And here I had my paranoia under control, then you have to say that.

If it's to get an idea or list of people willing to speak out or protest I'm sure I've been on that list for some time now.

Great. And your birthday is on tax day? yikes! What a crummy day to have a birthday.

I just think it's great that people are getting involved...the bigger it gets...the more that people will wake up to what is happening.

If i go it will be alone as well. My wife doesn't want the stress and i really don't know to many people up here. I've lived here for a few years but i'm a bit to old to go out making new friends.

Most of the people i work with have opened their eyes...and have actually started agreeing with me...they just keep hoping for the best.

My father tells me there is nothing I can do about it...but i think he's wrong. Sitting by thinking things will get better will not make it better. It takes action....peaceful action. The tea parties will be peaceful as long as you don't have angry protesters protesting the protesters!

That's the problems I have here where I live. There are some that have listened and asked for more info or links to get that info. They just don't think anything we do will make a difference. I would rather look my son in the eyes and tell him I tried than look away ashamed because I did nothing.

We can make a difference. I'm just getting tired of talking about it and not doing something....anything.

I've often thought the same thing about my soon to be born baby...what am I going to tell her?

That I was one of those who thought i could do nothing and things would get better? I don't want to be one of those people.

watch maybe the CIA / homeland security will have a spook or two in each city .....to get things very rowdy and incite some officers to shoot tear gas or break up the protest....

That's what I was thinking. Agent provocateurs, then by association; domestic terrorists. It's happened in the past with anti war protests.

I'm going anyway but when things get gnarly, adiós.

I'm sooo glad to see this!

Time to stand up to mega-government, the enemy of liberty!!!

There isn't a left or right anymore, that's a distraction by those seeking to build a monster government that keeps requesting and acquiring more and more powers from our 'representatives'. The monster is fed by more and more tax money taken by force and threat from it's own people.

We have a single party government - it's the Democrat-Republican party. We keep mixing the left and right, but when you have a single party, power is concentrated without limits of reason - think National Socialist party.

These posts are a great read ... Tea Party's everywhere!

Left or (mostly) right leaning political citizens will be there.

It's ironic that the whole Tea Party thing got started on a cue from what's considered to be one of the most left leaning TV sources... MSNBC.

Credit to [color=gold]Rick Santelli

Thanks for the wonderful idea. Wonder if he still has a job at MSNBC?

I wish all the Americans the best of luck at the Tea Parties.

I just hope that they are prewarned by the organisers about possible agent provocoteurs who are bound to show up and try to derail their message by creating trouble.

I love parties of all types, keg, tea, biscuit, birthday, etc...

But to me [a paranoid, conspiracy theorist] this party seems just a little to convenient, planned and staged.

Who are the organizers and are they who they say they are?

Data fishing perhaps? Just the thing the neocons would do to lazer in on the malcontents.

Don't bring yer geetar friend... All it takes is a few well placed shots into a crowd and this country is at war with it self. As you are aware Barrack ALAH Osama destroyed this country back in 2000, now we need to oust the socialistismisters and ELECT

a real AMERICAN patriotic!

JEB BUSH!

Raising taxes on the top 1% is terrorist and JED will make sure the middle class pays their fare share!

OUR 100 year old bridges and unemployed people are all the plot of NWO LIBERALS, tax's only emboldening our enemies!!!

This is great! Tea parties are going on everywhere! I found one right here in my obscure little hometown most have never heard of before. Thanks a million OP, more people need to read this and get involved!

But always remember... Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words!

Take action! Write your congressman. Bombard them with letters. Send pictures of teabags (apparently, actual teabags are being withheld by the post office for "security reasons") to them and others involved with these bills. Take back what is ours! Let these parties be the start of a revolution that would make our founding fathers proud to have established our unique form of government. Take a stand for our children and their children's children! Save ourselves!

Don't just read and post and say, "What a great idea." DO IT! NOW!

If this gets big... and continues to grow, it will show a united political front the likes of which have never been seen before.

David

Thank you for this thread. S&F!!

The links are invaluable. There will be several tea parties for me to choose from here, but I think I'll go to the one in NH.

Don't be dismayed by the naysayers, David. Read some of the comments from some of the states at that link you provided. People all across America are fed up and getting madder by the day.

This will lead to some changes in Washington. A good opportunity for libertarians and other 3rd party to grab a few more seats in 2010 and 2012.

I'll be going to the tea party in Savannah, GA. There are others closer but Savannah has the best hospitals.

Savannah is known as a party city and River Street is where the tea party is. I imagine it will be a glorious event with all the bars and restaurants very busy.

I have many friends in Savannah including several friends at a local TV station.

In my opinion this will be a good test as to what the American people are thinking and willing to do for our country.

By the way I am a red neck carrying a few guns but I will be armed only with tea for this event. I may be a redneck but I'm not an idiot.

I would feel like a hypocrite if I did not participate in this event since I have been very vocal concerning present situation in our country.

Actually, I'll be working as a producer/cameraman/crew for the local cable channel video taping the proceeding and interviewing the attendees and organizers as to what their specific goals are. As a member of the press my job will be just to archive events that take place in the community and present the events without bias so the viewers can make up their own mind. Old school journalism; not just for breakfast anymore.
