Anyone have a specific channel we should be tuned to, or will just any news station be sufficient?

Again, I think it would be redundant for this to be about GM, but the gov does stupid things all the time, so...

Maybe they are announcing the missing link........

Oh wait, we did that already didn't we?

This is going to be another nothing. Regarding the GM......... Obama is set to address the nation monday 11:55 am about GM (according to CNN). Why address the nation twice?

Thanks for the clarification, though I do wonder why advise the media only to tell them not to release until said time?

It gives the networks time to gather their so called experts on the particular subject and have them available to appear on air when the news breaks. It's Sunday night and it's likely the networks would need a few hours to assemble their teams.

To embargo press release over GM, IMHO, is a poor use of this tactic.

I still say N. Korea.

Something is going down..

But..W/E

If this had anything to do with international affairs, we'd still be hearing about it from internet sources, correct? Unless there was an impenetrable international embargo, which I don't think is possible.

So, in figuring this, I'm thinking war is not the topic. This probably does have to do with GM.

GM is a big deal - we will probably look back at this and refer to it as another Enron!

Many people, including employees that had a lot of money tied up in GM are going to get screwed completely. The cover story is GM and mismanagement, but the small print is something else. This could be another Lehmans' leaving a large impact on the market, it's one of the blue chips.

Or they could just be announcing the results of the X-factor!

Is there any reason why an announcement about GM's bankruptcy would actually make the market go up? Doesn't seem to make sense, unless the news is that they've had the numbers wrong the whole time, and GM is actually an extremely profitable company, and is able to pay the government back immediately.
