Extent of Nazi Camps Far Greater Than Realized

www.washingtonpost.com

A little more than a decade ago, researchers at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum decided to create an encyclopedia of concentration camps. They assumed the finished work would be massive, featuring a staggering 5,000 to 7,000 camps and ghettos.

They underestimated by 15,000

The depravity of the Nazi regime was much larger than past estimates. With more information becoming available each and everyday, historians are learning that there were camps all over Europe with sub-camps or mini-camps as well.

In addition to the sub-camps, there is even mention of indoctrination camps being used to brainwash young people who possessed desirable traits in the eyes of the Nazis. Very interesting read, and adds to already despicable time in human history.

Interesting that this comes out after a decade a day after Mr. Iran says that the holocaust never happened.

Who would come up with this news?

Israel and the JEWS are ALWAYS coming up with some type of "ANTI-CRITICISM" BS.

You can't trust anything they say that doesn't have any evidence.

It wasn't all made up and it wasn't all true either. People will always take sides but really you must study the people behind the holocaust Goebbels, Himmler, and read mien kampf and get several different perspectives on the holocaust.

In religion and politics people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing.

What money? The Germans were bankrupted by the War. The Swiss aren't handing over anything, nor is IBM, for the profiteering in aiding the Holocaust and the Nazi Regime during the War.

This isn't about Politics. It isn't about Money. It's simply about uncovering the Truth so that it never happens again, to either the Jews or to anyone else.

Those that do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it, and all that sticky jazz.

Future generations not only deserve to know, but need to know, the extent of the horrors that were committed back then. If ever we want to avert another Gitmo or Abu Ghirab, then we best pay attention to these lessons and pass them on to our children's children.

Autoban, Volkswagen, medical advances, technological advances...eh, that's all I can think of; Funny thing is that's more than most (not all) Presidents have done in the past 100 years...but none were worth the millions of lives

I concur 100% wholly and fully with your statement.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.
I'm afraid USA is the new NAZI Germany though, that is seriously something that keeps me up at night. Foreign occupation(s) in the middle east, brutality at abu ghraib/IRAQ prisons, FEMA camps, etc.
Hitler was elected into power under a slogan eerily similar to "Change we Need" and Obama is moving us into Socialism/Fascism by buying, oops bailing out, all the banks and major companies(I believe this is nothing but a NWO power move towards a higher agenda, look at all the new chevys on the road, they cant be bankrupt)

Compare Obama's power moves to Hitler's power moves. Krystalnacht 2010 isn't too far behind.

I dont know how to post videos so do a youtube link for MTV MArtial Law warnings. It's scary MTV is warning the population about this.

Not to mention the advances in Rocketry and Medicine. We'd still be using leeches and ether and trying to develop some Jules Verne style steam-powered rocket to make it to the moon, if it weren't for Hitler's Third Reich and the atrocities they committed.

However, the lesson to be learned here is that the Ends never, ever, under any circumstances whatsoever, justify the Means!

(And is apparently a lesson which the politicians in the United States desperately need to learn!)

Some prices are just too steep to pay, no matter how valuable the benefits in hindsight...and rarely of any consolation to the families of those that survived those atrocities.

Well at least you answered the question. I was expecting alot of..OH MY GOD HE WAS HORRIBLE...typical whining ya know

But Volkswagen was created by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche Hitler only designed a prototype of what came to be the beetle, Kraft durch Freude (KdF-Wagen, literally "strength through joy car")

And Hitler didn't invent the Autobahn either, it was the AVUS, and was planned for construction before the third reich even came to be.

The medical advances were from doctors, not Hitler, and technological...engineers and inventors...not Hitler

He just happened to be in the limelight of it all and indirectly received credit for all those achievements

But your right about one thing..he did set a goal and at least tried to finish it, as horrible as it was.

most every US president always has goals pre-elect, and we never see squat thereafter.

I'm not trying to be a D-bag either, I apologize if I offended you.

But I'm sure Hitler's ideas where what fueled the medical and technological advances, he was a very smart man, just read Mein Kampf.

Also has anyone ever seen or heard about the Nazi UFO's that were working prototypes, and the different bloodlines the SS and Hitler beleived the aryans tocome from.

Hitler,Himmler,Goebbels, and most of the hierarchy of Nazi leadership were deep into the occult beliefs.

It wasnt all made up but it was extremely exagerated. I had a great uncle in one of the camps so I know the stories. And some of the things that happed were pretty terrible so naturally humans when passing information from one person to the next change the story. We used to play a game in elementary school that demonstrated this.

Actually, there is a LOT of money with anything involving the Jews of World War II.

Its crazy, because I had always had an easy time finding articles on how much money is involved in the Jewish side of World War II - until now. The best that I could find would be the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Still biased, but it does a good job of outlining everything that is involved in their "About Us" section.

I only recently watched the movie 'shindler's list', the atrocities portrayed in the movie had me so shook up! I never really understood what happened, I knew many people died senselessly, but the torture and deaths were so unbelievably horrendous, I kept pausing the movie to take it all in, to know that not only is it telling the truth, it doesn't really begin to touch how bad it really was for these people! They took everything from them, money, clothes, even hair, anything to make a buck off of was taken. Where did all that money go?
It had to be substantial, so many people were robbed.

Some of you are seriously sick. How could you possible deny the Holocaust. You seriously think the evidence is all faked? I know an old lady who has recently passed away and survived various concentration camps. She has her ''tag'' still on her arm. You think that's all made up? She did it herself? Cut the freaking crap.

However, I myself doubt the official figures of people who have died. Regardless of that, it happened and whether 4 million or 6 million people died doesn't make a slight difference.

the problem is, this happens on so many occasions, right up to the modern day- Cambodia in the 70s, Rwanda in the 90s, Sri Lanka this year?

I think the Holocaust gets more attention because we live in a society that traces back to European history. It's especially noteworthy to us because it's the biggest genocide that has happened in the West during recent times.
