Don't be misdirected please. Believing in Jesus doesn't mean you will be with him some day. How can you believe in Jesus and say you love him and yet not follow his laws and rules? Let's see, Jesus said that a man shall leave his parents and cleave unto his WIFE, thus setting the standard for relationships. He then said that sex was to be done between married people. Now if a man is to cleave unto his wife and sex is to be between them then how can you have sex with someone of the same sex and be within God's word? Don't mistake anything about this,,,, Jesus is a Christian concept. The very word Christian (CHRIST) implies that. How can you completely take the Christian Deity out of Christianity and mold him to your own perverse liking?
By the way, I'm sick of the whole judge not crap you people keep spitting out. There is a difference between judging someone and discerning right from wrong. Jesus did in fact say judge not lest ye be judged, but he also said that we are the salt of the earth and it is our job to teach the earth about him and his teachings. If you don't wish to believe in God or Jesus that's your choice, and your choice to live a homosexual lifestyle as well, but don't try and mix the two and attempt to justify your sins by it.

Have you ever read the Constitution? There is no mention of God(s) in it. The closest thing is in the signatory section, where the date is written as the "Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven". The word "Lord" here in this case, is not in reference to God, but instead it was a common way of expressing the date in both secular and religious contexts.

www.usconstitution.net...

Many of the founding fathers of the U.S. were Deist, meaning they did not believe in a personal God. Including the Christian God.

Also, the United States government is a democracy as far as I am concerned. Wouldn't a Christian nation have a theocracy?

So, in what sense is the United States a Christian nation?

The only possible justification that I can think of for calling the United States a Christian nation is the fact that the majority of our population is Christian. But then again, the majority of our population is also female. Does that make us a female nation?
