I am sorry some sick whack job assaulted you, really I am; but, that does not give you a reason to accuse soldiers of rape because aslant a less the credible website says so. You stated that you have a feeling that these photos are sexual in nature but really it’s probably more of the same crap. The Soldiers who committed this acts are in prison and will be there for sometime, there is no need to incite more violence. Also From what I understand some of these vids and photos are of Iraqi Police doing it to Iraqi prisoners not Americans.

Alright, I guess I'll weigh up on this one... It's a tough subject for me, honestly, because I can see both sides of the argument pretty clearly.

On the one hand, I do firmly believe in transparency and full accountability. From that aspect, I do believe the pictures should be released, let us take our lashes and get it over with. Hiding them doesn't make them go away, it just prolongs the finger pointing and anger.

On the other hand, so you see snuff pics released by the police? How often do you get pictures of dead or badly beaten people released by investigators? Most people don't want to see that and the people involved (the victims and family of victims) usually don't want the world to see what happened to them either. Bad enough that they have to relive it in their minds, now the entire world gets to see it as well?

I tend to lean more towards the fact that it would be disrepectful to release the pics. Alright, we'll own up to it. We'll accept that it happened and release the names of those involved. But at the very least, if we release the pics, let's at least obfuscate the faces of the victims. Course then all of the nay sayers will just say "how do we know that those people are really terrorists" or whatever.

*shrug* I just don't really see this one as a cut and dry issue.

I disagree. I think he is being very transparent. He's lying, cheating and stealing, but he's doing it all out in the open.

The good old US is using a lot of gun powder in a lot of places. The people in those places are really mad at us. We invaded tham based on lies. Of course they are going to be violent towards us. Wouldn't you?

The pictures don't matter. We the PEOPLE don't really WANT to see them. Why? Because then we would have to take a little bit of responsibility and LIVE with it.

We know it's going on. We know it hasn't stopped. The only change that has been made is for the worst. We've sent more troops, spent more money, stepped up drone attacks into OTHER countries for Pet's sake.

If you are intent on breaking the laws and you get caught, you will merely change your tactics. There is no accountability. If the pictures came out, what would we think of our leader then?

I don't think it's about our troops. I think it's about trying to save his own backside.

HERE IS A REALLY NOVEL IDEA!! If you do not want people to be upset about the way you are treating their countrymen, then stop torturing them.

No people being mistreated means there will be no pictures of people being mistreated.

I am so sick of torture being called "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques". That is the exact same thing as calling rape an "Enhanced Lovemaking Technique".

How about you tell us where this photo is taking from?

All I know is that this photo and among many others from rapes like 10-12 pictures in total where out on the net on European military sites 2004-2005 together with many other photos with reply on the forum from European Nato officers who were very very sorry for that these rapes had occured, and begged us! the people & soldiers on the forums to not spread these pictures around any further!

But they turned up later on eastern European porn sites, so the cat was out of the bag so to say!

I know this from an personal perspective because as an ex-soldier I used to visit these forum by that time when it happened!

These Nato people had adresses and telephone numbers to Nato here in Europe so I suppose those officers were legit as well! So they also knew what had happened and wanted by that time to suppress that by all means possible.

By that time, there were also on the forums the guys who provided us to see the pictures, and they told us they had been swapping pictures In Iraq with American personnel and so they showed us those Abu Ghraib American rape photos as well!

These eastern guys were from Bulgaria, Poland , and some Romanian and Ukrainian soldiers as well! But most of them were contractors working in Iraq as Mercenaries payed by the ??

There were also some South africaans and South Americans there in Iraq, but not big in numbers.

Some of them were bragging of their rapes! and said some of their officers knew about it and that it was the cold reality & modus operadi in war times, and that even some Americans did this - as we have seen of the photos, both me and others!

And to tell you the truth I was not surprised because I saw some heavy pictures from 'Serbian soldiers rapes' in Bosnia some year earlier when I was in the Balkans!

There I also saw pictures and videos of people & children in small villages that they poured gasolin (the thick stuff) over and filmed while these poor people were burned alive screaming! - the usual modus operandi was to put all people in the village mosque and then burn it down.

But these video/photos were worse because they showed individual people burning alive - even small children mind you! - like in hell!

And it was hell on Earth there I tell you, because one time we entered a village while it was burning, so I saw the after effects of these crime with my own eys! - I can still remember the awful smell when I close my eyes!

All these photos were no secret in military soldier circles 2003-2005 they were all over the interenet then!

These pictures that were posted are FAKES, they belong to a porn website, and they are not real. While I do believe that some Americans and Allied forces committed some heinous crimes they were punished severally. There is no need to show false pictures, once again these pictures belong to a porn video an I am sure if you found they video you would here cheesy eastern Europe porn music. Com on they had Black Face paint on who wears that when you are guarding prisoners? If you really wanted to do that crap you could have worn your gator neck or bachaliva.

Sir, I have these pictures are part of a porn video, I have provided links in another post on this thread that prove they are fakes. If you recall in 2004-2005 there was a big stink about it raised when in fact it was all a hoax because it was a porn.

Now I am not doubting that some soldiers have commited crimes, they have been punised accordingly but to keep running with a lie where there is no actual facts is insane in itself.

Photos or not the truth is the truth.

Trying to make this appear as a moment of heroism on Obama's part is insulting. The very fact that his administration were seeking to politicize this and other war related issues are completely disgusting, and should display to anyone with a minimum of national pride and patriotism that he and his administration will stop at nothing to score a political point or two.

The reports behind these "photos" have been well known since 2004 when it was reported (without pictures) does anyone really need to see them now?

This was a way to dig up bones and was a pathetic attempt to throw dirt on the previous administration... Someone must have talked some sense into Obama... I will bet you he still secretly wants to find a way to "politicize" this issue and pictures.

I think it is about time for our president to go on another world tour and apologize to the world for the transgressions and injustices committed by all Americans.

The actions of a few are the fault of an entire nation, if you are an American you are guilty!

No where did I say I was a hero, I am however a barbarian, I will not argue that with you. You should really pay attention to the places where you get your information from, the Iraqi government recently stated that there have been 87thousand plus, so lets high ball the estimate to 150 thousand from 2003 to present.
6 years 150,000 have died that is a sad number. But not all of those deaths were by the barrel of a US Gun, the lefts beloved terrorist are responsible for some of these as well. US troop’s don’t blow themselves up in Car bombs.
