They say demons are capable of providing memories of past events, sometimes for the purpose of promoting belief in past lives and reincarnation, which is in contrast to the teachings of Jesus. Not saying I believe either way, but it is a point worth considering.

It doesn't say that anywhere in the Bible.

That is just some tripe Christians make up when confronted with something that they can't explain...nor do they want to.

Its called "circle logic."

Well, if you let your mind out a little further, who said that reincarnation is only contained on one planet in one galaxy?

However, all you need to do is consider that souls do not necessarily HAVE to come from Earth. Perhaps a soul is unbounded and "chooses" to move from species to species in order to accomplish something or just to "know." It really is fascinating when you expand the idea of reincarnation.

Yes, that is something I have been thinking long and hard about since I came across this thread. Of course it is not the first time I have read this and it is a wonderful concept but one that makes me wonder what set this mechanic in motion and more importantly what force set this in motion.

If there is something to the theory then that would to my mind, indicate that there must be something to the idea of a creator force or “god” for want of a better word. I hope not as I prefer to take solace in the thought that there is no god.

Alternatively, is it a great deal more complicated in a mathematical sense? I really wish I could wrap my brain muscle around string theory as I have a feeling that could be of some use to me in the context of this subject...

Actually, a friend of mine is a member of the astronomical society of Edinburgh and she is “nuts” about string theory so I know what I am going to be asking her the next time we meet up

I don´t think a fact (the boy´s recovered memories) can be discarded because the parents may be trying to make a buck... They may have the intention to spread the story, they mey have the intention to earn big bucks, but to me it is a separate fact from what happened to the boy...

To add to that, my former husband has a very similar story , with drawings with incredible details and fear of the sound of bombs falling (firecrackers)... and as a child the family didn´t even own a television!

This is a very interesting topic and I would like to interject one the point of Demons providing past life information and the Christian Bible.

I put forward the idea that the concept of daemons in the bible is evident in that if we consider daemons is a the descriptive term for demi god. A higher self that maintains a few differant sets of consciousness on a few planes and timezones. A universal twin.

Thus we are just god, in diluted form. And so we might conclude that certain brainwave patterns put us in contact with the higher self, that remembers or is experiencing all past (present) lives.

The interesting point here is that there is reason to believe Jesus was an initiate into the esoteric societies and had achieved some level of transcendance. At the point of baptism his Deamon, in a sense, came to Earth, this is important in the esoteric meaning of twin symbolism and it is also fascinating to note the Bible mentions Jesus having a physical twin, almost in compensation to the idea that his universal twin was incarnated on Earth.

This might also explain why brain damage and temporal lobe disfunction sometimes seems to cause past life regression and time distortian.

To be honest I have a hard time understanding re-incarnation. It is complicated beyond belief and is based on a system of debt. Which means getting off the wheel must be pretty important.

Minstrel, No, I didn't read all of your posts... When you start talking about demons I quit reading.

To others who are having problems wraping your minds around this concept:

Reincarnation is not difficult to understand.

You are a mind/soul/conscious energy, inhabiting an earthly body of material we call "flesh".

You are NOT your body.

This body has a limited life span.

It eventually wears out or becomes severely damaged and dies.

Your mind/soul/conscious energy moves on.
It later returns in a new born body.

Really simple!!!

What happens in between death of one body and the birth of the new one is open to specualtion.

Not to worry, no one will gravitate to a life form with less conscious brain power. This would be illogical.

As to why everyone cannot remember past lives....
Well, By the time you are 50 how well do you remember your childhood.
YOu may even have difficulty remembering what you did in your 20's and 30's. When you get older you will have difficulty remebering what you did yesterday.

Why some remember and others do not.....
Well, the mind works in mysterious ways.

I agree with trollz. For those that believe the truth of the Bible, it is easy to see where this child gets his knowledge, whether "coached" or not from his elders. The Bible clearly states that there is no "life after death" unless you attain it in the resurrection. Once you are dead, you are DEAD! No thoughts, actions, dreams, aspirations, or future! (see Eze. 18:4, 20; Ecc. 9:5,10; Heb. 9: 25-28) This child has been given this information clearly either by human or demonic means to perpetuate the lie of living beyond the realm of the grave. This has been going on for thousands of years and it all started with the same lie in the beginning of human history by the great deceiver, the arch enemy, Satan the Devil. He is the one who said to the first woman, "...you will surely not DIE."(Gen. 3:4; John 8:44; 1 Jo. 3:8) He has been playing this game ever since! Isn't it time we should all WAKE UP and discern his true intentions as the "Deceiver" that he is? Even if this poor child was "coached" by his parents and/or the sister of that navy pilot to make money off of the publication, it still shows who is behind the actions that they wish to produce. So, is it sensible to assume it would take 4 years to bring this to light through a book? Sure it would, so that you tie up all the loose ends with so called "facts" to cover up your lie! And why not? Satan has been doing this for over 6000 years of recorded human history!

You have no way of possibly being able to "know where the child gets his information from" other than through reincarnation, which you believe is against your religion or some "universal truth" which only exists based on belief in a bunch of books written by a whole bunch of people over a thousand years ago.

I find your assertion that this is the work of Satan to be rather pathetic, but by all means believe what you want to believe. Your reaction is one that portrays deep distrust and condemnation of anyone who experiences any truth outside your extremely narrow viewpoint.

The reason why, is Church's use the "heaven or hell" as their main focus of keeping people coming to church and collecting the money.

Imagine, if people were told the truth and they said "hey it is about Karma" and you will keep coming back to get it right. Do you think Church's would do as well then? NO, not as many people would go to Church. Check out all the info the Catholic Church took out and all references to reincarnation that Jesus made.

Church's are about money, and control of the people. Buddism is so much more real and is about being the best we can be at all times, not just on Sundays.

Reincarnation my butt.

The story started with a coincidence and then everyone just plays along it's so obvious. There's no end to what people wont say when they start to believe something.

I believe reincarnation might be a possibility, but i'm certainly not convinced by these emo-porn stories. Fabricated garbage to sell lying and misleadning books to hungry minds.

That makes no sense. I hate life, and most of the people I know hate life. Who the hell wants to come back? The sooner I get to Moksha the better.

Are you really going to expect me to believe that what you claim would make no one go to church? If anything it makes me want to go to church more. if you're going to tell me that I'm stuck here and out of heaven for infinity until i get it right, then I'm going to give up my life and start trying. Because As far as I'm concerned right now, I just have to pray to Jesus and do good and I'll go to heaven. You tell me that I do that and I still won't get in and I will be angry, but try even harder, and harder. And the church is obviously going to be the figurehead of how to change.

All the church has to do is say you have to follow what the church says to end life here and go forward.

Your point is baseless. All it would do is make more people flood into church, not less. Hell, the church should start preaching that. Any sane person wants to get off this rock ASAP.

Oh, and the beliefs of ancient heretical groups kind of shows that the bible never had much on reincarnation. Some groups in Syria broke off only 20ish (or 30ish?) years after Jesus died. they have no ideas of reincarnation.

Would you all like to meet my pastor?

I believe he has all of the answers anyone could ever need. People used to call him a stand up comic, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

I can't quite figure out what to call him. Is he a prophet, or maybe an oracle?

Actually, if you know his material well enough, you might just call him asshole.

Here's another prophet's version, but he's a little more crotchity.

The Christians continually doubt reincarnation, but this is why people should remain open to all possibilities because if can't really prove something to be false, you can't really say that it doesn't exist. Hinduism has earned points. Christianity has lost points.

I'm sure Hinduism doesn't have the answers for everything either. How bout Freethinkerism? Why follow anyone when you can lead yourself to the right answers.

I really liked this story, but for anyone that has read books by Bob Monroe or Tom Campbell, this is just another facet of reality.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.

It's said (and i notice in practice) that people project themselves unto others.. i.e... liars call others liars and so on.

emo-porn? what in the hell kind of response is that? Reading that in such a thread where people have something genuine to talk about is actually vile to my eyes. All you have to do is disagree with the story and let it be.. What's even more confusing is that you "say you're open to reincarnation" but it seems like the exact opposite is true... grow up please... or "pantomime" an adult at least since that's the majority of the audience here.

To challenge you -- Since the OP's video is "emoporn" as you say, take a gander at the video posted on the first page about halfway down. Watch all five and then get back with me. I'd lke to hear your "review" Granted I don't expect you in any way to endorse the validity of the videos, but I'm still curious as to how you react---

As a conversational note to others who are interested in the subject:
I don't describe to the "demon" angle in the least bit... such a religious fabrication smells of mans hand to be true.
What feels true, which of course boils down to being only my opinion, is that the sheer number of people on this earth is causing a greater number of reincarnates. It's "said" that as you keep reincarnating, you are taking steps further and further into your evolution. This brings to mind all of the Indigos people keep talking about. Are indigos nothing more than forced reincarnated due to the ever expanding population needing to replenish itself with regurgitated "souls"? Once reincarnated you maybe keep more and more of your past lives within a retained and expressible memory? ..

b I mentioned on an earlier page that my wife also had the same type of memories.. meaning she described in detail a school and friends she once had. We talked to her family last night some more about it and the above paragraph kinda rings true. While she's not the "classic indigo", she EXTREMELY emotionally sensitive. Can speak to others in dreams during extreme situations, has had premonitions and tried to warn other family members who now heed her word after someone almost died in an accident she went nutz trying to stop people from traveling on vacation over and now that I'm really paying attention and keeping tally.. well, she's damn extraordinary in that sense.. WHATEVER that sense is.
Is her reincarnation stories that have been validated by her family ( WE ARE NOT SELLING A BOOK BTW, THIS IS FREE TO THINK ABOUT) tied to the possibility of her being reincarnated more times than others.. thereby allowing her to retain and experience an emotional level others wish they could. she can't control it though.. it controls her and is actually more of a negative thing since there are so many callous people out there... just some thoughts...

I believe in reincarnation but this is more about show-biz. Those drawings were not made by an 11 year old unless he was retarded, more likely made by an adult wanting the product to appear child like. And then they travel the world to follow up on it, yeah right... It's crap. Oh and Look... They're profiting off of it too... There's a surprise.

Very cool! That is very hard to disprove...

I don't think that many Christians believe in reincarnation, but I looked up "Jesus" and "Reincarnation" and found that there is a verse where Jesus alludes to John the Baptist and Elijah being the same soul.

Now i know this was meant as an insult, which only makes me cringe a bit at the irony of you calling me childish a few lines further down. But infact it's true, i am projecting myself. I worked in video productions and studied it and i know a manipulating production when i see it. Infact you can almost be entirely sure that these people were paid to make it all more believeable and all inconsistensies were edited out. You see these kind of productions rely economically on that book in the end and you might think you're seeing a documentary, but you're seeing a "sneaky commercial". It won't prove that there's reincarnation but it will do it's damn best to manipulate you into feeling that there is without actually any substantial evidence. They even say it in the title. This PROVES! It's lowdown manipulation that you'll have to open a book on hypnotics to understand why i get upset about.

People are open to suggestion and these people are exploiting that human "weakness" to their own advantage.

No as a matter of fact i have my freedom to do as i please regardless of what you might think of it. Emoporn is a bad translation from my own language. It's to describe the production (piano plays a sad tune while the child is crying etc) which is a low way of making peoples emotions overcome their rational thinking. They don't want you to question the validity of reincarnation, they just want you to believe it and buy the damn book so they can get something to eat.

What's even more confusing is that you "say you're open to reincarnation" but it seems like the exact opposite is true...

Maybe to you, but again in this case it's the video i'm not open to and the story.

grow up please... or "pantomime" an adult at least since that's the majority of the audience here.

Like a plant i won't grow any faster nomatter how much you tell me to. Nice try there though mister grownup.

then I called a spade a spade.
I've been around video production also and I know very well they cheap way a story can come across through editing and emotional story-boarding. There isn't any other way to really make a video now. Video is an art form and is tied to emotion. This does not mean that this is false. It's a mighty big expense to fly those people to japan in hopes of selling a book through a local news channel. Especially on such a fringe topic so you have to weigh what is known to you in your sphere of influence to what is rational. Being "entirely sure" they are falsifying is overboard.
I hope they make some money though. Everyone needs it..

Yeah i'm not really interested in personal discussions, i don't know you and i wouldn't dream of judging people on what they write on the internet (to some extent
). And i never meant to disrespect anybody. If it's the Emoporn word then yes it was a bad choice of word. I don't even know why we call it "emotional porn" when there's nothing sexual about it. Stupid of me on several levels. Agreed.

Anyways i am watching the 5 part docu and already i see a much more honest production, they start out by asking questions "is there an afterlife?" etc "this boy BELIEVES". A nice contrast to the other video which boldly entitles itself as proving an afterlife.

I'm guessing already that there's no books to be sold at the end of this video because the target audience is not the gullible. This one already aims a bit higher and goes for a more critical audience. It wants to spark an interest and be the product in itself whereas in the other vid the true product was the book. So i personally also find it alot more interesting so far. I have already read a few books on these cases with kids remebering past lifes though so i'm not really surprised, but well aware of the phenomena and i find it interesting.

Also books on past life regression with hypnotherapy is interesting and MUCH more rewarding than watching these short vids.

One of the things i read was about how memories may actually be transferred in our DNA which i must admit i find abit more interesting than the New Age spiritual interpretations.

I read this thread with a sneer and though, 'As if'.

Watched the vid and.. well.. Wow. I'm genuinely impressed. I've always believed in reincarnation, as a personal belief, but this story was very convincing.

I mean, even if the parents had conspired to make it all up as some colossal hoax, which I do not believe they did, they simply wouldn't have had access to some of that information.

As bad as the events of what happened to the person who died, it was quite an uplifting story to read in the morning. I hope that doesn't sound sick - I don't mean it to be.
