover of policy by the Congress and a repudiation of the Federal Reserve would be highly destructive to the stability of the financial system, the Dollar and our national economic situation.”

What a pîece of garbage. Again doing financial terrorism like he did last year... Just into the stock market crash.. ``pass this bank bailout or the economy will collapse, we'll have chaos in the streets and martial law``... now he's doing the same thing.

Can we arrest him for terrorism please?

AUDIT THE FED.

Now at 241 co-sponsors.

Bernanke is like a killer with a gun on our head... audit the FED and I pull the trigger he says... we say BRING IT ON we're not afraid of you!

Economic collapse if the FED is audited... yeah, because you're a bunch of crooks. We're going into an economic collapse anyway so better to get the FED along with the ride.

The sad thing is that we don't have a government that have the guts and the honesty to tell the truth and neither to go after this banking cartel of crocks they have been bought by all of them.

And we the people are more at fault for not taking to the streets to exercise our rights to demand the government to work for us.

Pity, will will always be nothing but servants to the system.

YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW

SO DON'T ASK..

Thats all the report says.

More fear mongering INO

That if you need to ask about the FED then the WHOLE economy will collapse and it'll be YOUR fault.

Economic collapse seems unavoidable now. I dont think bernarke alone has the power, but its not like the fed is the only entity that controls our money. Obama could just keep the printing presses running overtime until were swimming in worthless money. We need to audit the fed, then we need to audit Big B.O

HM.. the guy could be telling the truth - we talk about trillions that are unaccounted for , fraud upon fraud on inimaginable scale. Revealing this information would undermine the global thrust in the US currency.

The best alternative would be to creeate an alternative money sistem after the new requests, and slowly burry the old one without auditing it. That would be a soft landing.

Just my 2 cents!

Yes, an empty threat, the global collapse is imminent.. Dah !!

But does he imply HE can start this collapse IF the fed gets audited ?

Yea, another great Idea is to lie about it and cover it up more..

Auditing the fed will bring down the economy in the same way auditing Enron caused the biggest bankruptcy in the history of America.

The problem is they get to make up the value of assets on their balance sheet (which they buy). So Bank of America might sell them a million securities contract worth $0.01 each on the open market, which the fed "determines" to be worth $1000 each.

Get the picture?

Does that statement not imply therefore that monkey business IS going on?

They really do need to investigate the FED, regardless of the outcome.

Also curious that Bernanke is defending the FED so adamantly.

Good find.

Come on... its only natural he wouldn't want the "we the people" to know where the TARP money is going...

I mean think how angry people would be if they ever read a story like

Bailout of U.S. Banks Gives British Rum a $2.7 Billion Benefit
June 26 (Bloomberg) -- In June 2008, U.S. Virgin Islands Governor John deJongh Jr. agreed to give London-based Diageo Plc billions of dollars in tax incentives to move its production of Captain Morgan rum from one U.S. island -- Puerto Rico -- to another, namely St. Croix.

DeJongh says he had no idea his deal would help make the world’s largest liquor distiller the most unlikely beneficiary of the emergency Troubled Asset Relief Program approved by Congress just four months later.

Oh wait... that is a real news story... sorry for spilling the beans Bernanke

Translation : If you audit us, the entire public will find out that their money system is based on a house of cards.....and it WILL fall!

How wonderful!

If one is in favor of a full audit of the FRB, I would encourage folks to contact their
Congress whore and ask them to co-sponsor HR1207. They currently have 244 co-sponsors.

What an amazing article

...tax breaks for firms in dozens of industries. They included builders of Nascar auto-racing tracks, restaurant chains such as Burger King Holdings Inc., movie and television producers -- and London’s Diageo.

It seems the rabbit hole doesn't have any depth, it just goes on forever.

I fully support this bill to audit the FED. I am sure it will NOT happen, hope I am wrong, however, just look at what is going on with our criminals in DC. No telling what would happen if this were to actually pass the house and senate. Would Obama sign it? I think not, since the FED is basically Obama's boss.

The Fed will get audited.

Reason: many people are pissed and politicians know if there is a collapse then they will be the first to catch hell.

It seem a majority of politicians are starting to understand who the moral majority is, but only by way of fear.

Let's find out just how corrupt the system was or is, because we all know that collapse is coming one way or the other.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 is the core for the Progressives to control the entire US, and by international banking cartel blackmail, the entire world. Never would this president of the progressive movement sign into law such a bill. Never mind ever make it out of either house, since they are run by the progressives (legion of demons, democrat and republican).

Guts have nothing to do with that. The government can't possibly bite the hand that feeds them. Money elect people, not us.

And we the people are more at fault for not taking to the streets to exercise our rights to demand the government to work for us.

Who - the people? The morons that voted in the current bunch?! And previous... and before that...

Pity, will will always be nothing but servants to the system.

Amen. Bismark said, not verbatim: "...every nation deserves the government it has..." The nation of slaves deserve a master.

Not sure if anyone has noticed and please correct me if Im wrong, but are the Obama clowns and Tim Geitner not pushing through legislation to give the Federal Reserve MORE power and control?

Doesn't sound to me like they intend to audit anyone. It will be business as usual until someone new takes charge and demands these things be done. If any of you are waiting on this administration of Wall st crooks and banking lobbyists to stand up and take on the criminal Federal Reserve then you will be sorely disappointed.

Instead of holding these scheisters accountable in any way Lord Obama in all of his wisdom and glory has decided to hand the weasel the keys to the hen house.

Brilliant!!!

Why would auditing the Fed bring about financial collapse? Maybe because the actual "books" of the Fed are as cooked as some of the banks we bailed out. The only difference is that the Fed gets to print more money to cover up it's mistakes.

He's playing Jedi mind tricks on us: "You don't need to see his identification. These aren't the books you aer looking to audit. He can go about his business. Move along"

The FED is the biggest crime syndicate in the country. The financial mafia.
Of course he doesn't want the FED audited. This would be the end for them. America sold its soul to these parasites in 1913. Its time for them to go.

Sadly most Americans have no idea what is going on. The majority think the FED is part of the government and not a privately owned bank.
